Cook-along, sorry for the shit tier pictures.
Started by rough chopping some onions, peeled carrots, and garlic
Tossed in a pan with some salt and pepper
After getting some color, added 50/50 chicken stock and water until completely submerged.
my pan didn't come with a lid
>go to burger joint
>order a burger
>they bring out a plate of empty buns
>puts it on your table and said your order will be right out
>burger comes
>4 times larger than the bun it's on
>bun is wet with juicy goodness
>apparently extra buns are to use for the burger when your original bun runs out
... I don't know what to think, /ck/. How do you feel about this?
Pic semi-related; burger, but not the burger I had

>I'm fat.
>>7905310
What the shitting fuck?
A burger is a sandwich. Two entities of bread with a fucking filling meant to be eaten by hand conveniently.
You might as well serve that shit you're describing in a fucking trough.

Calm your autism down boy, it'll be alright, just calm down.
Any keto friendly snacks out there? I've been on keto the last 3 months and I've lost 25lbs. The only time I think about cheating is when I'm watching TV and wanna snack
>>7905307
cheese
Find the vitamin section of your local grocery. Nearby they will have the "dietary aides" aisle. There you will find Atkins shakes and snacks. Many are chocolate. Most have 2-4 carbs.
I thought that guy had tusks from the thumbnail
"He reverse sears his steak!"
>>7905268

>>7905268
>reverse sears his steak

Alright boys, it's that time of the year again. It's too fucking hot to cook.
Name your top 2 go to no cooking recipes.
That means no toaster, no oven, or stove.
I'll accept the microwave because it doesn't produce heat.
I was thinking about making some sushi, but what else can I do?
Ceviche
>>7905017
wedge salad
I usually crush up some croutons instead of bacon though. If you're lazier you can use bacon bits
>>7905021
I've never had ceviche senpai, what is the texture of the fish like?
So I just made pork carnitas following this recipe
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utgL-3nOZbM
They turned out pretty well I think. Crispy on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside. Do you guys ever try out Chef John's recipes?
>>7904997
No. But that looks edible as fuck
>>7904997
>carnitas on flour tortillas
Use corn tortillas pleb
>>7905067
I have in the past, this is my first time trying flour and I think it works pretty well. But yeah corn is nice.
>Be a god tier ingredient that is one of the cornerstones of European cuisine
>incredibly aromatic and versatile

Has any food been degraded and humiloated as much as celery by modern media?

>tastes like water except your mouth is now full of unchewable fibers
gee i wonder why people prefer carrots
>>7905005
>tastes like water
You legitimately have a damaged sense of smell
here is the plan - we submit a book to penguin publishing with /ck/ recipes which everyone will get credit for.

2.hardcore
3.vegan
4.under 10 buckeroonis
5.desserts
>try to be original
>there is 200 shares available each post will get 1 share
>no limit to submissions
>I will check thread every 10 minutes
>need at least 100 submissions
if you need info AMA
normally anon, yours - W.D.K.
I'll contribute one of my grandma's recipes if you get rid of the vegan section
>>7904895
I need it to entice the mentally Ill to purchase this book.
on top of that i'll need a way to contact people who submit shit so they get credit. Put a trash email or some shit i'm not about to plagiarize.
I'm not sure which one to eat. If I made them with the directions on the back only, what rank would each ramen be from worst to best.
Middle one
Those are all trash.
>>7904741
take the middle one chop up bit of smoked sausage, cocktail weinies, or if you have to a hot dog. Beat one egg and get a slice of cheese. Boil the ramen with the vegi and spoce packet and add in the sausage then when the noodles start getting soft add the egg and stir till its all cooked them finally add in the slice of cheese and stir. Bowl and eat.
How bad an idea is it to cook with frozen squid I bought at a bait shop?
The grocery store doesn't have any squid
serious question
should be fine, they treat bait like people will be eating it
>>7904652
Just ask the bait shop guy.
>>7904652
nice b8, m8

hi guys, what's going on in this thread?
Anyone have any drink recipes. I dont drink alcohol because i am not an alcoholic. Some people call them mocktails i call them festive drinks. I like a good festive drink after a hard day. I call this a mountainrita.
Kys or back to rebbit
Is that ginger ale and graham crackers?
>>7904617
Son, is that mountain dew in one of your mother's water glasses with crushed doritos on the rim?
I have a bunch of swiss chard. What do i do with it?
>>7904397
I think usually people just sautee it with garlic and oil.
>>7904402
k. thanks.
Cook a bunch of it for a little bit (like 5 minutes) in hot water, rinse it, chop it, mix it with chopped onions, garlic, a little flour and two eggs, pan fry it both sides, boom, delicious chard tortilla
You describe to a lowly pleb who has only ever had beef, chicken pork and seafood what all the less common types of meat taste like
(Lamb duck deer rabbit turkey etc)
I can try and compare the complex flavors to something I'm sure you're familiar with.
>hint: it's penis
>>7904351
You seem to be quite experienced in the taste of penis.
>>7904347
Frog legs have a taste and texture of half chicken half fish (blue gill, crappie, pan fishes). Only tried wild frogs, never farm raised
Chili is one of that things I never felt like making myself, like pizzas sushi and all that shit you usually buy "premade" but its about time to do it
Can I get that long image of chili recipe or just some recipes?
>>7904210
"that long image" is shit. I'll post a step-by-step of some chili that doesn't suck.
I found it
>>7904215
Nice, I will look at it, will buy the shit in a couple of hours
>>7904215
First you need some peppers. Variety is good since it makes for better flavor. Fuck pre-ground chili powder, that stuff loses a lot of flavor once it's ground and exposed to the air.
Clockwise from upper left: Anaheim, Guajillo, arbol, ancho, jalapeno, and habanero
