I've met with several groups, all of them have been garbage except for one. Out of 7 groups I have joined, only one was worth anything and I have been lucky, the GM is attentive, amiable and friendly and welcoming.

The majority are not like this, but they do exist.

Mosr people play with friends, if that's not feasible they look for groups in other groups and interests they're part of. If both fail they try random gamefinder threads here and on roll20.

Keep that fact in mind. Roll20 is 3rd or 4th resort at BEST for most folks, so you're not getting the pick of the litter

Melisende was seeing off the Roman Prince, Manuel. The sight of the man made you bristle, you were no friend to the Greek nobility, and the sight of you brought an amused smile to the chest nut coloured man's face. He passed you with a chuckle, whether directed at you, something from the Queen, or at some private joke you couldn't say.

The Queen herself was dressed in blue cloth, her magnificent honey blonde hair tied back in twin braided plaits that hung over her shoulder, a silver belt about her waist. She hardly looked a mother of two, scarcely past thirty and slim. When she saw you she smiled.

"hugo," she called you by name, you doubted many other bastard-born could say the same, "Did you want something?" she held her hand towards the open flap of her tent, "Come inside, we can talk."

You could hardly refuse her, queen that she was, nor would you since she had so clearly read your mood. You went within the tent, the light cut out, the wide interior oddly gloomy. A hawk sat upon a stand, hooded and jessed, by a writing table. She had a real bed set up, framed and mattresses'd, and many chests no doubt filled with adornments. A pitcher of wine sat on her desk, with cups used. A shared drink with Prince Manuel, she now poured you a cup, her back to you as she fussed with the cups.

"Sit," she flapped a hand at a seat, and it was still warm from its previous occupant once you sat.

"Thanks, thank you, for seeing me," you said, leaning forward in you seat, hands clasped before you.

"I could hardly refuse my son's favourite playmate," she said, turning back to you with a smile that stole men's wits. She brought you a silver horn of wine, then took her own seat. "How can I help you?" she said, reclining back, finger tapping the arm of her chair. She did not drink.

The Harlequins part of the death masque set sort of reinvigorated my interesting in painting and playing again, is there a way to make solo harlequins work?

Of the systems I play, I think you could manage it in Stars Without Number if you cut out the psychics and higher-tech stuff, limiting to say, tech level 2 and 1.

Twelve years ago, the Nine-Tails attacked Konohagakure destroying much of the village and taking many lives. The leader of the village, the Fourth Hokage Minato along with the aid of the Third Hokage Sarutobi where involved in a struggle against the beast and after many hours of battle protecting the village they where both killed alongside Jiraiya of the Saanin a brother to Orochimaru and Lord Danzo. Lord Orochimaru had heard of this battle and in order to protect the home he was wrongly banished from he formed an army of ninja from his own village, the village hidden by sound and charged to their aid. Despite his best efforts by the time he arrived it was too late to save the clan leaders but with his power and the power of his army he had defeated the 9 tails and protected the village, sadly the Jinjuriiki Kushina Uzumaki died in childbirth due to the strain of the 9 tails escape fom it's seal. Shortly after in a time where the hidden leaf village was in turmoil with no leader, Lord Orochimaru stepped in with his army and created an alliance between the two villages, one the leaf was happy to carry out. Lord Orochimaru later became the Hokage as he was deemed powerful and wise enough to keep the village safe.

The Kage stands before you in the academy eyeing up your generation with his red eyes. You've heard many rumours about how he acquired those but the story is they where given to him by a dying uchiha shinobi, sasuke gets visibly agitated at the sight of Orochimaru, an expression most of the Uchiha clan give him whenever he is in sight.

"Now this is where the fun begins" He hisses
"You are all officially shinobi of the Leaf, your clans secrets and blood fill you with potential. It is mine now. It will now be used as a part of the Sound-Leaf alliance, thank you for the contribution."

He begins to pace the walkway along your desks.
"Im here to relay who your teachers and teams will be from here on out, but as some of you may be able to tell we have an 1 individual too many for usual scheme so we are changing a few things. Sakura Haruno you are going to be a part of a team under Kakashi Hatake with two of my sound genin. Take good care of them" His eyes shrink and his smile widens

Sakura looks distraught, the sound genin are known to be ruthless.

Isn't the price of mtg cards largely so high because the rosenberg buy all the cards and lock them in a vault to artificially inflate them?

Current game takes place in fantasy SE Asia or so, so all the players have gotten water buffalo as mounts and pack animals. If they go into the desert they'll probably need to steal some camels too.
