>unbeatable without a guide, they said
>kill yourself, they said
Playing for the first time ever. I just beat Dungeon 6, and I just found 7. I already know where 8 and 9 are as well. I never used a guide. Was it all a meme after all these years?
Who ever said that?

You are a gifted person anon. The sky is the limit.

Anon I am atrocious at videogames and I was surprised that people said it was as hard as it was. It was so much fun though and I died about 75 times.
So I finally got around to hacking my wii to play my emus and am loving it, but I wonder about getting bricked.
So far everything works great, but I went the lazy route and didn't install bootmii or make a NAND backup at all.
If everything is up and working well now, should it be fine? Or should I install to IOS and try to make a backup? I wasn't lucky enough to have the boot2 partition, so does it really matter?
Loving the ease of just booting up my wii and playing wireless NES/SNES/N64 games through composite though
>>3573578
If you're just playing emulators then you will not brick your wii.
It's seriously difficult to fuck it up. Just stick with the homebrew channel and you'll be totally fine.
>>3573578
Nothing to worry about with what you're doing.
Sup /vr/
For some reason I've been jonesing to play N64 the past few days, but my old one from my childhood is at my parents house in another state.
Decided to get an emulator instead.
Tell me what to play
What N64 game is going to enthrall me for hours while I sip alcohol
>emulator
Avoid. Just go to your parent's house, play something else in the meantime. 4th and 3rd gen systems emulate fairly well.
Also, I recommend Pilotwings 64. Try to get all the gold medals and perfect 100 pts score on every mission.
currently playing Conker's Bad Fur Day
>>3573476
>muh copyright laws
if you get an adaptor to hook an N64 controller up to USB and play it on a PC it's the same goddamn thing
>n...no it's not muh original hardware
fuck off
>it's another lego level
>OP is playing a shitty game based off a shitty cartoon.
>>3573423
>shitty cartoon
>>3573421
>this is a game for children
In case you're wondering...totally worth it
>>3573356
But muh physical collection
>>3573356
lol, is the label starting to peel already? May as well waited because these will be bargain bin in a year or two. You should have bought a copy of X3 for that money. At least you would have a return in a couple years and something valuable.
>LCD, sd "emulation", Autism angle....
op confirmed faggot
To me this was always a classic adventure game.
Tons of witty dialogue (you can literally investigate every object and get a paragraph of funny, well written descriptions from the narrator). Solid, quality animation and music, killer hand drawn backgrounds.
I never see it mentioned in the same breath as any other Dynamix/Sierra/Lucasarts stuff from the era, what happened?
Was it the dogshit Sega CD port? I remember renting it and it having minute plus load times, a year later I saw the definitive PC CD version on the shelf and that's when I actually hammered down and beat it. There were some pretty obtuse examples of adventure game logic thoughday 2 baby sitter event

Crappy mechanics and messy story progression. Although I've only played it once 15 years ago
>>3573228
To me it never seemed fun to do household chores in real life, let alone a game.
>>3573228
>and they all make this face.
Post retro game maps
>>3572982
What is this map? It looks like it would normally come from an Harvest Moon game. It looks expansive.
>>3573141
Nah man a Harvest Moon game would be like 4 segments of that map at most.
>>3573141
Pokemon Blue.
I'm one of the very few people who's favorite game is Daggerfall. I'm just checking whether I'm alone with this or not.
>>3572981
I like Daggerfall
>>3572981
I imagine quite a few people have daggerfall as a favorite game. It was very well received when released, minus the bugs.
I love Daggerfall....I'm hype for the Unity build !
What was the best rail shooter, and why was it House of the Dead 2?
Lethal enforcers is still the best
Source; I have a lethal enforcers cabinet in my basement

Virtua Cop 2 says suck my dick, bitch.
HOW CAN ANYONE DO THIS
These motherfuckers are way too fast and accurate than they should be.
>>3572930
They're also easy to stun and exploit
>>>waiting for epic Nesfag post
Who are you to say how accurate and fast they should be? Are you the CULT POLICE
Which snes game has the best story?
>>3572861
SMB
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!
>>3572861
JoJo's Bizzare Adventure RPG obviously.
Or do I have to use a DC-X disc first?
Also, where is the best place to get burnable disc images for Dreamcast?
>>3572348
yeah probably
back when i did dc piracy, i had a lot of jap games burned to disks and never had to switch anything
>>3572348
Yes, they're region free.
DC-X is only used for official games, which are always region-locked.
What are the games you used to like as a kid, but found boring or simply bad when you grew up? Picrelated for me.
>>3572097
This and Xmen on the Genesis.
>>3572097
I hope you're not talking about the third one, it's still very good.
I'd go for GTA SA. No troll. I spent hundreds of hours on it when it was released in PS2, I tried it a few weeks ago, wow... and I'm not a hypefag, I still loe Vice City and consider it as the best game I ever played.
Anon, I need a concept NOW.
Let's cash in on E.T.!
let's re release the same football game every year and just update the player roster
I thought we were about innovation...
Can anyone recommend some quality western-developed NES games? All the best games for NES seem to be from Japanese devs, what are some good games made by Americans or Europeans?
>>3571857
There were a ton, though a lot of them were ports of arcade and computer games. Just off the top of my head I can think of Tetris, Gauntlet, Battletoads, Deja Vu, Uninvited, Wizardry, Prince of Persia...
Rare had some good ones. Ocean published some good ones, too, but mostly just ports of arcade games.
>>3571956
This, some western devs did good jobs at porting arcade games to the NES.
Joe & Mac was published by Data East but actually developed by Elite Systems.
The results are actually quite good. It's not arcade-perfect obviously but it's got some of the best parallax scrolling I've seen on the NES, just take a look at the first level
