Anyone know of any other arcade games that were platformers? Pic related is The New Zealand Story.
you're saying that like there wasn't a shit ton of those like the fuckin' ghosts and goblins
Toki is my personal favorite though

In what appears to be a blood stain.
Woah man that's edgy for such a cute looking game.
>>3459103
Magician Lord is good fun but has some unfair difficulty in later stages (if you're new to the game). VS Super Mario Bros is also an overlooked game because people think it's the NES game.
I've never really tried any of the Monkey Island games and I'm wondering if anyone here had any experience with the remakes? If so, which version of Monkey Island is the most definitive one? Should I start from the first and then its sequels? Will it sate my hunger for puzzles?
Just go download DOSBox and the original game.
>>3458997
Are the remakes that bad?
>>3458993
Play the remaster in classic mode, classic graphics with voice acting.
Remember when hunting games were good
No, I'd rather play fishing games.
>try to find a good modern comfy hunting game that is realistic but fun
>nothing but Call of Duty: Animal Cruelty editions for ecks-bawks and playstation
Trophy Hunter is still the best hunting game ever made.
I used to play the shit out of deer hunter. There was even a knock off one called deer avenger I believe where the roles were reversed.
Does anybody here know a place for getting a reasonably priced Sega Saturn (and periphals) for PAL regions?
Why would you want a PAL Saturn in the first place? All the good games are Japan exclusive.
>>3458839
I don't think getting JP games is a problem with PseudoSaturn.
>reasonably priced saturn
yah good luck with that
So is it documented in any way how simultaneous inputs can fuck up games using the directional pad on a Game Boy Advance or SP?
I've been playing Link's Awakening DX lately and I found today that if I press towards the centre of the D pad and walk backwards, perhaps it's that the forward input isn't ending but he looks like he starts to moonwalk and with a few of these inputs and walking around, Link's shield seems to be out even if it isn't equipped, and then things just get weirder and he can get glitchy, his sword becomes corrupted, he disappears, etc and if I'm holding a pot, there's even a chance that the player character is deleted entirely and I have to restart the game in order to move.
This is just the most bizarre shit and it must be because my hardware is putting in inputs that aren't ordinarily possible, right?
Actually, hold on. I'm just going to film it on my phone and and webm it.
Okay, that took a bit longer than I wanted but it's done, thanks for your patience.lol
>resolution
mother fucker

Just turn your monitor sideways so you can see the whole thing.
Neat glitch. Figure out how to exploit it to shortcut fetch obstacles and you'll have something.
How do I justify my master system ownership?
What games can I get? Games that aren't already on genesis by the way.
I only have YS 1 and Phantasy Star 1, not sure what else to get.
>>3458656
Get an Everdive or whatever exists.
It's pretty much a Phantasy Star machine.
>>3458704
But if I were to get that, which roms would I get? I want to know which games are good.
I hear Sonic is different from the genesis versions at least.
Why can't millennials handle Final Fantasy IV??
I dunno, OP. It's the most straightforward and braindead FF out there, after all.
This is a thing? The game is practically a VN even by Final Fantasy standards.
t. 21
>muh linearity
>muh no customization
that about covers it
i'm searching for an arcade game I played when I was younger, but i don't remember the name and i can't find it in any database.
It was a colorful platformer in a fantasy land. Coop was possible, characters had ranged weapons (guns or spells, don't remember) and the first boss was a kirby-like tree who could shape the ground.
Also had some sort of Rancor-like boss
It was released before 1998 and on the same machine as Mobile Suit Gundam EX.
Thanks.
Fantasy Zone?
>>3458559
Nope,
Characters were humanoids, and had better graphisms
>>3458554
3 Wonders.
Easily the best rpg of all time
>no boring cutscenes
>Many pokemon to choose from
>>3458552
lol
>>3458552
It's one of the better portable ones, but it's too basic to ever compete with bigger games
>many pokemon to choose from
This, almost every other rpg has like no pokemon at all, it's ridiculous.
Is there anyone who prefers Metroid II to Super Metroid?
Note, I'm talking about the original, not the fanmade "remake".
Not a chance. There's not a thing that I consider better in that game
>>3458494
I prefer it for its atmosphere.
I do. The platforming elements of Super were tedious. I prefer the more linear, combat oriented Metroid titles in general.
Found this skinny joystick at a thrift shop. It's clearly modern, as it says flashback on the back. What the hell it for?
It was for an old 5200 2 player flashback. The whole unit looked like a mini 5200 similar to the mini nes
You just said it, it's for the Flashback. The one that looked like a mini 7800, I think.
>>3458505
Looks like you're right. I never knew there were so many flashbacks
Not sure if this is the right board but does anyone wanna play online Gunstar Heroes co op with me on PS3?
Obviously can't find anyone.
Add me anon. Sirsuit is my psn
>>3458995
Will do later when I play it and send a request when you're online thanks.
I don't like the mine level it is too hard and very boring
>>3458269
Nutshack
Snow Halation
i remember a hack of street fighter 2 that only changed the winquotes to have the word dick in them.
also they changed dhalsim to dhalslim.
the early days of emulation were a weird time.
Anyone here know what this is from? I found it on a dungeon keeper site from wayback however the environment doesn't show up anywhere in dungeon keeper.
Is this alpha or beta material?
I believe will answer your questions.

No, That doesn't.
>>3458337
Looking at http://www.thanatosrealms.com/dk/pictures
it seems that image was a CGI scene, seeing as he lumped it with the other CGI, and it looks nothing like the game.
If you know how to access manually all the cutscenes or something, you might find it.
You idiots memed filters hard enough for someone to combine a real analog b&w TV, a real camera, and a single board computer connected to the internet.
