Our modern computing power is vastly insufficient to model biological complexity, or any natural complex system in general.
Today even the top supercomputers wouldn't be able to simulate something as small as a single ant on a molecular level, let alone a whole ant colony. And yet ants are much simpler than reptiles or mammals.
Why is modern computing capacity so underperforming and how can we fix this?

Hello all. I am looking for some really good small point and shoot camera to travel with. Thing is I will not bring my 600$ smart phone, but an old fashioned phone and a separate camera, so in case I break something or get robbed, perhaps I might be able to keep one of the items. Anyway: are there any good small cameras that does not cost to much, that can compete with some of the better smart phones?

You can find cheap compact/pocket cameras between $50 and $150. They usually have at least 20MP resolutions which is enough, most phones above $300 have the same resolution, sometimes even lower. I'd recommend Sony cameras.

Alright /g/, I am moving into my college dorm today and I am bringing my desktop with me. The drive is 5 hours, and Im afraid that If I bring the computer that the GPU will snap in two or worse, break my motherboar on the drive over. Hello, I cant decide between those two cards. Price is almost identical (cca 10$ diff). Should I wait a bit for Nitro (maybe till september?), or should I get MSI now? Or I can wait years for Gaming x 480, but I have no idea about price.
Ive seen some benchmarks, where 470 was just like 4% off 480, but Im not sure which versions they compared

So, many sources and rumors (which I personally don't trust) seem to point to the NX using Tegra X1 or X2.
But how powerful are these processors actually and how do they compare to the current gen consoles? Some say the X2 wil be more powerful that PS Neo, other say it's even weaker than Wii U, which is it?
