How would you make a fire mage feel original, something more interesting than your archetypic fireballs dunkmachine?
>curse an entire town so every source of light goes out.
>time to rob shit.
>cloak themselves in fire as a defensive measure.
>turn enemy weapons red-hot, causing them to bend and foul themselves as they strike your fighter friend's shield.
>Stone to Magma is almost the same as Stone to Mud, right?
Make lots of fire puns

I think after a while, the PC might just burn out.
>Halo tabletop?
Yes that's an actual honest to the Didact thing, we have halo ground command which is 1:100 made by spartan games
>Spartan games? Those guy can never commit to anything...
Luckily 343 has a three year release plan for Halo: Ground Command, which should have the Pelicans and the Phantoms released by the end of the month, more infantry by itself in 6-8 weeks, The Scorpion, more Warthogs and the Wraith coming in the in between, and the scarab by the middle of next year (and for the scarab they are shooting for 350 - 450 USD price range), plus scenery to pad things out.
Things like jackals, ultra and snipers are already modeled and waiting for various stage of approval (the ultra and the snipers are basically done, and where supposed to come out in the box but 343 decided to shuffle them to provide a simpler mechanic on the starter set and for Canon issues)
With things like different variations of elites, hunters and grunts coming down the pipeline to allow for the creation of themed armies.
>OK, but what sets ground command apart from other tabletops?
We can talk about the included painting guide, or the fact that scenarios will be released for free online, or that you will be able to buy your own units without having to worry about bundles, or the included scenery, but the bread and butter of it would be the reaction system.
The reaction system allow for players to react with a single unit, to another player's action during that player's turn based on a roll of a 2d6 and the reaction value of the unit in question.

So have you gotten ground command yet? Are you liking it?
>>48792628
>Luckily 343 has a three year release plan for Halo: Ground Command
Plans don't mean jack when it comes to spartan. I'll believe it when I see it.
>>48792779
At the very least there are 7 models that are good to go tho:
the gauss hog and the rocket hog (the weapons are interchangeable), the Scorpion, the wraith, elites ultra, unsc snipers, the pelican, and the Phantom, plus 2 sceneries pieces, so that has to count for something.
>>48792903
>spartan will be fine this time, guys.
all the evidence says spartan cannot keep with a system for more than six months before releasing an entirely new game and forgetting about the previous ones.
>do not trust spartan games
>do not trust spartan games
>do not trust spartan games
>Ex-Druids
>A druid who ceases to revere nature, changes to a prohibited alignment, or teaches the Druidic language to a nondruid loses all spells and druid abilities (including her animal companion, but not including weapon, armor, and shield proficiencies).
>She cannot thereafter gain levels as a druid until she atones (see the atonement spell description).
There's so many stories out there where a bad GM contrives some ridiculous moral dilemma in order to make a paladin player fall, but honestly it seems a lot easier to bullshit some rationale for why a druid PC has failed to "revere nature" and needs to attone.
Why do you never hear stories about GMs fucking over the druid's player in some way? They seem to be just as liable a target to passive-agvressive GMs stripping their class powers, but historically that seems to be a treatment only reserved for paladins.
>>48791853
It's not a meme. Everyone complains about "moralfags" but no one gives a shit about ex-hippies.
That sounds as stupid as alignment sign language.
>>48791968
>That sounds as stupid as alignment sign language.
But alignment languages are actually great
To all the players who know the Rosewaterian background of the color pie like what each color symbolizes of the human aspect and so on.
What color/s do you identify with? Also, what is the color you disagree with the most? And why?
Red black blue cuz fuck you.
Black and blue
make the wrld more efficient and get rich doing it
Esper
Blue because I'm indecisive and cautious to a fault, and get pretty lost in thought
White because I feel pretty empathetic towards others and feel the urge to honor my commitments, etc.
Black because I can be self-serving, greedy, cowardly, or just have pent up anger

Jumpers, what jumps are intentionally saving for later, and why?
>>48812109
I deliberately saved Worm for late enough that I could make Scion eat his hair.
>>48812109
I'm saving Gundam SEED for late in the chain so that I can use a retained fanfic drawback to go to a specific fanfic I love/hate and mess with the OCs.

What are some must-have perks for a Trump chain?
Again... A quick question about keyblade, do they come with resistant to outside power and influence? Like being resistance to elemental damage, or mind control or superpowers?
>>48789284
The Eidolon power from the Worm jump. That is, after all, the best possible Trump power.

So of all the regiments in 40k.
Why haven't we gotten "official" Navy Seals/Korean UDT knock offs yet? We have all this shit about jungle or desert warfare but never anything about actual aquatic naval warfare in 40k.
I know there are some fan regiments for this but I would like to see some reasons.
I guess if GW is lazy they could get some intern and make a new regiment of the scions where they are all about aquatic infiltration
>>48810362
well, there may be underwater installations that need some killing.
'nids may have made some aquatic/amphibious variants, so defenses against those would be nice.
>>48810362
>Navy Seals
We already have an entire Space Marines chapter dedicated to homoeroticism in the military: Dark Angels. A bunch of seafaring IG or whatever would be redundant.
If you could give one tip to a new GM what would it be?
Have fun
People bicker sometimes. Remember that these aren't real arguements, nor are they jokes either; They are fun to amuse for some times, but don't allow them to eat the time for everyone else. Just as well, when people bicker under stress, try to keep their attention; sometimes this sort of bickering will just end in arguments and make the situation worse. Just don't stress out if you loose the reigns for a little bit by players being goofy or being frustrated.
Err in the players' favor whenever possible. If player agency blows holes in your plot then your plot is too rigid. No one is having fun if you're shooting down ideas, let them run with it whenever possible.

Last we left, you had found a dilapidated castle hidden with the forest. The fort has a large courtyard surrounded by outer walls, with a keep, stables and prison/ crypt. Having raised the remains in the crypt your horde grows. After sending them out exploring a group of bandits, that you had previously encountered attacked and all were killed save 1, who has been dragged out of the crypts where he was hiding. You drag a regal looking chair to the centre of the keeps hall, seating yourself upon it. Your skeletons and zombies, including a previous recently deceased friend, are dragging a screaming and teary bandit on his knees in front of you. You undead dog sits beside you and you idly run your fingers through it fur covered head, it pants raspingly as you look down at the man.

LMAO I can't wait for a cleric with maximized turn undead to show up and wreck your shit. This level 12 cleric is going to kill so many undead it'll make the Pulse Nightclub look like a slap on the face.
kill and try to make undead

You fell asleep in your costume again.
It might have mattered, long ago. Long ago you might have been relieved to transform out of it after a hard day's work. You might have been relieved to get back to your normal life, as a normal girl, with normal problems.
After a while you just stopped caring. The costume stays on. You don't even sleep much anymore, only in the times when your body finally decides to shut down. Or at least until you realize that you've gone for so long without rest that you were only shooting up hallucinations. Days aren't that much important, anymore. You keep asking for problems, even the horrible ones. The ones that even that vodka-fellating bitch wouldn't take.
You look like shit, you feel like shit, and for the fourth time this week, you've forgotten what your name was. It's at the tip of your tongue, if your mouth didn't taste like flesh and stale alcohol at the moment.
What do you call yourself? Hopefully not something stupid again. Braids never really got over how you started calling yourself that name again.

Well men, I hate to say it. But it seems the Navy fucked up bad this time. Real bad... So much so, that it seems they mistook our earlier communications with them as signs of trouble, and decided to bomb everything within a one-hundred and fifty mile radius. Turning the desert around us into glass. But hey! It got rid of the nearby Orks! So that's a plus!

FAQ:
>What the fuck is this?
Somewhat a campaign of crack-infused free-form roleplay in the grim darkness of the far future.
>When do you guys make these threads?
Usually mondays at 4PM GMT, but they sometimes extend to Tuesdays if we got caught in the middle of something when the thread died and it was too late to make another one the same day.
>Can I join in?
Sure, just think of a character and have fun, you can find most info in 1d4chan albeit it's ussually a little bit out of date in comparison to where the threads are.
>Is there any requirement in character creation.
Not really, we've had Xeno infiltrators, Chaos infiltrators, Villains, Heroes, Normal Guardsmen, Crazed Guardsmen, Assassins, Psykers, Space Marines, Inquisitors, Squats... just think whathever and join the fun.
>Is it allowed to have more than a single character?
Yes as long as you don't use it to powerplay.
>So how you guys do the playan'?
We tend to use spoilers for OOC chat, but nothing is set in stone.
We tend to use greentexts for describing a character's actions, but again nothing is set in stone.
Use d20s for combat checks and d100s for other things you want to roll, higher Is better.
It's important to know that the regiment is now in the employ of a radical Ordo Xenos Inquisitor, with influence from an Ordo Malleus Inquisitor and under the watch of an Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor. Yes we've been through a lot of shit.
>>48809067
Now, we just have to hope and pray that the Blueberries, and their traitorous allies don't come knocking.
Also, has anybody seen our local Gue'vesa, Sam Hawthorne?
>>48809100
Haven't seen her for a while, sir. Think she's deserted to the enemy ranks?
>is busy tending to a wounded guardsman who's missing a leg.

We'z truly forgotten.
I have orks but this is a blue board
How many kills in honourable combat is sufficient to be noticed by Khorne and turned into a Bloodletter? Or could I just murder a couple psykers and be granted an eternal warrior life serving him?
>>48807151
Literally dependant on how Khorne feels at the time, who you're killing exactly, how much Warp-exposure you're drinking, how infamous/famous amongst Daemons and Chaos in general, and a bunch of other minor things.
That being said, turning into a Bloodletter would be rare as fuck. Most Chaos followers have to go through the whole "race to Daemonhood or else Spawn," thing.
>>48807151
Humans don't get turned into Bloodletters, anon. Bloodletters are created by Khorne splitting off tiny fragments of his power into independent-but-subservient beings. The same goes for all the other forms of Khornate daemons, other than Daemon Princes, who are humans that sold their souls to him in exchange for daemonic power.
If you want to become a Daemon of Khorne, you need to become a Daemon Prince, and that's a lot more difficult than merely killing a couple psykers.
>>48807175
This
People don't get turned into daemons.
They'll pop out of them, they'll get possessed by them
You can still get superpowers from him by sacrificing and killing in his name and shit. But he's got a lot of people doing that so you gotta prove your worth.
