How do you manage to stay in the gym if you've got really bad depression?

Have you ever overcame dealing with your depression and gotten fit? if so any advice?

about me:

>used to be fit at 5'10
>started at 160lb in my wrestling team in hs
>now 215lbs
>always low energy
>try going to the gym
>leave after doing some cardio and doing a couple of sets

I really want to get better but something keeps dragging me down hard

I pushed through it and lifting made me feel alot better, i also had school and a good job to support me
Plus i managed to find out the reason i was so depressed was of how much i focused on dating and how shitty it is, those thoughts still pop up every now and again but i manage to supress them now that i know where all my sadness and anger come from

Just push through it and try to find out what makes you depressed anon

When I was 17 I gained 40 pounds in 1-2 months,
cause I had severe depression at that point
and food was the only thing distracting me from wanting to die.

Now that I turned 18 and have my whole adult life to look forward to...
I have to fight a new problem: stretchmarks that are covering my whole right hip.
(pic is related but my stretch marks are thicker, redder and I have more of them in the same place)
Am i doomed to never achieve 10/10 aesthetics,
just because I ate too much during a dark period of my life?

I went swimming with my class the other day and all the girls were staring at my body in disgust.
It was only for a split second, but I could see their eyes widden in terror.

Nobody actually cares, work on yourself and your body. I know that sounds easier than it is, but not caring what others think about you and focusing on your own progress is the first step to getting 'mires.

Hello /fit/. Finally started to try to lose weight today. Packed on a lot of fat over the past two years (as you can see by the pic). Legs are alright, even fairly muscly however my upper body especially the stomach and chest are far too fatty for my liking. Also lacking a large deal of upper body strength. The routine im going with atm is:
>10 pushups
>25 situps
>45s front plank
>7 reps of legups
>30s side plank (1 rep on each side)
>25 pushups
>35 situps
>60s front plank
>5 reps legups
could do with something to replace the second set of push-ups; don't have the upper body strength to complete it so I don't end up getting anything out of it. Still want something that works the upper body but as I say I just cant do the full set of push ups. Is there basic tips you have like diet, times to exercise etc? Also anything I can do in addition to this to burn the fat quicker?

Hey guys. I've started rock climbing 3 days a week to in shape. I also want to have better cardio so I started running. The thing is, my calves hurt so bad after running and they get worse if I try running even 2 days later.
