i have a problem, /fat/. i've completely lost my appetite. i dont mean it in a "i cant eat 15 hamburgers like i used to", but more like "i struggle to get 1500 calories of junk food in my stomach over an 18 hour period". srs, i get hungry once a day but a single sandwich and i'm stuffed to the gills. some days i can only get in 1000-1200, but my TDEE is ~2900 with a sedentary lifestyle and i do 2-5 hours of cardio a week and do a modified version of starting strength on top of it. i have yet to feel any side effects, other than being a bit more sore after lifting or an extra hard cardio session, but i'm not stupid and its only a matter of time before my body starts to really understand i'm consistently undereating by a significant margin. even though i fucking hated it at first, i dont want to stop doing cardio or lifting but i also don't want to lose every bit of muscle and sanity that i have left while also fucking up my internal organs.

i have generalized depression and anxiety, but nothing out of the normal has happened recently. and having a reduced appetite isnt a problem, but being unable to eat to the point where you're eating like an anorexic seems like it would be a problem for someone trying to improve their health

What would REALLY happen if I did a low-dose DNP cycle, on a 1.5k calorie deficit, getting sufficient amount of protein, in cold weather, and being completely responsible about my dose and symptoms?

DNP is seriously sensationalised in the media with the death horror stories and blindness, but we all know that the media's representation of drugs is nowhere near accurate. Most drugs won't have any long-lasting damage/effects at all as long as the substance isn't abused. I want to know if DNP is the same.

Please share your experience and convince me that DNP is just as safe as any other drug as long as it's not misused

what do you mean by a low dose?
You would lose fat fast. And muscle too with that kind of deficit.

You would feel like utter shit also. You won't really be able to enjoy life.

I have used DNP mate, several years ago.
I did 250mg daily.
It makes you feel crap. It makes sticking to a diet really hard.

I personally don't think you would last on a 1500kcal deficit + DNP.
Its hard to enjoy life on that kind of deficit without DNP, let alone with it.

Bench, not enough.

Anxiety and depression, not fixed yet... slightly better than it was.

Training and getting my diet in check has helped a little with the feels.

For years I was like you struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, classic stuff. One day i've had enough and I decided that finally I would take responsability for my situation.

Slowly but surely I started taking action ; talking to people, getting out of my comfort zone, taking hobbies and even approaching women at some point. It's like a domino effect, once you start taking small actions your confidence increases as your brain gets positive references.

So you get more confident and the whole process gets wayyy easier. The hardest is to actually start. Trust me it will suck but you have to learn that YOU are ultimately in control of your happiness and thoughts. It's all up to you. You're a man stop acting like a victim. Great men go after what they want and they aren't afraid of failure for they know failure and pain is growth. Women get to play the victim card and rely on society.

Be proud of being a man and start taking action now. As Ghandi said : ''Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.''

Get out there and and enjoy the grind. Good luck.

Anxiety has mellowed with age. I still feel anxious when I talk to strangers, including ordering pizza delivery. But it's not nearly as bad as it used to be.

I just started running to lose weight and the main problems i have so far is that my legs(specifically my calves) get extremely sore before I even run out of breath.

Does anybody else get this too? Is there a solution?

Question about cutting and protein...

So I'm doing my first official cut and am a bit confused about how much I can adjust my protein or if I should at all.

I am 198lbs, about 25% bodyfat roughly...

I was taking:

Protein = 272 g (39%)
Carbs = 317 g (45%)
Fat = 116 g (16%)

For my cut I will be doing:

Protein = 208 g (38%)
Carbs = 251 g (46%)
Fat = 91.4 g (17%)

As you can see, I went from 272g of protein to 208 g.

Being 198lbs, I figured I was already doing decent for bulking, but for cutting I could lessen it a bit to lessen overall calories and keep ratios. Basically I was lessening it but since I was still over the 1g per 1 lbs rule, I thought I was good.

But gymbros are telling me I shouldn't have touched protein, or that I should even increase it on a cut, but then I'm thinking my ratios would be ridiculous and I'd be getting way too much protein and also burning out if I were to just cut carbs.

Advice?

True, but between school, work and training I can't really afford to do an hour of cardio several times a week.

I will eventually try to work HIIT in when I'm closer to 10% bf but for now I can't keep a cardio schedule :\

Even 1g per 1 lb is an estimate but yeah anything over 0.7g/lb lean mass is good. Personally I cut carbs most aggressively but that's just how I've been able to operate comfortably at a deficit. Cutting carbs before touching the other macros helps me avoid cravings and I never feel like crazy hungry. At my most aggressive I could drop a lb a day but muscle seemed to be dropping at a faster rate as well. You WILL lose some
muscle no way to get around it but as long as you are still working out and paying attention to your body you can minimize this.
