Hey so Im new to this board but basically ive got a pc that i built three months ago- i5 6500, 16gb hyper x ram, msi b-150, EVGA gtx 970 sc, a 1tb hdd, and its all in a corsair spec-alpha white and red case and Ive recently obtained around 160 quid- $210 and I was wondering if you guys could recommend any upgrades I could make to it and if its worth starting out a custom water cooling loop starting with only the cpu but being compatible with adding the gpu to the loop later on?

I don't need MS office, video editors or image editors particularly. Libreoffice does the job for me, and gimp is also sufficient.

The problem with this will be removing all the heat. If you stop shrinking, power consumption only goes up, and all that power will ultimately be converted to heat.
