It's payday. This only comes twice a month. To celebrate, you make a special trip to the hip, upscale "Subway" restaurant for cool fashionable people, where this pretentious sandwich artist tries to culturally intimidate you by trying to trick you into pronouncing the word "avacado" (sp?)
Your big night out is ruined. You mentally cancel plans to splurge on a 20 ounce refillable soda. How do you put this America-hating traitor in his place and make sure he knows he should of got a real job?
>>7906809
Why are Americans triggered by avocados?
>>7906820
Because they're shit millennial garbage
>>7906820
Because flyovers are afraid of vegetables. I wish they'd be range banned
>Boil some tea.
>The bag boils for like 8 seconds more than it should.
>Now the whole tea tastes like the bag itself instead of the tea.
>>7906706
>putting tea into boiling water
You fucked up by design, brother
>>7906708
Huh?
>>7906706
Why the fuck would you use teabags?
Too poor for good quality leaves?
Enjoy your disgusting fannings, OP.
What would Gordon Ramsey say to my friend potatoes with onions and Bacon?
That's buttermilk in my glass, goes great with it.
>>7906659
>What would Gordon Ramsey say to my friend potatoes
He'd most likely say that the friendship was one-sided.
>>7906667
wew that made me laugh
>>7906659
Rustic, a great family/home dish but wouldn't pay for it in a restaurant.

Cooking rabbit for the first time.
>I smeared some fat on the pan
>cut some onions in half
>salt, freshly ground black pepper and marjoram on the rabbit
>cover the pan in tinfoil
>cook at 180° for 30 mins
Will report back after 30 mins when I remove the foil and cook for another 10 mins on 220 °C.
>>7906483
undercooked desu
Now 10-12 minutes on 220°C to get the outside crispy (hopefully).
Smells absolutely delicious.
Post your best recipes thread.

That depressing childhood food memories thread is making me sad.
Post happy childhood food memories and stuff you do/will do with your kids related to food.
>your kids
I didn't learn to cook until I was in grad school, but both my parents took turns cooking great food half the week, and took me out to restaurants the other half of the week, teaching me proper etiquette and how to behave in public from a young age.
I'd kind of like to do the same one day, but it's starting to feel like it's a little too late to be fucking around with little people.

I was an army brat growing up and I was in germany for a couple years. But it eventually came time to go back to the states and we packed our bags and took a flight back. Well after a few hours flying we got off the plane and were waiting for the next flight and we were all hungry and stopped off at a restaurant in the airport it was nice with glass tables on a balcony and I remember ordering some scrambled eggs for breakfast. I was expecting plain old eggs like i have every morning. However these were the most tender buttery scrambled eggs i have ever eaten they came in a sheet that was folded over twice. Now every time i make scrambled eggs i always try to at least capture that flavor.

As a kid I have memories of eating insanely delicious pizza. I have a magnet my parents made of a picture of me and brother eating a pizza during some sort of vacation trip and it's this super cheesy looking pizza and I absolutely remember it tasting amazing. It was the pizza I always compared to in the back of my head for years. Now I've forgotten what it tasted like but I still remember the feeling.
Also, my step grandma's cookies during the holidays was always nice. I've since realized that she's kind of a shit cook (she makes awful spaghetti sauce that is dark and bitter as fuck) but just the aura of a fuckton of homemade decorative Christmas cookies was so great.
What do you think about the Cake Boss and his cakes?
I really like some of the early episodes, so comfy.
Imagine being on that bakery, I'd feel like a children on a candy store, except that I apreciate pastry and cakes even more than simple candy.
btw, there was an episode where they made some italian sweet pastry rolls stuffed with ricotta cheese and sugar, I fail to remember the name of that sweet but damn, sometimes I do crave some of those.
Cake shows are the worst thing to have ever happened to food television.
They're not even about food; they're more like decoration shows where the cake is always the same and it's all about them adding some goofy decoration.

>They're not even about food; they're more like decoration shows where the cake is always the same and it's all about them adding some goofy decoration.
This and this. I remember watching this show expecting dank cakes and new joisy cannoli shenanigans and what I got instead was icing and decorations wrapped around nameless boring cakes.
Best frozen pizza
Never heard of it.
Would you like some cheese and sauce with your ham on bread?
>>7906164
>anything other than minimal sauce on pizza
enjoy your kiddie fare
how do i stop eating so often? my will power is too weak against delicious food
pathetic. you're not even in control of your own body? might as well kill yourself, fatty
Read Nietzche and Evola. Immolate your former self, and burn it in the fires of self-transmutation.
>>7905841
or just kill yourself

or develop IBS
I had to cut out so much food once my IBS started flaring up.
Hi,
I fell asleep making a pizza in the gas oven.
I only have bread sandwiches left and i'm not eating those again for the billionth time this month.
I'm so hungry. Is this fixable/edible - I mean it's all the same ingredient stuffs just cooked in the pizaa? It won't killl me?
Like cold milk or warm milk is the same etc.
>>7905707
If you google image this, it thinks it's a chocolate brownie.... so no, bread sandwiches it's.
It'll definitely filter your bowels like an air purifier.
>be me
>get drunk as fuck
>get hungry
>put pizza in oven
>forget about it and pass out
>smoke detectors start going off
>pizza looks like op pic
>eat half of it anyway
>next morning feel like shit and have charcoal burps
And thats why i cant cook anything with charcoal anymore
Just started a Garde Manger position with no experience but since i haven't gotten fired yet and i've been there for 3 weeks now I guess i'm an "asset" to the restaurant. The owner chef of the restaurant just told me he was going to pay my first 29 hrs at 12/hr then 29 hr at 8/hr then 11 hrs at 10/hr then 2.5 hrs in cash at 10/hr to avoid paying me overtime. Should i quit I hate the job anyway but don't have another job lined up
>>7905617
You should be jizzing in your pants to be getting paid that much to work cold side with no experience.
Keep your ears open and your mouth shut and you might just learn a trade.
>>7905617
Fuck that if you were a real asset they would pay you like it
Tell em 15 an hour or you quit
>>7905617
Do whatever you want, nobody here gives a shit. If you listen to advice of people who don't know you and don't give a shit, you're a fucking idiot.
Well, I just got hired on for a new job after months of unemployment. What kinds of things can I make that are healthy and tasty for lunch? It's in a big office with a break room. I can't really go out to eat for lunch because everywhere around is so fucking expensive.
Fucking Belltown, man.
