Google Docs. Formatting resumes in Libre Office always made them look weird when opening on MS Word. G Docs doesn't seem to have this problem.

why is logical incriments still showing the 480 as a $200 card and the 1060 as a $280 card? LOL

its as if they feel sorry for AMD being BTFO and know damn well when you click those links it says out of stock and when you search both cards on PCpartpicker you see they're both within 10 dollars of eachother and closer to the $250 range

/g/ is in charge of logical increments so you have to answer for yourself.

i also have a hard time believing that a /g/ designed website wouldnt know how to pull live pricing from the major retailers just like pcpartpicker does

theres no reason why they should be listing parts based on some archaic MSRP, or only updated manually ever so often

Hey /g/ i have decided that ill spend a few big bucks on a laptop, i will be using it strictly for college of course. This is where you come in, I want to know whats a good cheap computer under $500 that i can use to do my school work and shit on. Any suggestions ? I preferably want one that will not only cost less but also last me a while. If you think i should raise my budget for a better more reliable laptop let me know what will work best.

I am mixing 1866 and 1500 ram or some shit. Computer will work most of the time but then gets all retarded and won't power on or post. Only the fans will run and I sometimes get the memok led while other times I get the graphics card led.

What could be the problem you think?
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
You can only mix memory that is exactly the same
>>
>>56150915
You shouldn't be doing that. Do you mean 1600?
Try downclocking them both to 1600 or 1333
>>
Or put the slower ram into your number 1 dimm slot, and somtimes it down clocks the next.

Why is there such a large presence of Indians in tech, is this reflected in real life on the job or is it just a /g/ meme?
12 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>56150866
Because Indians are just everywhere. There's like 2 billion of them.
>>
India has invested heavily in tech schools for the past 15 years or so. India has a population of 1.2 Billion.
I've had to deal with a lot of them at my previous job, we outsourced a lot of our "boilerplate" code to them (UML class diagrams to implement, mostly) and we would fill in the technical stuff (in theory, we ended up rewriting a good 60% of what came back anyway). Now I heard that they started outsourcing to Vietnam instead. They still have to correct a few things but overall their work is much better.

I was in a car on my phone and I saw I was connected to something called at&t micro cell. Upon further research I found out it was some sort or repeater. I was just wondering if someone could set something like that up and use it to steal passwords and stuff.

Looks like a cell booster. Some people have them in really bad reception areas.
>>
As long as it's not asking for some sort of password when you connect to it, no.
How come your phone just connected to something on its own?
>>
>>56150923
Anyone can put one up and anyone with the same carrier can connect to it. The cost of them being free or cheap.

Hey Guys,
I was wondering if there was any way I could calibrate the joystick on a gamecube controller so that I could set the actual values of the analog input. I'm guessing i need EEPROM programming but have no clue on how to go about that. Basically i want to be able to instantiate the resting point and the max/min values of it's x/y and have it stay that way even when unplugged. I have googled it a few times and only get answers pointing to emulators which is just virtualization of the inputs and doesn't actually affect the controller itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated

>>
If you only need to do it once and want the easiest and nastiest way of doing it, you could probably just add some resistors to the Joystick to move its center and endpoints.
>>
>>56150789
it would be a one time fix, yes, but it would have to last and be accurate. I should have said that the application would be for Super smash bros melee and the game is very particular about small expressions expressions

1. you're being throttled
2. the site doesn't allow you to download at full speed
3. you're using wifi (why?)
>>
>>56150509
site is full speed i already checked it doesnt even download full speed on my phone
and not using wifi either
>>
>>56150545
how did you check it?

try a different speedtest website

did you try turning it off and back on again?

if all else fails, instal gentu and wait for a miracle.
