What mammal do you find to be the most interesting and why? I personally like the mongoose because it's not afraid to take on venomous snakes. I also find it interesting how the mongoose is immune to a certain quantity of snake venom.
>I know one and only one thing about mongooses and still have the nerve to make a bullshit thread about my "interest"
Fuck off retard

I honestly don't know what to think. I thought I might invite the views of people smarter than me on the subject.

Makes sense to me.
It says they have over 235,000 horses + 67,000 wild ones and their population doubles every 4 years because they have no predators.
They have to do something to keep their numbers down. I don't see any alternatives.
>>2216826
COULDNT TEAR ME AWAAAAYY
>>2216826
I can't believe Black Lives Matter is going to kill all those horses :'^(
Should people who treat their pets like little humans be exterminated?
i'd rather see a dog in an outfit than a dog chained outside
no atleast they're trying, most pet owners don't even do that.
At least he have attention.
Post Sneks pls

ah, and the classic "experts" talking inbetween the scenes
>Anon your pet is so cute, can I hold them?
Every time. I sometimes get so impatient that I'll grab them back while the person asking is distracted and casually say okay that's enough now
What kind of pet food you have OP?
>inb4 pitbull

Ferrets
Since one's especially cuddly with me when other people hold him for over 10 seconds I end up like my OP pic.
How much do this tortoises cost in your country?
Mine? Free.
You find them almost every where and even hatchlings.
>>2216594
ok?
Is this the part where I'm supposed to get mad or something?
>>2216596
I'm curious though.
I saw in a other thread that the hatchlings cost over 100 dollars which is crazy for me since in my town they are everywhere.
>>2216601
Maybe it's because they don't live in an area that has wild Greek tortoises? Crazy right?
What was his problem?
Nothing really, he just woke up scared after the anesthesia. He was in a place he didn't know at all.
Other than that he was really sweet to his owners and when he first came in.

He's a cat.
Something I've rapidly learnt as a vet student is that cats are normally lovely until you stick a needle in them/try to do anything with them- then they want to claw your eyes out.
So I've been taking care of a wild cat that's been lurking around our apartment complex. I feed it, pet it (maybe a bad idea?), and it now sleeps outside on one of my patio chairs every night, waiting for me to come out.
I can't figure out if its a boy or a girl to save my soul.
I took a picture of its butt for the sake of figuring this out, lol. Fucking image wouldn't rotate.
Looks female from what I see but if you could provide a better picture it would be easier. Do you see any balls right below the butthole?
>>2216496
Only the cat can decide there gender you insensitive fuck.
If you can't really see anything then its female. Cat balls are very noticeable. They don't hang, more like stick out from behind
This cat is female, or possibly a neutered male too I guess. You might have to dig a little.
Post up your trash pandas.
ok
So, just why is a raven like a writing desk?
They both have feathers, except for the writing desk.
Neither are capable of understanding that first use of the word digicam that we have found was as a trademark name owned by J & G Coughtrie Ltd Montrose Avenue, Hillington, Glasgow, G52 4LZ, United Kingdom, dated 6 January 1989 (trade mark number UK00001369395), but it is no longer in effect.
dumb pseudo-intellectuals.
I found this puppy abandoned on a box in a bus stop, no one cared about it, it can barely walk and doesnt stop shaking, probably hasnt eaten so i put a plate with lots of milk and its eating like crazy, also covered it with a short as blanket.
I dont know what to do now, please help.
>abandoned half dead puppy
>better give it a plate with lots of milk

>>2216346
Take it to the vet, or call an animal shelter ASAP to find a group with the capacity to give it the care it needs to recover.

>>2216187
Always the owner, dogs learn how they are expected to behave from their owners, in the cases of agressin there is always an underlying cause that has not been addressed
>>2216190
I don't know man. I've met some dogs that are just plain dickheads.
But seriously, in the case of a dog shitting itself, it's never the dog's fault. Either it's sick or the owner didn't have the patience to take it out.
>>2216200
Some dogs are dicks, and I honestly believe it's they way they where raised. All this dangerous breeds stuff is buckshot as well Its just that some breeds are more attractive to dick head owners.
I completely agree, looks like he had diareah, what did he think would happen locking him up for an extended period
Yesterday i had to euthanize one of my Bettas, but not the one I thought.
Billy the Betta was at the short end of a Betta's lifespan. He was at 2 of their 2-5, but he was panting and hadn't eaten in days. He was already too thin, but i tried all his favorites like blood worms and shelled peas (in case he had a blockage). It was looking bad, even after non-iodized salt treatments, so i chose to end it. Slowly added tea tree oil until he was out, overdosed him on it, and lastly vodka to make sure he was gone. Sad, but necessary.
However, Sammy the Betta was the one i thought was worse off. He had dropsy, the fish death sentence of kidney failure. He wasn't eating and was twice his normal size, swelled up like a pinecone. He looked very bad. I gave him daily epsom salt baths, put some in his tank and gave him antibiotics. It's been a week of treatment, and he's looking better. He eats now and his scales have gone back down. He looks completely fine.
I've heard dropsy is incurable once the scales are raised, so I'm not getting my hopes too high, but the treatment seems to be working. I have no idea why he had dropsy, so i may not have cured it. If his kidneys have failed completely there's no coming back, but maybe i caught it early enough?
What do you guys think?
In general... fish euthanasia meathods, ethics, or general bitching about my choices welcome...
Above is Sammy in his prime. He's a red crown tail with blue shine on his scales which are now coming back since his scales have come down
More Sammy. His blue eyes and scales show well in this pic.
Feel free to post your own Betta pics too I'll do a couple more to start this thread off right
Close up of Sammy
Sammy right now in his hospital tank. His color is just as bright, but it doesn't show well with my phone.
