What does /g/ think about PowerShell and Microsoft open-sourcing it?
powershill sucks
linux users dont use ps
windows users dont use ps
why
More open source projects more better.
How does this make you feel, fellow Lincuck friends
>>56147413
why go there
>>56147413
I think it's pretty entertaining to watch Microsoft struggle to keep developers on Windows.
>>56147442
I suppose anything with a stamp on it, they consider they own (like the keyboard)
If you didn't need a graphics card which parts of a computer would you reallocate the money to?
CPU? This thread is for adults only FYI sorry kiddos.
>>56147343
SSD if you don't have one
CPU if you have a use for it
PSU would probably be my choice but a shit PSU killed my computer once so take that with a grain of salt
>>56147343
GPU is pretty much the only part of my current build that actually would benefit from being upgraded. Would prefer to invest in a better chair, desk and perhaps an extra monitor.
>>56147343
monitor
Being European is fucking suffering.
even more expensive here in the netherlands
€340 for MSI's fucking GTX 1060
thanks draghi!

nice b8 m8
Hey so Im new to this board but basically ive got a pc that i built three months ago- i5 6500, 16gb hyper x ram, msi b-150, EVGA gtx 970 sc, a 1tb hdd, and its all in a corsair spec-alpha white and red case and Ive recently obtained around 160 quid- $210 and I was wondering if you guys could recommend any upgrades I could make to it and if its worth starting out a custom water cooling loop starting with only the cpu but being compatible with adding the gpu to the loop later on?
>>56147224
SSD
what one would you recommend? capacity?
Just get a 120 GB for booting up
What do you use for load balancing? Dicks out for haproxy.
Can anyone recommend a redundant load balancer which is both free, and can share an IP address, and works with SMTP/IMAP/HTTPS for use with MS Exchange 2016? Those kikes removed support for fail over clustering, and want my servers to just use DNS round robin, which doesnt really help me when I have to use NAT and cant expose them to the internets.
>>56147165
haproxy reporting in
>>56147165
what is a load balancer essentially?
>inb4 redirects traffic to balance the throughput of each segment
the real question is, how to set up a load balancer from scratch? is it just a nicely managed switch is it it much more?
>tutorial maybe?
4chan now has popup ads on the home screen with mobile occasionally. Don't have adware either, New phone..
There are no ads for me. You have malware.
>>56147172
Dumbass I just restored my phone to factory settings. No way I do.
>>56147196
Why are you calling me a dumbass? I'm not the retard who downloads malware that shows ads on 4chan.
>build some 2500k computer
>buy a 7850
>wait some years
>shills and retarded fanboys of everything
>no actual improvement
>no real use to such technology
>5 fucking years of this loop
I'm mad about technology
And I mean of course about the 5% improvement/year business being alive and well because such retarded fanboys
The fuck are you talking about, OP?
>>56147147
Technology
- no viruses, malware or botnet of any kind
- just works and never breaks, no headaches
- hardware and software synergy
- professional software available (Microsoft Office, video editors, image editors etc.)
- Unix terminal for nostalgic moments
>>56147044
>not even trying
OP is a fag
>>56147065
Same.
>>56147044
>- no viruses, malware or botnet of any kind
There is some, but how is this different from gnu/linux?
>- just works and never breaks, no headaches
Arch has yet to break for me, contrary to le memes
>- hardware and software synergy
works for me
>- professional software available (Microsoft Office, video editors, image editors etc.)
I don't need MS office, video editors or image editors particularly. Libreoffice does the job for me, and gimp is also sufficient.

>>56147036
Nice meme lonix user, how shit is lonix when it has 2% marketshare and the xbox os has much much bigger?
Any good simple note taking program that is cross platform?
(Windows and Android and maybe also GNU+Linux)
I'm currently using The Guide, pic related. It's nice, but Windows only and hasn't been updated since 2008 (doesn't have GUI scaling, for example).
No bloated shit like OneNote...
pen and paper PRO
org-mode
private git repo with text document
Ok you mother fuckers. Can one of you nerds explain to me HOW THE FUCK they do this? I mean in detail, step by step. Point A->B-C. How?
I have facebook open in one tab. I have promptfile open in another tab (redirected to from primewire) illegally streaming the latest episode of Mr Robot.

The Russia thing is a load of bullshit being used to distract attention from Hillary's hit on that poor DNC bastard. Shills were screaming Russia immediately when it could have been anyone. Mark my words, something is amiss and it's source is from within our borders.
The NSA is an intelligence agency. Their job is to gather intelligence (i.e. surveillance). The government is only in charge of keeping their own data secure, it's up to individuals to keep themselves secure.
>After more than 50 years of miniaturization, the transistor could stop shrinking in just five years. That is the prediction of the 2015 International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors, which was officially released earlier this month.
>After 2021, the report forecasts, it will no longer be economically desirable for companies to continue to shrink the dimensions of transistors in microprocessors. Instead, chip manufacturers will turn to other means of boosting density, namely turning the transistor from a horizontal to a vertical geometry and building multiple layers of circuitry, one on top of another.

3D complex logic? Lolno, no way, you'll get the next best thing, multiple dies on a interposer.

>After more than 50 years of miniaturization, the transistor could stop shrinking in just five years.
Stopped reading there, not gonna read an article by some dumbass who can't even proofread
>>56146849
The problem with this will be removing all the heat. If you stop shrinking, power consumption only goes up, and all that power will ultimately be converted to heat.
