Do you also think the only reason anyone would eat bananas is because of this guy?
Hey /an/
Was wondering if anyone tell the gender of this cat? It's been coming into our garden for months. It's very friendly, don't know whether this makes any difference.
Thaaaanks!

Feminine face shape, thin neck, I'm willing to bet $10 it's a girl.
Sup, /an/ can you give me the low down on wiener dogs?
Had a skittish ass wiener dog come inside my house when I let my dogs inside. Given that I could count the ribs on this low rider, I am assuming it has been out and about for a while, however, I can see that it is going to be a beautiful specimen of the breed when it fattens up.
I gave the doggo a washo and treated it for fleas after it ate its fill and let it back outside figuring it would find its way home, only for it to hide by the door and run back inside when my dogs went back out to use the bathroom again.
It seems to be pretty shy around humans in general, but not an aggro doggo towards anything. So I let it crash in the house. Fucker slept for about 10 hours.
Anywho, I don't want the owners to have it back because it was more flea than dog, terribly under-nourished, and scared of humans. So either I will keep it or my brother-in-law who is looking for a dog will keep it.
That said, anything I need to know about these little bastards in particular?
>>2220674
>I don't want the owners to have it back
I should specify I don't know who owned the the thing as I have never seen it around the neighborhood before, but as soon as I post anything about finding a pure bred wiener, I can guarantee about 50 people will claim it is theirs to try and breed it.
No chip, no collar, no identifiers, and the same all over ginger color that the breed is known for.
How old do you reckon it is?
Be careful of its back while handling it since they're very prone to back injuries, especially if its legs are very short.
>>2220678
It is an extreme low rider so I have to take care if I want to pick it up for sure.
As for its age? I don't know. It appears to be an adult, but how old it is I have no idea. I can't tell by its mannerisms how old it is either because it was half-starved so even if it was playful and happy go lucky or something it sure as shit isn't that way right now.
If I had to guess, probably between 1-4 years of age.

This guy appeared near my uni. Do i feed him something? Do i leave him be? I was planning on giving him some meat, do they eat that?
fuck sorry wrong pic

Does it look like he can fly? If he can't fly call a nearby shelter or vet. Leave him alone otherwise.
Do they think anything?

Ey guys, i need to know what breed is she. My gf says she is a breed. I say she's a mix. I want to know it. Thanks.
your girlfriend is a whore
Probably GSD/Golden Retriever mix.
Colouring makes it look like it could be a Leonberger, but size says otherwise, and there's nothing else I can think of with that colouration and conformation.
>>2220381
It appears to be a Dog brand dog.
Hey guys, I need some help. My 2 months old corn snake doesn't want to eat frozen pinkies. It just stares at them for a while and then it goes away. What can I do? Should I get live pinkies for it?
It hasn't eaten since I got it (1 week and 4 days). Since they eat once a week it should be hungry!
>>2220340
No one likes cold food, give him those bastards alive to make it feel like a real snek
>>2220343
So live food is always better?
Has the snake eaten frozen pinkies until now?
The thing is that "wild" snakes are not into dead food. You should use some tongs and wiggle the frozen pinkie in front of it, and see its reaction, if it prepares for attacking, keep going, but if it goes away and seems afraid, wiggle it only a little and further away.
Also keep in mind that snakes have the ability to sense the thermal infrared radiation. I suppose you already do that, but the frozen pinkie needs to stay in a bag in warm water for like 2 hours before you can feed it to the snake. No boiling water and NO Microwave, as the meat gets cooked and may cause illness to the snake.
what is this
>>2220333
Looks like a bug
>>2220330
Nigger that's a termite.
I am sort of at wits end with one of my dogs.
He is a hound mix. Basset/staffie. The hound comes across strong in his temperament. As soon as we get outdoors, he is aloof, independent, refuses to listen, and is obsessed with scent trails: classic scent hound. To make things worse, he reacts very aggressively towards any vehicle with a loud engine noise.
Is there ever a point where you just need to accept that this is who your dog is? I've tried everything but prong collars and e-stim collars. I've tried a choke chain and popped it when he didn't listen or reacted. He would just come home with a cough. I've tried tons of positive techniques. This never works because he is so aloof I cannot reward him in time short shoving a treat down his throat.
At what point do I just accept this is how he is going to be? Do I keep trying to train him? At what point do I call it a futile effort?
>>2220319
Shoulda got a cat.
>>2220322
I have cats, and I have another dog, and she is awesomely behaved and an absolute joy to train.
Also if anyone has any suggeations, I will listen to them.
Should i buy a female for my untamed cockatiel or should i first tame him?
So far i have him for 3 months at least and takes treats from both my fingers and the palm of my hand. He is just hand shy.
>>2220256
It will be a lot harder to tame him when you get another bird. It's not a bad idea, and you'd just have to get used to the idea of them liking each other more than you.
have you tried luring him on your hand with a treat? so hold out one hand for him to step on, and have a treat in your other hand just out of reach behind the first hand. to get the treat he would have to step up your hand.
>>2220888
I tried it but when he realizes that he needs to step on my finger to get the treat he runs away.
What's the appeal of tiny white dogs? Like, sub-terrier sized ones.
I mean, I don't dislike them (it'd be kinda shitty to hate them just for their genetic roulette spin) but... they're so popular!? It kind of creeps me out.
>tell me, earth man, what is this property your species calls 'kawaii'
They are cute.
>>2220251
i hate them desu they look like old people, their hair stains easy and they're always yappy as fuck
The quiet "uninteresting" guy from work now owns a rare $1000 african snake (cape house snake). How does this change how you feel about him now?
sounds like a fag
>Thinking
"$1000? Jesus. What a fucking weirdo spending that much money on a decoration. He must really like them and not be a huge edgelord if he's willing to spend that much money. How could anyone do that? Christ, what a weirdo. Note to self: never accept invitation to hang out after work from this guy."
>Says
"Cool, man."
>>2220176
No one cares faggot.
Got a new cat. I realized I have no idea how to trim his nails by myself, in the past there's always been another person in the house to assist.
Maybe in the future after he's more accustomed to me we I could work with him, but right now he's 5 points of sharp whenever I try and grab him. I really wish the shelter had clipped them before they let me bring him home. He's clawing stuff but I know it's hardly his fault because his nails are fucking talons, and I can't even have him on my lap either.
I want to get close to him, but that's not gonna happen unless his nails get trimmed. and I can't trim the nails unless I'm close to him.
help?
Get him a designated scratching post/thing and you won't have to worry about it, hopefully. My cat's got one and I've never had to go anywhere near his claws desu
>>2220170
I like the markings on his face, they're really cute!
you can wrap him in a towel and force him, or grooming parlors and vets will trim them.
I train my kitties by playing with their paws until they're comfortable with it. give treats during and after. it takes a little time this way though.
>>2220172
I got one of those cardboard ones, but he doesn't give a fuck about it.
>>2220173
yeah, I'd like to get him comfortable with it, but since I just got him I don't think we have that level of trust yet. I made a vet's appointment anyway just to get him checked up and stuff, so I'll ask if they can do it then.
My bird has been only resting in this position (pic related, the one on the left) all day today. He doesn't have any eggs and is about 3 years old. We regularly feed him vegetables and only give seeds by hand, we also regularly boil him eggs to eat.Right now we're going to give him some calcium.
We will take him to the vet in any case, but I would like to see what you think and give me suggestions on how to improve their lifestyle.
>>2220080
I know you said "he" doesn't have any eggs, have you gotten him sexed? If not he may be a she, and she may be egg bound.
Definitely offer calcium. That's the number one reason birds become egg bound. And obviously take him/her to a vet ASAP
has he shit? what's it look like?
>>2220627
This. If he/she isn't shitting or is constipated that's another sign of egg binding.
