You have 3 seconds to justify why you don't eat farm-to-fork.
I can't find a fork big enough to pick up an entire farm
Because I live in a gardening zone 3, only 39 frost free days a year. And I'm in the middle of the Rockies. To compensate I can a lot when I do get fresh food.

Shopping at the supermarket is cheaper.
>500% more expensive
>no taste differences
Is olive oil the biggest meme of all time?
>>7904020
>No taste difference
what did you mean by this?
>>7904020
>expensive
I get a 94oz jug of extra virgin olive oil from Lebanon for $15. That's pretty fucking cheap. I would never buy olive oil at the supermarket.
>>7904020
>no taste differences
what did the author intend by this?
>chicken sandwich
>spicy chicken sandwich
>chicken sandwich with vegetables
Fucking Wendy's has more chicken variety.
>>7903877
The difference being Chik-fil-a chicken > Wendy's chicken.
Variety doesn't matter when you make the best fucking chicken sandwich in the entire country
>>7903877
you forgot their salads and breakfast biscuits
Wish I had this in my country desu, cereal over here it's either have a choice of disgustingly sugary shit or Corn Flakes.
hold up, does it stay a brick or sort of disperse somehow as it soaks in the milk
i'm guessing the former, looks pretty good either way
>>7903704
That photo is clearly just the stuff straight out of the package photoshopped onto a white background.
When you pit it in milk it starts to soak it up. If you eat it right away it's mostly the solid-ass brick that comes in the package. The longer you let it sit the mushier it becomes. Let it sit several minutes and it disperses with the consistency of loose oatmeal.
>>7903704
Stays a brick if you leave it in the milk too long the texture is awful
Is there any point in sweating something if you're gonna boil it anyways? can you explain please?
Nah, there's no point, it's just something silly superstitious yuropeons do, totally unscientific. Forget about it.
>>7903623
Like, I feel like you're using a dismissive tone here sir, and I'm just curious what the function is. surely the flavors are released anyways when it's boiled?
>>7903611
Boiling is a higher temp, you're not going to get the flavor out of the mirepoix, and the point of sweating is to flavor the fat (butter in most instances).
I've been doing some serious counting this summer and I'd say 5 a day and 35 a week is still rather low weight. The true hardcore would sit outdoor all day long and drink a whole 24 case. Alas that might not be possible several days a week, so it might still end up at 35 cold ones.
>>7903564
You're drunk right now aren't you?
>>7903564
>The true hardcore would sit outdoor all day long and drink a whole 24 case
it's time to stop
>>7903564
You're a fucking alcoholic and denial is one of the hallmarks of addict behavior.
Drinking five beers every day makes you a functional alcoholic, there's nowhere to go but down once five isn't enough to get a buzz going.
>mfw I get a an extra item in my mcdonald's bag by mistake
nice post
>>7903546
is that nose real?
ITT we discuss Chobani yogurt, and how it is the most delicious yogurt, and other yogurt related news.
A yogurt general.
>what do you think of the new meze dips?
>what is the best flip cup flavor?
>why do pumpkin yogurts have to be seasonal, and not available year round?
Speaking of flavors not available year round, did anyone else try the green tea flavor?
I did, once, and recall it being pretty a-okay.
Hmm I wonder who could be behind this post?
chill shill
How and why did American food go full pleb?
USA took a bunch of immigrants from Europe over the last few centuries and somehow blending these groups destroyed all their food culture in the process so we have burgers and dyed orange cheese. USA doesn't eat organ meat though Europeans do - why is that?
You made the mistake of believing the Euromeme. America improved on European cuisine in every possible way.
Compare Italian-American to "Italian" food. Italians don't have garlic bread, don't have chicken OR veal parmesan, think spaghetti and meatballs should be separate dishes, consider chicken alfredo haram, and put potatoes on their pizza but not chicken.
Mass production and the excessive use of salt and sugar?
most of the immigrants were anglo and germanic. shit + shit = shit.
What's the greatest cookie known to man?
Fuck you, it's chocolate chip macaroons.
Fight me nerds.
Wow, /ck/ doesn't have any cookie recipes?
I thought this was a cooking board.
>>7902357
Maybe you should contribute something instead of just sitting around waiting for spoonfeeding then sperging out when not replied to immediately on a slow board.
>>7902357
go fuck a stick
How does a good guacamole look and taste like?
And most important how do you make it?
avos, red onion, tomato, lime, salt, pepper
mix and enjoy
>>7901851
Fuck traditionalists and hipsters, the best guacamole is blended
1. Chunky > Smooth
2. Onions are not needed
3. Cilantro is needed
4. So are tomatoes
5. Try spicing it up with peppers
6. Lime juice, ya dingus!
What's your favorite flavor of these? I'm going to buy a couple varieties for the first time as I've only ever had pepperoni pizza
>>7901392
I once squeeze a pepperoni and cheese hot pocket and this orange, lardy shit came out. I vowed never again to eat one ever since.
Hot pockets are such crap and I don't remember any distinctive marketing growing up, so I have no clue why anybody buys them other than that they're lazy convenience foods that don't constitute an entire meal so fatties can eat them throughout the day as a "light snack".
Seriously though, they're such shit.
>>7901392
Philly steak & cheese, and the meatball&mozzarella varieties are the best.
What's your favorite hot sauce /ck/?
I like 'cha but I'm looking for something spicier. I tried Cholula today and it's not very hot at all.
Any recs for something very hot?
Firehouse subs has a good selection.
>>7901127
Valentina extra hot is great!
El yucateca senpai
Hope none of you have eaten these lately :^)
I've joined Not Dog America as well. No tube, is good tube. Spread the word.
Oh man I love shitty hotdogs. Way better than expensive ones.
>but anon they use the lips and the asshole!!!
Yes. Delicious lips and assholes
>>7899732
enjoy the listeria!
I just got a job at Kroger working the Deli. Hows that compare to bagging/pushing carts? I'll be making sandwiches and cooking some of the food and keeping the area clean etc.
>>7899661
It's infinitely better. I mean, it's shit work. Hard work. You still have to deal with obnoxious people and incompetent coworkers. But at least you don't have to exercise the patience that cashiers do when it comes to slow and/or rude customers. And you don't have to be on cart duty. Of all the possible jobs in the grocery, the one you got is pretty decent.
>>7899670
Cool, I figured it beats doing produce or something.
I've got two places of employment near me most convenient to work at and within my skill level...
A working class super market and a burger king
Which should I go for? Keep in mind that although I'm not a sperg, I'd prefer not to talk with anybody.
