The game I'm running uses a heavily modified version of the /tg/ d100 system no one uses anymore, so I can't say too much about the systems /tg/ currently provides.

Had my first idea being that Bodak are actually extra dimensional beings that exist in their own personal hell "the hall of mirrors" to keep them constantly stunned and you know... NOT invoking their bodak gaze.

An 8HD creature is fucking nothing though to you. Even if like three of them bodak gaze you there is literally no chance of you not making that Fortitude save unless you're one of those 1 means an auto-failure. And even than that's only a 5% shot and there's ways to re-roll.

Saitama isn't "the way it should be". He's a parody of power-up animes where the main character manages to BS a superpower to beat someone and gets beaten within an inch of their lives each episode just to cheaply asspull a new ability or secret power to save the day. Saitama just gets his unlimited power from a childhood desire and a moderate exercise routine and doesn't have ANY power up or asspulls to save the day AND is not a hotheaded or emotional teenager seeking fame and power.

It's a kind of curse. Your life-force is being sapped through your dreams while you sleep. Take a tincture for a dreamless sleep, or seek out the bestower of the curse and get them to remove it.

If you have this dream for long enough, you'll find you start to have trouble breathing. Your fingers will start to rot from the tips. Your heart will slow. You'll find it harder to smile or frown, and even the emotions behind the expressions won't come to you as easily. Eventually you'll die, and that still won't be the end of it.

There's talk of other curses like this, featuring other undead - far worse ones. You won't find them in any book people admit to knowing.

You misunderstand how they lost it all.

It didn't all just disappear overnight; It was squandered, stolen, defaced, buried, cannibalized, corrupted...

And that's not even getting into the traps, curses and defenses placed on the material itself: There are still techpriests who go on expeditions throughout Mars, and never return, often dying with the secrets of the golden age quite literally at hand.

They did save the priorities; which is why we still have civilization, but it's the little miracles that slipped out of our hands. It would be assumed things like conversion weapons would be lost rather easily, but tt would be centuries before someone realized that there were no complete STCs for hover-vehicles left in the known imperium.

Imagine the collapse of the Soviet Union and the burning of Alexandria magnified across a million stars.

There've been a number of RE: quests here (though they're all more or less dead or dormant right now), and they were fairly popular.

Yeah, in all seriousness it's more interesting as a concept than an actual story. Tensei Shitara seems to almost go the same route, but the character may be slightly more fallible.
