Will there ever be a walkthrough for the SNES/SFC version? I wanted to play this on my SFC but I can only find PS1 shit on gamefaqs even in the SNES version board. I heard there are differences between the games that's why I'm asking.
>>3465446
there are no differences at all between the patched SNES version and PSX version.
http://www.geocities.jp/gamecentergx/to/
>>3465480
Yes there is. There's no shitty load screen in the snes version.
It was far ahead of its time
>>3465270
It waan't actually ahead of its time when cybermage came out a year before
>>3465270
I was not that far ahead. This game here had that integrated elaborate story, aaaand mouselook, and actual 3d!
Build was out. This didn't even bump the resolution up even a bit. And I don't mean 640x400, but not even half or one third that.
It tried to fit an RPG-shaped peg into a Doom engine-shaped hole.

I'm not sure if I like Doom
>>3465134
better play it for twenty-three more years to make sure
I remember something about project 64 becoming open source, was it? People here in /vr/ made better builds that could play rogue squadron and some other shit that was previously not possible to emulate on N64 emulators (or emulate well at that.)
What do I need to know about Project 64 to get the best experience possible?
Most of you are shit and probably won't help me anyways.
use glide64, dont donate to project64 makers because they are pushing their ransomware atm, and thats basically it, enjoy
>>3465068
ransomware? when the fuck did that shit happen?
What kind of ransom does the program do? Does it cripple your saves until you pay?
>>3465074
when you launch pj64 you have to wait somewhere between 10 and 15 seconds until the donation window dissapears and only then you can use the emulator. its not gamebreaking or anything, but annoying. there is another n64 emulator that is on the rise and has better compatibility if i recall correctly, but it is harder to use, so im still sticking with pj64 right now
Man i really miss the "demo scene" of older consoles. C64 and ps1 was pretty amazing with the demos and all.
New demos just can not compete.
And for some reason i remember a demo disc for ps1 games that was trying to sell a black dev ps1
For a moment I thought you were talking about scene demos (the warez scene).
Modern games don't have demos because everyone would see how shitty they really are.
I miss demos too. They just seem to have died a death outside of niche games and the obligatory demo of FIFA etc.
I can't remember where I read it, but apparently games with demos have lower sales numbers than games without, and that's why it's not done anymore.
Just beat the first King's Field (JP), pretty good game. Not sure what the deal with those sealed doors were, though. Will move onto KF2 next. Anything I should expect for the sequel?
Shadow Tower welcome as well.
>>3464898
You beat the game without any sealed door treasures? Impressive.
>>3464919
Thanks, also, I came across this... would anyone mind uploading it if you actually have it?

The original dark souls
what is the best star trek game
>>3464895
Elite Force 1. It's Star Trek Quake.
Just one though. 'Realism' bullshit ruins the sequel. (Reloading phaser rifles my arse)
>>3464941
>Reloading phaser rifles
Wow, that's stupid.
>>3464895
So much of my life gladly wasted on this game.
Just finished Mankind Divided and it's got me craving more cyberpunk. Looking for some suggestions on any titles on the n64. SNES is acceptable as well.
>>3464770

>>3464794
Not to disparage the games the N64 does have, but this.
Sorry OP but that's probably literally the only one.
Perfect Dark? Anyways, this guy >>3464794 gets it
The comparisons to Castlevania are obvious, and we all know about King's Field.
But what are some non-metroidvania and non-king's field retro games that have similar level design to the best Souls games?
What do you mean with "similar level design"?
Castlevania Bloodlines. Contra. Shadow Tower. Tomb Raider. Deathtrap Dungeon. The first Turok game. Gunstar Heroes Expert mode. Umihara Kawase. King Arthur's World. Immortal. Comix Zone.

Metal Gear Solid
What do y'all think about Namcot's Japan-only Mega Drive puzzle game Megapanel?
I find it quite fun and unique. Plus it has a SEXY waifu.

never played it, but it looks good I'll check it out
this looks perfect for me. a simple puzzle game with sexy anime girls. Thanks op
>>3464392
I like playboy bunny anime girls
They're basically the same but Faces of Evil is longer. Decide for yourself if that's good or bad. Zelda's Adventure actually plays like a 2D Zelda game.
>>3464096
Whichever is worth more on ebay.
I'd love to play Zelda's Adventure just because of how weird it looks. Setting up the emulator is probably more time than it's worth though.
Anyone notice how rough-around-the-edges this game is? I still love the game, it's just kind of weird for a Mario game to be so unpolished. Big example of this is how mushrooms can take away higher abilities.
Oh and how there's no Mushroom -> Flower/Rabbit hierarchy thing, what's in the box is in the box no matter what.
>>3463910
>Anyone notice how rough-around-the-edges this game is?
Yes.
Now that that's out of the way, can we talk about how devilishly handsome Wario is?
>>3463954
Wario, plz.
Is this the best portable emulation right now? Want to get something soon and I hear this is better than the JXD
>>3463887
no, it's broken
