i like to make quick soups like this but i never know what noodles to use
pick related is portioned instant udon but i also use instant ramen and just throw away the flavor pack
there must be a more economical way?
anyone?
>>8479179
That doesnt make sense, what you said. Please re-phrase.
>>8479179
>quick soups
please explain what you mean with this, first. do you have stock ready to go or what?
Usually when I get canned fish, it's packed in water.
This time I got it packed in olive oil instead.
I was wondering are you supposed to drain the oil and rinse the fish off, or are you supposed to eat the oil with it?
>>8478904
Drain the oil, eat the fish. In the case of tuna packed in oil the oil eliminates the need for mayo when making a sandwich with it. I much prefer fish packed in oil to fish packed in water, but if you're counting calories keep in mind the oil adds some.

Ah, thank you for the advice.
I'm on keto right now, so I can eat as much meat and fat as I want. I figured the olive oil would help give some free omega-3's
i pour out the oil and then dump everything on a paper towel to absorb a bit more oil
Post preparation techniques, rubs, and recipes.

I like to smoke mine over charcoal and apple wood chips. It tastes delicious, and if you can get it to stay a bit cooler and smoke for like 6 hours its incredible
What's up with bologna? My dad is obsessed with the shit, he always wants to eat bologna as opposed to other deli meats
You either really like it or you completely dislike it. It's kind of odd, really. I don't like it and never have. My brother will eat it every chance he gets and has for 37 years.
>>8478130
Also, I don't like hot dogs either because they remind me of bologna.
It's probably a comfort thing. Reminds him of something nice.
Filtered or Unfiltered?
unfiltered I guess, if you're into all that probiotic stuff
so what are they filtering?
>>8478622
The "mother", aka the bacteria which create vinegar from alcohol.
There's probably also some of the original grain/fruit/whatever that the alcohol was originally made from. So there would be a little malted barley in malt vinegar, a little apple in apple cider vinegar, etc.
How much is too much?
There's no such thing as too much butter

Why is it so hard to find a malty beer with complex flavors?
"Wheatbeer" is always blandly sweet and "Belgian" means they went insane with the yeast
I have 22 eggs that expire today and I would prefer not waste them. Is it healthy to eat this many eggs in one day? How should I cook them? What should I eat with them?
>>8475309
I can't think of any food that it is healthy to eat 22 of in a day.
quiche
pickle
creme pat
aged nog
eggs stay good for way past their expiry date
old eggs are great for boiling
you can tell if they're rotten if the float in water
Does ground beef need to be cooked completely through?
It does if you like awful dry burgers with no flavor
They should be cooked more than that though, more like this
While a regular steak can get away with only having the outside cooked, because any pathogens will not make it all the way to the inside, ground beef can potentially have bacteria all over it. Yes, it does need to be cooked all the way through.
If you trust your meat source you don't need to but it's better safe than sorry.

Does anyone else get really fucked up diarhea from drinking coffee...?
I can't explain it. All my life its been a powerful laxative. Sometimes when Im constipated I just drink a cup of joe and that clears the pipes. Is this some kind of rare medical condition
Yeah, probably has something to do with the caffeine.
Also Historia best girl.
coffee being a laxative is just an urban wives fable
>>8480230
Im pretty sure its not considering whenever I have a cup I get a mean bellyache and have to make a run for the stalls 20min later
Most annoying food fandoms?
Personally, anybody who is a winefag/beerfag/coffeefag and seems to think there's a difference between anything above shit tier.
Also, anyone who is a picky eater over the age of twelve.
Also also, anyone who is "gluten-free", but clearly couldn't describe what the hell gluten is if asked, let alone what it actually does to them.

I can't stand anyone who insists on boiling water with a kettle or in a pot.
A microwave does it faster and for less electricity.
>>8480137
Electric kettle is far more efficient than a microwave.
And if you live somewhere where the wall voltage is 240 it's much faster.
Do you put cookies on your pizzas?
Do Americans really do this?
>>8479966
yes, now go eat some crumpets and tea you little sissy bitch
>>8479966
No, it's supposed to be a heat up your meal and desert thing. You don't put the cookies on the pizza.
Whats your favorite homemade Asian cuisine? Just made a Home Made szechuan chicken stir fry over udon noodles.

What makes it szechuan? Or are you throwing that word around just because?
Mine?
Mapo tofu. Though just about anything with doubanjiang in it is god tier.

I made pork belly over coconut rice last week, came out good enough that it's gone now.
A few months ago I made orange chicken, what a HUGE pain in the ass that turned out to be. Super messy, super time consuming and I just didn't get the flavor right. It wasn't inedible but I personally wasn't happy with the results.
Is Ghirardelli a good brand for chocolate? How is it compared to shit tier Hershey?
nothing special about it except the name.
>>8479617
It's better than Hershey but considering Hershey chocolate is essentially chocolate colored wax that's not saying a lot.
>>8479625
This.
