What is so great about art school? What can you learn there that can't be learned at a community college? Sure, you get a degree-- which is very important for certain careers, but not for art, unless you wanted to teach it. You don't have to be interesting to make friends. All you have to do to make friends is just talk to a few people, and find a few people who you 'click' with. Hardly anyone actually has really close friends.

I am socializing more and more, and know I can make friends easily, but the problem is that I am pretty selective about who I hang out with.

If you wanto to hang out with people who are higher value than you, you must have something that is of value to them.

If you just want friends, just go start talking to people and keep doing this until you find someone who you get along with.

As to what you can study, I would REALLY recommend the program "Social Confidence Secrets" and his "Social Life Makeover" by Eduard Ezeanu. I personally am still doing his program, and have found it incredibly useful and it is one of the first programs that I have bought that I was motivated to do anything with. It is paid subscription, but I believe it is very worth it.

Have you actually made any changes in your life since you heard that piece of advice or have you just been waiting around for something to happen?

I know what you mean anon. But the sad truth is girls send mixed signals all the time. The best bet is to stop if she says an explicit no.
Some girls just don't want to seem like a dirty girl so they say shit like "I'm shy" or "I don't feel like it" or "let's slow down" in both cases I say okay and stop for a while and when I think she might have "changed her mind" try again.
Its hard to get a feel for the soft noes vs the real no. Again it's something you have to get a feel for.

drinking soda makes a huge difference, cut that out fast. replace it with water EVERY time and you're going to feel like you're thirst isn't quenched without soda but thats in your head. also to fix the sleep schedule start by going to bed at your normal time and wake up 2-3 hours earlier than you normally would, that will cause you to just be tired earlier and slowly over time you'll correct the schedule

I don't actually need the job, the pay's awful, I've got a few months worth of savings to live off of, and I'm confident I could be earning a bigger paycheck within three weeks. But the thing is, I genuinely enjoy my job. I'd do it for free in a heartbeat if I didn't have bills to pay. I enjoy my duties, I enjoy my coworkers, I enjoy the facility, and I even enjoy bitching about the job when things don't go my way.

So now I'm stuck in this situation where I have my dream job, but I'm underpaid and undervalued and forced to kiss my abusive boss's ass or roll the dice and hope my next job isn't this bad (or, god forbid, as awful as any of the other places I've worked). Should I cut and run? Should I give in and let her shit all over me? Should I continue to do my job to the best of my ability and let her fire me if that offends her so much?

Just cut ties before it gets to toxic man.
try to leave on friendly terms with everyone, and look for new employment at a competitor or something.

Better to leave than have your boss ruin your enjoyment for the job.
