You are Jack the Debtor. You and Flitter have been doing work in the Warehouse, helping to rebuild and to catalogue the remaining items. That damn box stayed here, because of fucking course it did, but it's been useful in disposing of things that the denizens of the Warehouse have decided, honestly, don't need to be here. Or exist.
The Keepers still hate you, but you can't exactly blame them for that. Flitter's been supportive, at least, even after the talk the two of you had. You broke the poor girl's heart, and you still feel like shit about it.
>>48356962
Flitter tugs your ear. "Jack," she murmurs. "Something's wrong."
You back away from the door you were about to open, in the Inner Ring. "What?" you ask, pulling the drawstrings of the Six Demon Bag free.
"There's souls, but they're, they're weird. Flickery, hazy. Like they were made badly, or made wrong. I can see 'em through the walls, in a mass..."
Badly made souls? That sounds like -
The Thirdborn. The Librarian's geargrinders.
"Where?" you demand.
"Coming in from the Cornucopia and ascending the Roost," Flitter answers quickly.
"They're going after the Atheneum and the rest of the artifacts here. Gods /damn/ it!"
> Go to the Roost; they won't know how to fight these things
> Sound the alarm. The Warehouse must be warned
So when is flitter going to find that size growth potion?
And now I must go be Gainfully Employed. See ya'll at midnight or so; votes remain open.
Questions, comments, discussion, feedback, and criticisms remain welcome and appreciated.

DAYS after he declared that any longer fighting and the exhaustion would kill him, Samson and his crew are still fighting against Xouide's advance, only pushed a short ways south of the pass. He owes his life and everyone else's to his insistent protection of Hal in particular, and everyone's had some bright idea to keep Xouide from killing them once or another time, but...
As Samson and friends begin to hope desperately for a miracle, two figures appear before them, much to his surprise and delight, though he wonders if this is just a dying delusion.
Elsewhere, the battle to determine the fate of the continent, and possibly the world, has thinned down to the result of a single duel. Rene, pain of her recent wounds only slightly lessened by her single vulnerary, stares Dyrus down as he grips his Hero Axe. To the side of the fight, the only conscious observers, Hautclere and Ludwig, only watch, both unable to fight, respectively due to her severe hand injuries and having had his weapon tossed out a window.
"I... Really don't want to fight you, Rene," Dyrus says, "but... I can't just let you do this!"
"I've come to peace with my ill will towards you, Dyrus," the elder sister says, "but I swore that I would kill anyone who stands in my way this time. If you won't give up and face justice, then I'll need to act as judge and executioner." Notching an arrow, she adds, "though... I owe you the truth, at least, before you die. Laurise... Our sister. I was just as involved in her death as the man who actually killed her."
"Dyrus... don't hold back," the siblings' mother chokes out, ineffectually holding back her tears, "for... For everyone's sake, even Rene's... Especially Rene's..."
"M-mother..."
"I'm ordering you to win this fight, whatever it takes!" The queen of Neir calls out, standing as her currently-useless hands shake in anguish.

Howdy!
My friends kicked me out of my game because they told me I was too emotionally fucked up to be around weekly. They were right cause I crashed hard for a week after they told me. I just recently stopped being so depressed that I don't leave my room or eat and am now just regular depressed so I'm good now
I was just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this and if so what changes did you make to yourself and how did you go about them?
Been there, done that, seen a shrink, got better.
>>48416841
Any advice?

I had a player who we had to ban from sugary drinks once, he made a descent effort to behave but was clearly not naturally restrained.
It took some work but we managed to get by. An awareness of the problem on your behalf is a must, as is a willingness on behalf of the group to help you realise when you need to calm down.
Assuming you're like him of course.

Thoughts on "grey morals", /tg/?
>>48414522
Depends on the setting.
Perfectly reasonable in 40k or Lovecraft. Less so in Greyhawk.
>Thoughts on "grey morals"
An excelent, valid, and logical way to do good, but a terrible, foolish way to BE good.
There's no such thing as "doing evil to do good."
There's good, and there's evil. And if you think you can justify evil with good intentions, or that you need to do evil to do good, then you're not doing good at all.
You've just given up.
Wasn't there a 1d1000 class triangle around? This one is 1d100, but I'm sure I've seen bigger.

The ground rumbles and shakes causing the frigate and its crew to tense in worry that they'd been discovered. A gargoyle sailing high on a the thermals from the steam-covered valley spots a mountain in the distance spraying glowing lava into the air with a small eruption. Relaxing the Reconstructed return to their tasks of repairing the damage of the hull and piecing together the components of the first Digger construct.
Your prisoners sat in what was little more than an empty weapons locker trying to pick at where their domination spikes were lodged. The one that was badly injured was faring poorly, his breath shallow and skin soaked with sweat, his wounds smelling of infection.
The door flexes open and the captives tense readying to charge but they fall back with shouts of alarm at the sight of you standing before them. Filling the entirety of the doorway voidflame licks at your armor and from the eyesockets of your helm. Pointing a finger at the injured human one of the others steps in front of them defensively and you have to laugh at his bravery and foolishness. A flick of your wrist and he slams bodily against the wall and is lifted, choking by the telekinetic grip around his throat feet kicking at the air. The others begin shouting in fear and recoiling as the man in the coma is lifted by unseen hands and drifts out of the room where the Think Tanks waits, a NID orbiting it.
Before the door flexes shut you release the man, "Cooperation is your key to survival. I shall return," you say as the Domination Spike lets them understand you. They stare in shock as they are left in darkness once more.

You are the Voidknight Disciple, a nameless hero of the New Necrotic Armada, far flung from your comrades.
Previously you attempted to hide from search parties sent to investigate the derailing and theft of a train shipment but the strange necrotic technology of the natives detected the frigate. Forced to defend yourself you managed to capture the crew of a downed gunship before fleeing from the rest of the patrol.
Destroying your pursuers you took refuge in the highly volcanic area of the dark continent and hid yourselves within a cavern system created by a river of boiling water. There you discovered a vein of metallic ore waiting to be harvested and took samples of the primitive life living in the tunnels and volcanic springs.

Getting a 404 from this.
It's mentioned that Exorcists don't do battle cries, but rather have strange, ethereal chants during battle.
What would these sound like?

>Players with low attention-spans
Would a distraction-free environment fix this?
>>48414979
If you're lucky, sure. I wouldn't count on it though
It doesn't happen often, but when my group gets hopelessly sidetracked, I just have them roll initiative and throw some combat at them. The threat of death to their characters or NPC's they like gets them to really focus in.
>>48414979
I wonder what the big dog is thinking.
>fighter has to justify doing shit beyond "I hit it with my sword" under the guise of "realism"
>needs a special feat to allow momentum from one attack to carry through to another enemy (cleave)
>needs a special feat to move then attack (spring attack)
>needs a special feat to hit things with his fist (improved unarmed strike)
>wizard shoots fireballs and teleports
D&D is a piece of shit.
>>48413531
ok.
>OP is upset again
Just kill yourself already.
OP, have you ever heard of a "warblade"? Or if that's still not within your tastes, have you ever heard of "fourth edition"? Or is the only D&D you know circa 2003?
Have you ever even PLAYED D&D, or do you only mope about it on 4chan? Because nigga, 2003 was a long, long time ago.
What's the edgiest character you've ever played or seen played?
This guy once went into a bar where he was being hailed as a hero for the party's previous adventures, then proceeded to start a fire in the bathroom and burn the whole place down. He even barred the door as he left so no one could escape as they burned alive.
He was apparently just feeling loony at the time.
>>48413118
I went for comedically edgy in a oneshot once.
His name was japanese for "wrist razors", his fighting style involved hurting himself, he wore a fedora, and spoke almost entirely in shitty one-liners.
Saxius the Soulreaper
When is a love potion ethical?
Technically never, but I would let it slide in a scenario like that.
When both parties have discussed the matter and agreed to it, knowing the consequences.
So, political marriages, mostly.
When one's had too many Hate Potions slipped into their drink.

Hi GM
Where there any coloreds in the group? Where you playing with people you don't know well? If the answer is yes to either you fucked up, no to both time to find some new friends.

IDK any of them in real life but have played quite a bit with one of them.
None of them are black as far as I know

Your friend is right, you should stay off 4Chan.

Welcome to the thread for d20 station, a rules light Space Station 13 server.
>What is Space Station 13?
It's a 2D top down atmospherics simulator with who dun it gameplay layered on top. Each crew member aboard the station has a specific job to perform, while a select few are selected to be traitors (assassin/spy/thief).
>How do I play?
You'll need to download the BYOND client. There's games other than SS13, but enter those at your own risk.
BYOND Download link: http://www.byond.com/download/
You'll also want a BYOND account, which gives you a ckey so you can save preferences and be recognized by the game. It's highly recommended to make an account if you're experiencing connection issues or don't want to be a fat tourist/starving space bum.
To connect: Open BYOND, click the gear in the upper right. Click "Open Location" and paste in the IP below.
byond://76.16.8.127:28014 OR byond://d20station.ddns.net:28014
>How do I play
Use OOC (backspace say" in the bottom, type OOC and hit enter) and ask someone for help on how to play. People will almost always help you get a grip of the game if you're polite about it, just don't reveal too much in-round information in OOC. There's also wikis dedicated to documenting the spaceman way of life, but they vary widely from server to server.
>What are the rules?
The rules are very relaxed and admins try to take a hands-off approach to administrating. Admins will generally only intervene if someone is explicitly playing to ruin the game or being a dick. Reminder to read the rules in-game.
>What map/code do you run?
We run a heavily modified Ministation map with mostly custom code. Most jobs on Ministation are merged with similar counterparts and head roles have been re-enabled.
>D20 wiki where?
