New Amonkhet General - Shitty Gideon Art Edition

Previous thread:
>>51831808

What are you most excited for? For me it's two things. Number one is that Gideon will be more in the spotlight. Love that guy. Number two is that we'll get a new cycle of gods. Can't wait to see them. Nicol Bolas appearing again is also pretty cool but that's more of an Hour of Devastation thing if we can go by booster pack artwork. Also mummies as zombies!

Look at that garbage artwork for Gideon. Do they even know what their own characters are supposed to look like? How old is he in the lore? 30? 60? I can't tell when looking at all his artworks.

What is your favorite and least liked Legion or chapter and why?

>Serrated sons and world eaters. The sons saw the reality of the universe and although sickned they didnt choose obfuscation like Big E. World eaters are human afterall but they only respect strenght and are brotherly.

>Favorite
Iron Warriors. They don't act like retards like the modern day Emperors Children do for instance when their arm turns into a dick, instead amputating chaos growths. Also their reason for turning traitor is more of a thing to do with betrayal, being sent into the thickest fighting but never receiving recognition and then having their planet rebel against them which I suspect was done by Alpha Legion.

>Least favorite
I don't know. Dark Angels for their Primarchs lack of fervent loyalty or motive during the great crusade.
>>
>Salamanders and Crimson Fists
I'm a bit of a sap for more human characters, so Salamanders are a hit for me, and for the Crimson Fists I just love the whole idea of a desperate last stand. Kick-ass paint schemes as well.
>Dark Angels
Their fluff just seems to be trying to be edgy, and it's just kinda off-putting. Mostly, they've just never stood out at all to me. The robes and stuff are cool though.

The handbook of dnd 5e sais that Halflings aren't bothered by insults. It also sais that halflings often think of jokes to be more... entertaining than insulting. This means that Halflings shoudn't mind that much.

Gnomes on the other hand i don't know. They are described as joyfull and somewhat childish, making me think that they won't make a big issue out of it either.
>>
>>51872219
They'd both insist that they're obviously far too tall to be a gnome/halfling.

The obvious first answer is either Mage setting.

I feel like a good rpg could be crafted from Changeling the lost though

Hunter. I have no idea if the Reckoning games are good, but an investigative/action game based on Vigil or Hunters Hunted could be good.

I've always had a soft spot for the old Shadow Elves from Mystara. More weird, less Retarded Evil, and without Ed Greenwood's fetish fuel.
They're basically albino cave elves who long ago fled from a catastrophe that burned the surface world to ash, and survived by hiding deep underground, where they became weird, insular, and xenophobic.
The book's up in the OSR Trove in the TSR Basic stuff.
>>
>>51853339
You posted it senpai.
>>
>>51853339
Certainly not Dunmer. They are too much their own thing than just "dark elves". You can only call them this because of their skin.

So, NASAs big reveal for today wad that they found a star system with 7(!) earth-like planets just 40 ly away. I don't know about you, but this really spikes my imagination. Also Trappist-1 seems also be the system J.J. Abrams locate his movies.

I guess the interests rise when the old mudball becomes too hot for comfort.

But on topic: a far future scifi setting located on Trappist-1 coukd be pretty neat, where party could hop on planet to planet without pesky ftl. Could even be "fantasy" setting.

Whaddup, grog-chugging fa/tg/uys.

It's been some time since I last ran a thread like this. Let's do some Worldbuilding together!

>How does this work?
You make a post with something you'd like to add to the setting. This can be anything you'd like: From sprawling empires to notable people. From sacred trees to common races. Anything goes, as long as it fits. You can post images to inspire or elaborate, post stories about or from the world, and draw parts of it if you're good. Just help along!

>Dos and Don'ts
Don't remove/ignore the posts of others for no reason. Their creations are just as valid as yours.

Do elaborate on the creations of others. If someone posts a kingdom, feel free to elaborate on the cities, areas and peoples within its borders. Talk about its relationships, trade or nobility. Your own creations can be elaborated on too of course.

Don't make lulsorandumb stuff. If there's weird shit, completely fine. Just elaborate and share details. Examples:
>No: Elephants with three dicks that fly lelel kek
>Yes: These mammoth like creatures live on steppes. They have three long probosci also used for reproduction. [Further explanation]

Do help, even if you're not sure of your creations. We'll say no and give constructive criticism if it breaks the rules.

>The theme
Medieval fantasy, focused in a currently undescribed location where it's winter most of the time. Snow often covers the world, and the cold is your greatest enemy. Still, people thrive here.

I'll keep track of everything you type, and add stuff myself too. I'll also do the maps.

Now, go ahead and do what you're good at, /tg/!

The continent of the setting is named Bryss. It is a large continent, shaped like a stretched hand. The southern peninsulae and islands are home to most civilized folk. They have the mildest winters half of the year, and a wet, spring-like season the other half. Agriculture is possible here without the need of magical interference.

These southern lands are fractured in many independent countries, most owned by humans. Other races do maintain a presence, though.

The central plains are more inhospitable. Dense forests and gargantuan planes make it a vast wilderness to survive in. The actual countries ruling here often use magic to sustain their crops, yet mostly nomads and tribes inhabit this area.

The true north is a wasteland of ice, mountains and wild magic. Large beings of snow and ice roam here, preying on what warm meat they can get. Only underground and evil sapients manage to survive here, with some notable exceptions.

I'll start drawing a map soon.

The Shaggy Wyrm is a commonly feared creature across the realms.

Resembling a small, legless Wyvern covered in shaggy fur, these poisonous creatures prefer to hibernate in trees, for this reason logging teams consider a boar spear just as necessary as an axe or saw before attempting to fell trees.

"A wyvern in the tree" is a common expression used to convey a hidden 'catch' in a deal or agreement not beneficial for one party.

The Shaggy Wyrm's hide (with coat attached) is a sought after trade item, as well as the mark of a questing knight whose wealth lies in his arms and accoutrement rather than in coin.

Never contributed to one of these before, how'd I do?

Just got finished priming my Engineer's guild for Guild Ball.

Steamforged makes some wonderfully detailed minis, but they can't do contact points for shit.

I almost lost my god damned mind trying to get a single arm on a mini to stay in fucking place.

It's all done now and I have to paint, problem is the minis are so fucking heavy and the poses so dynamic, they won't stay upright when shoved in sticky tack to use as a base for manipulating the mini when painting.

What do you bro's recommend for keeping a mini to a base (like a pill bottle or something) when painting for manipulation when sticky tack doesn't cut the mustard?

First, set your dice in a large, clear bowl on the couch. Make sure they have plenty of space to move around in.
Second, force them to marathon Jim Carey movies.
Third, shake them around in the bowl, sprinkling salt and holy water while chanting the 20 Prayers of Polyhedrous.

After about 12 hours, your dice will behave. Put them in the freezer over- night and they'll be better in the morning.

i want to dakka all over my blue gf!

Okay /tg/ i had an idea today for a setting and need some help to make this grow into the badass shit /tg/ is known for:

the main idea is that one in every five humans are marked by a mythical monster and that monster works as a guardian and the marked human is a connector for the race of monsters that chose them.
until a large group of unmarked humans rose up in the name of god and said that the marked are conduits of the devil's evil and must be hunted down and defeated and since a great war has taken place with the templars fighting the monsters lead by the first four elder races(Titans,Dragons,Levithans, and Sphinxes) the templars also weaponize captured marked to use them to summon monsters and use them to conquer the world in the name of the true faith
