also, divorce laws are screwy, but in some places, not being married leaves you out in the cold when it comes to legal rights regarding your partner - their health care, inheritance, stuff like that. if you're gonna stay with someone without getting hitched, you really need to go that extra mile and officially put them in your will, care directive/living will, etc. and even then, wills can be contested and so on. so I guess it's a matter of which gamble you're more willing to take.

Glasses for close vision make distant vision blurry, and glasses for distant vision make close vision blurry. They average out your sight, moving the point of focus.

My husband is very nearsighted, without using glasses he focuses about four inches in front of his face. Glasses moves that focus point to an average place so he can see far, but isn't quite as good at seeing near.

OP, first you need to calm down. Breathe, long breaths. Five beat inhale, hold for two beats, seven beat exhale. You need to slow down and calm down. It makes sense that things are really weird right now because something your brain takes as normal, your vision, has suddenly changed. But you could very easily be causing the vomiting through anxiety and panic. First, you need to calm down.

Then, reassess your glasses. Remember that it's normal that things that you used to be able to focus on really close are going to be harder to focus on. This is normal, and what normal vision is like. What is the closest point that you can focus on with the glasses? Average eyesight should have that point be around 6 inches away from your face. if you can't focus on that point, your prescription may be too strong and you should talk to the optometrist. If you still have nausea after calming down, also talk to the optometrist.
