You pretty much have to be juicing or coming off a long period of low rep training (in which case the soreness is going to be disgusting) for it to really work. It's not effective as a longterm program, nor was it ever really intended to be.

I went from 155lb bench to 195lb bench for reps and my lifts have been exploding and I've even prepped my meals for the week

Some guy at my gym had the flu and he went from 2 plate bench to 185lbs

I can't let this happen.
