This is a picture of my snake when I first got her.

She has been having issues shedding (She sheds in parts instead of just one) Does that have to do with humidity?

I got a new bowl, and hide and now the tank is getting very cramped and tight.

I don't know what to do, or if I should sell her. Fuck.

Any advice guys?

>Does that have to do with humidity?
usually yes

just buy a bigger tank, so the snake has more space

if you are not able to care for it, why did you get it in the first place?

Are there any people here who know much about wasps? I live in a crappy duplex style apartment, and last year a hive of red wasps appeared in a section of my roof between the actual roof and a tin roof that had been added onto it later, settling into the crease there. That hive was destroyed later when it was sprayed with poison and broken apart by my roommate, but I enjoyed watching the wasps grow and build their hive. This year the crease was filled again with a hive of yellow jacket wasps, which thankfully survived for a good while, though it seems that the hive is now abandoned. My question is, will more wasps build there next year, if the completed yellow jacket nest still occupies that spot, or would it need to be removed again for a hive to return to that spot. Would the yellow jackets return to it later if left alone?

If any site I've looked at was right then wasps should not rebuild where a visible hive is. in my experience its a filthy fucking lie like natural bs like cucumbers deter them. They walk right over them. Fuck wasps and their complete infestation of this place.

Just like bees like normal fucking people. I'd rub them over my dick instead of wasps if given the choice. If these hippie websites are right then I'm sure if you completely removed a hive, then others will rebuild in that spot at some point. Fuck you for wanting it but also you're welcome.
>>
>>2219782
Thanks then! I didn't expect that many websites would offer info on this subject, so I'm surprised you found any. Bees are nice, yeah, but they stopped being around my parts years ago. If I had land I'd love to have some hives, but that's out of the question.

I think the insane number of yellow jackets we at here drove away a lot of bugs, including bees and bumblebees. I had a queen bald faced hornet looking around my place. Everything got replaced by yellow jackets. I've noticed the more yellow jackets, the less honey bees, bumble bees, any sort of insect is around. Trust me I've looked into nuclear warfare to keep them lower but everything has been hippy shit. They are predators. I'm almost certain it's them that make all the other insects rare. On top of i legit need to cover my drinks with something. I left a drink open for less than five minutes and I'm glad felt the need to look in it before taking a sip because there was five yellow jackets in it. I can't do shit outside without them. Luckily I can try to wave them away without feeling out like a little girl since they infested so bad.

I want them anyway from me. I'm not allergic, but i live where I work. My coworkers are always in the hospital due to a sting, customers always complain which is bad for business. Natural shit or not it's a war here. If you like them fine. In all my years I've never had such a problem with yellow jackets than I have this year.. if anything encourage honey and bumble bees. Not these annoying shots that get everywhere and eat everything, even 'good' bugs. The butterflies, moths, beetles, have been next to nothing and our bees for flowers have gotten visually wrecked by the over abundance of yellow jackets.

I don't think they are bad but chase out all the other bugs then yes.

Only if no one can prove it aside from just one person seeing it. Without visible injuries then as long as they have food and shelter(as shit as it is, like a roof, bowl of water and a 3 foot rope) you're good.

Which is weird since if one kid says some shit CPS is all over you.
Always get multiple witnesses and rip out a phone that can record shit. Otherwise no one will do shit. Sometimes they still won't do shit so you have to rely on the internet to make a fuss. I'm glad Canada has to deal with this shit too.

How do companies make dwarfing rootstocks for fruit trees?

I understand the concept of a dwarfing rootstock--but how do they make them?
8 posts and 2 images submitted.

they either go with a double graft or a genetically compatible rootstock that's cultivated to limit the amount of nutrients the graft receives.

Recently got a new kitten to my home, and so far things seems to have been going good. The kitten is still in hiding, and doesn't really want to come out for treats or toys, but I've mostly given him space.

I already have an adult cat in my home, and he's been very curious at what is hidden in normally his bedroom. Lots of guides recommend letting the cats see each other, etc, though the kitten hasn't even started coming out of hiding yet. Should I keep them separated, or let the adult cat find him? I'm not sure if that will make things worse, or perhaps lets him know another cat is here.

Anyone got experience with introducing shy kittens? My last cat was very active and playful from hour 1, so I'm not really sure what to do. Here are some pictures of the little one.

Been trying to euthanise my rat with the vinegar and bicarb method, shes been breathing heavy and groggy for 15 minutes it said it would only take 5 to put her to sleep, the little plastic carry box she is in is sealed tight and pretty much only fits her, this is really fucking with my head because there shouldnt be any oxygen in the container for her to even stay awake on and yet she is just sat there with her eyes kinda closed just breathing heavy wtf is going on, have i found the first rat with super powers?

You have a leak somewhere. Double bag method works best. So, rat and whatever box it's in in one bag; taped with small opening to second bag where you introduce vinegar/soda combo and then seal.

Although after all this it would be more humane to severe spinal cord directly.

Does /an/ know of any good sized scratching posts that aren't flimsy as shit? I want a vertical scratching post for my cat that he can fully stretch out on and that has a base heavy/ wide enough it doesn't tip over or wobble.

He used to have one like this when he was a baby, and it worked great while he was, but he outgrew it quickly and I can't find one sized properly for an adult. He's got those cardboard scratchers which he uses a lot too but he's always preferred pic related.

Make your own? It's just a post on a base wrapped in rope. Shouldn't be too much trouble, and you can make it the right size for him.
>>
>>2219609

This, honestly. Just take a 4x4 and wrap it in twine. You'll save a ton.

Actually all I did was take a piece of maple tree stump with the bark still on and set it in the corner. Cat loves that thing.
>>
Yeah, make your own. Neither of my cats even liked theirs but instead preferred an old highschool backpack I have. They won't touch anything other than that. Not sure of the material but that's what they have gone for.

Could someone identify this? I think it's some kind of Mushroom

Alright OP two things:

1) Learn how to speak English properly

2) Your doggo will be absolutely fine. THC Is only fat soluble meaning that In order for it to get you high (consumed orally) it needs to be heated in some sort of fat first, that's why people make weed butter instead of just eating it right then and there. Your dog could have eaten an entire pound of the most powerful weed on earth and the effects would be almost nonexistent without it having some sort of fat to bind to.
>>
>>2219439

not true. kangaroos eat our bush buds and we have found them incapacitated / stuck in a tree trying and failing to escape before.

>THC Is only fat soluble meaning that In order for it to get you high (consumed orally) it needs to be heated in some sort of fat first
That is not true. Just because its fat soluble doesn't mean it won't cross the epithelial lining in the digestive tract. The process may be less efficient, but it doesn't mean it won't occur.

Hurt more than it hurt to lose a human
>>
The one that hurt the most was family dog when i was 11. Irresponsible father took dog for walk near busy street with no leash. This dog was in no way well trained enough to be trusted off leash ever. But dad was a fool. Dog ran in to street and was hit, killed. I cried for days.

More recently i had a, to all outward appearances, completely healthy leopard gecko start behaving strangely and then died within a week. I still don't know the reason. I suspect congenital issue, perhaps organ failure. Care and housing was good. I have many years experience with reptile care. Impaction was not possible. He was not vitamin or calcium deficient. Anyway. That one hurt pretty bad too.

>mfw vet sent me an alert text for his annual health check ;_;

My dog passed away 7 months ago as he had bone cancer and sometimes I still cry. Is this normal?
