For a month or so now I have been running in circles trying to tape together a kind of eastern post-apocalyptic science-fantasy setting loosely inspired by Hyper Light Drifter, Necropolis, Furi and piles of concept art but I keep burning out.
So I ask of you, /tg/ - How would you go about making a setting in the technological ruins of ancient society? What kind of adventures could you run in it? Do you have any anecdotes or interesting lore tidbits?
Cool art and worldbuilding methods are also very welcome.

I vaguely remember playing a little MtG when the first sets were originally released in my high school days, but I don't remember the rules anymore. I thought about picking up some modern cards and trying to get back into the game, but I'm not sure if the hobby is still alive or if it's on a gradual decline. From what I've read, people are getting tired of rarity and balance issues with modern sets and inventing new formats (like pauper?) that might exclude more overpowered cards just so they can keep the game from being a moneysink. Do these kinds of formats keep the game fresh, or is MtG a lost cause at this point? I don't want to hop aboard a sinking ship.

Does any RPG have comparative stats for various special operators, such as the SAS, Spetznaz, GNG, Green Berets, DEVGRU, etc.?
This is especially aimed at any wargamers that might have comparative unit stats. I don't know wargaming at all.

I was feeling bored so I came up with a few concepts for space marine chapters, most of them are shit. This is a place for people to bounce Ideas off of eachother and maybe actually make something interesting.
So first one from me:
A chaos space marine chapter that despite living in the warp and being physically corrupted, act as if nothing happened, no angst, just inhuman apathy to the fact that Brother Xyxalgoth just grew an extra head. Completely out of touch with reality but frustrate the chaos gods with how calm they are about it.

Now for an even more horrible Idea, An attempt to make "female" space marines in the way that breaks canon the Least.
Chapter Homeworld has a matriarchal society, Space Marines are always seen in armour and the locals generally refer to them as females. Space Marines initially just didnt care because they are post-human warriors and stuff. Eventually the chapter started to embrace the myths surrounding them, while biologically not different from other space marines, they take feminine names and some members of the chapter add breastplates to armor as decoration. (even though they have no breasts)

You just pay the mana cost. If I cast an Inferno Titan by tapping 6 Mountains, the mana cost is not RRRRRR, it's 4RR. Ice Cave lets you counter by paying the mana cost (the thing in the top right), not "what the other person paid"
For X spells, you just need to match the amount for X, and match the colored costs of the spell. A Fireball for X=6 cast entirely off of Mountains will get shut down by the black/red player tapping 6 Swamps and a Mountain just fine, because they're paying the mana cost of 6R.
