GMing a game Vampire hunter (VTM) mortals game in Houston. Party just shot up some thin bloods and think they're hot shit, at least until they watch the news and realize how dumb they are for using guns in a residential area. The transcript for the news is something like this (I'm terrible at writing, feel free to spice this up or use more proper language). The second story is just a joke story, where they turn the TV off. Feel free to add some more bullshit if you want.
Good evening, I'm Hatzel Vela, thanks for joining us on the Fox 24 News aaaaat 10.
(1st story)
A gruesome shooting in Sunnyside Houston that left 3 teenagers dead has the neighbourhood gripped in fear.
Yesterday evening an SUV was parked outside a home in Sunnyside, the suspects armed with guns entering the house through the back door.
A witness who was in her home at the time of the shooting says she heard gunshots coming from the home and soon after two men and a woman left the house and entered the vehicle only to drive off.
Police arrived shortly thereafter and found a gruesome scene; 3 young african americans gunned down in the basement of the house.
In what police detective David Anderson described as 'a most heinous act of violence' two of the teenagers bodies had been set on fire while the third one sustained a shotgun blast to the head.
According to Anderson, police 'are doing everything to identify and apprehend the suspects'.

And the fire part is unclear. Did the police arrive at the scene to see the still burning corpses, were the bodies merely heavily charred or did they even have reason to suspect the victims were set on fire and then shot?

The bodies were burned by sunlight (they were vampires). The news are controlled largely by the vampires and they are not interested in publishing correct news, just news that will rile up the populace.
But I'm open to suggestions, like I said I'm terrible at writing (non native English speaker too).

Raw yes, it's exponential and add an attack each time the unit is selected to attack, with those attacks only going away with the Slaughterpriest dying.
But everyone I have see playint that just add a single attack.

How do you write believably dialogue for a character that has undergone a significant trauma that you yourself have not experienced?
At the very least, I'd like to avoid being ridiculously offensive if I try writing, for example, someone who was molested as a child, both because it would make for a better story and because I don't want to romanticize the experience on the off-chance someone at the table was molested.
I was thinking of reading a biography of someone who had undergone something of that stripe, what else would be helpful?

I kinda want to get this mentality out that having a single Riptide is "OP". It's not. They're the Tau's TEQ. It's fair if they can have one if you bring some Termies or a Land Raider. If they bring multiple and in the Wing, then yes that is pretty cheesy.
Also Kroot are shit. They're just expendable meatshields. Having a whole army oriented around them would be incredibly boring. If Tau auxiliaries had the same love that Genestealers then that would be fine.
A "fun" army to play against is something that tries to bring all the neat units into the battle in a combined arms fashion. Not just spamming any one single unit. A good Tau player would know that some well supported fire warrior unit is a cheaper and arguably better source of anti infantry fire power than the other units.
I'm so tired of hearing non Tau players complain about "muh Battlesuits or muh Riptides" They're there in the codex, they have a purpose, just like the FWs.source then any of the battle suits. Just because you get butthurt at the cheesemongers doesn't mean that the other Tau players have to stop using a particular unit. Quit bitching.

As much as i love warhammer and the general kickass nature of the entities that inhabit the 40k universe (space marines, SOB, Chaos, ect..) I wish there was a larger diversity of 40k art
90% of 40k art is either of some epic battle or [insert your favorite factions here] kicking some serious ass.
Only a small portion of 40k art is meant to invoke feels, But it is these pieces, like pic related, that are my favorite pieces of 40k art, they remind you that even though the universe is filled with epic stories of insane heroism, it is also filled with even more stories of sorrow and pain.

How would a society of Pokemon, a la Mystery Dungeon, even function? You've got different types of Pokemon, some predator, some prey, and all are sentient to some degree. Standardization of stuff like roads would likewise be difficult, since evolved forms are drastically different from pre-evolved. Also, why doesn't any Pokemon in Mystery Dungeon use tools or weapons?
Difficulty:
Novice: Give a good hypothetical example.
Adept: Start building a setting that makes sense.
Master: Build a setting that makes sense and is appropriate for Pokemon's target audience.

Hear ye, hear ye. I hereby call to order this meeting of the most illustrious Mages Guild!
It's that time of year again where I look down on my mountain of paperwork to see that we have too many departments. Every semester it's the same thing: Teachers in a major department argue and splinter off into sub departments when they really should have stayed together; I'm looking at you, Magmamancy. Right now we've got a "Mancy" for just about every niche you can think of and its making the bookkeeping pure hell, I've had enough! Time for mergers! I don't care if none of you get along, i'm putting my foot down. Those of you in broad fields such as the elements, try to sit down with your sub-departments and convince them to rejoin you. Those of you in smaller fields but with similar interests such as say, Ferromancy and Alloymancy, try to collaborate. I do actually want results from this meeting or I'm going to start forcing you all to work together.
One final note, I don't care how you all do it, but if we could finally get an answer to the infamous "is Ectomancy a subset of Necromancy" debate that would be fantastic.Welcome to the Mages' Guild. I have a proposal for an anon who is as interested in gaming history as I am.
One of the things that has always interested me is how Magic the Gathering has evolved as various sets are released. I've been fooling around on Cockatrice, and I'm really enjoying the limited format. I thought I'd try to merge the two - MtG history and limited.
Basically I'm looking for someone to play limited Magic with in chronological order. The schedule I was thinking was this:
>Week one, play four games of Unlimited sealed (or Alpha, or Beta, but Unlimited would save time)
>Week two, play four games of sealed, three boosters of Unlimited, three of Arabian
>Week three, four games of sealed, three boosters of Unlimited, one of Arabian, two of Antiquities
With a reset after every core set.
I'll handle the scheduling, which will probably get complex with the shake ups in releases, but my primary goal is to get a good mix of sets in a sealed deck so that it's 'really like' playing in 93, or 2001, or what have you.
Anyone interested, let me know your Cockatrice name. I'll work on a schedule and get it to you.

Because I'm not a fantastic MtG player, and am more interested in the history aspect. I do love the game, though. Just not the best at creating constructed decks.
