Can't blame them. Crazy hops are a cool feature and all, but the city just wasn't as fun as 1's. 2 does have the better minigames, though.

Axel is well-rounded, BD Joe has the highest top speed, Gena has the best acceleration but harsher deceleration, and Gus is the slowest and hardest to stop but can plow through a few cars on impact.

I personally prefer Gena because I like to boost a lot, but Gus is great for forcing your way through shit.
