Why can't Nintendo make a console this attractive?
if we're judging consoles based on their looks I think the dreamcast is the cutest by far. I mean, I'd fuck it.
>>3477060
The dreamcast doesn't muffin top, anon
I know you're being sarcastic, but the model 1 Mega Drive is the nicest looking console of all time. Model 1 Genesis is also nice, but not as subtle.
Followed by the SFC and NES.
Does /vr/ know any fun ASCII games?
Bonus points for RPGs.
ZZT
The Japanese ports of Wizardry were done by ASCII.
They also had an early ero RPG named Chaos Angels.
And obviously the RPG Maker series.
>>3476794
Brogue is a glorified slot machine and not retro.
A Knight with a gun?
Isn't that cheating?
Perhaps you're wondering why one would shoot a man before cutting him down with a claymore.
>>3476761
Does he even know how to hold a gun?

> HE DIDNT JOUST SO GOOD
Is the first Crash game the best? Just played through 3 and have started 1. The level design seems way more thoughtful in the first game and also all the power ups in the third game just made it cumbersome. Which crash game do you think is best?
Crash 2 is the best imo, fewer minigame levels than 3 and better controls than 1. All three are solid platformers though.
1 seems to be the most challenging due to its saving system
I like the first three equally along with crash bash tbqh
crash 1 is the patricians choice
>has a tip top tier loli
>she also happens to be best girl, unsurprisingly
>she leaves the party halfway through the game
>she never comes back in a playable role
>she fucking grows up
>MC ignores her and ends up with worst girl like the faggot he is
Remind me, why do people say Grandia is a good game?
>>3476185
It might surprise you to know that not everyone who plays JRPGs is a raging pedophile.
I really wanted to like Grandia because it had a sweet battle system, but I hate characters leaving for long periods of time.
Also every character just started sucking Justin's cock and it was super grating.
I hope Grandia 2 is less annoying in those regards, because that battle system is tippy-top.
The magic sytem in Grandia was also awful.
>If you just use Combo attacks then most battles are won in seconds.
>If you instead cast thoselevel 1 and level 2 spells the battles take ages.
>Yet you need to cast those spells several hundred times to increase your base stats and learn the actual good spells.
favourite laser disc games thread, personally dragonslair ate all my quaters
where is don bluth now?
interested to hear recommendations for other games
Time Gal
>>3476184
Dragon's Lair was great. Had it memorized at one point.
My favorite FMV game was Double Switch for the Sega CD.
>>3476184
>where is don bluth now?
He got crowdfunding on Indie Go Go to make a Dragon's Lair full length animated movie, so it's probably safe to not get your hopes up.

Your opinion on Nanatsu Kaze no Shima Monogatari
It's a Saturn game that I'd play if it was in English.
Just watch it on Youtube.

Why is Mickey Mania on the SNES so messed up?
Genesis does what Nintendon't .

So I was having a day of reminiscence with my brothers at our family reunion after 10 years of avoiding these.
>brother brings up when I used to sneak into the living room in the middle of the night to hook up the genesis to dad's expensive sound system and listen to the music in streets of rage 2 and a few other games
>also brings up that the first time I did this the speakers were left at the maximum volume I woke the whole neighborhood up because I didn't know how to turn down the volume
>our other brother just mimics the Stage 1 music loudly
what are some things only you did with your video games?
>>3476012
Plugged my Game Master carts into my Commodore 64's cartridge slot and fried it.
I miss Pacland. :(
Telephone was in the same room as the PC. When someone called and asked for my parents or brother I left them to wait with some Sonic&Knuckles Collection midi I had choosen previously, while I went to tell my parents they had a call.
>>3476012
I stuck my cock throw the centre of my Crash Bandicoot 3 disk when I was 8 years old.
Imagine the fear of getting your dick caught in your zipper, but instead you're stuck inside a compact disc that's choking you and you can't get out of, and that hurts every time you pull on it.
My mom had to help me with dish soap to get it off as my dad laughed and called me a faggot.
My parents made me go see a counselor and they wouldn't let me play video games anymore for a long time.
Holy crap, Devil's Crush is the best freaking video pinball game I have ever played. How come noone told me about this sooner?
The ball control is great. The graphics are great. The sounds is great. The music is great. The board rules are great.
There are these really cool minigames where you can rack up bonus points. Very fun, and it's really taking full advantage of the virtual pinball format. You couldn't have 6 unique ball control minigames like this on a real table. Same for all the kooky fun little monsters you gotta kill to get points.
Why did it have to be released only for turbografx16? What a shame to have such a great game banished to such an obscure platform.
So far 13 million is the highest score I've gotten, and I'm not even that great.
I haven't played Alien Crush yet, but I've heard its also good.
If you haven't played this game, I HIGHLY recommend checking it out.
So anyone else here like Devil's Crush? Got any tips?
There's also an oni-themed sequel on the Super Famicom.
There is all types of ports and different names used for this game so it has likely been mentioned many times under one of the other names like "dragons revenge" or dragons fury
>>3475778
>Why did it have to be released only for turbografx16?
But it wasn't...
Also there was a third game in the series on the Super Famicom called Jaki Crush.
You gonna get the next SEGA 3D Classics Collection in December, /vr/?
It's got Turbo OutRun~
>>3475689

>>3475689

Why do this and another world have such cheap deaths?
>>3475503
>cheap
How many old adventure games have you played, anon? I mean really old ones. Like even text ones. Or even better, how about old D&D modules with lots of nasty traps.
It's all the same thing. You're not expected to survive everything the first time, and dying is part of experimenting, getting feedback, and taking mental notes for next time. "Oh, I guess I can't go that way." Obviously it's not popular at all these days, and I do find Another World kind of annoying especially with the original checkpoints, but it's not hard to understand. It's just a different style and I kind of like it when a game pulls no punches with the danger to your character.
A better question is, why did players become so opposed to multiple deaths while figuring something out? It's anti-immersive, is my best guess, but that can be argued both ways.
>>3475503
Because it's literally a movie disguised as a game. You either play it like the creators intended or you die.
>>3475503
because you suck.
