In my opinion, the main problem is that Golarion is kitchen sink to the max, and that is quite understandable, because the market that Paizo are maining for is not just hardcore DnD players, but also new players - so a kitchen sink setting, with a wide apeal is a good way to catch the attention of potentially new roleplayers.

For me, fixing it is not really something you would be able to do, unless you cut down the number of countries and factions by a huge margin, and that the amount of PC races gets slashed too.

Cheliax and Irrisen, are the only two countries that I like, and all the gods but Gorum (best god), Asmodeus and Lamashtu are trash.

OKay then, reposting for new thread.

I need some suggestions of ships to populate the background of my sessions with.
Im building some basic space backgrounds for the party as they enter systems, land at stations, etc. To that end, I want to populate them with some various ships.

Ive got a good selection of Rebel and Imperial ships of course, but now Im trying to come up with some 'unaffiliated' ship designs to throw about, Im drawing an absolute blank on what to go with.

I feel that we have a very wide variety of good decks, the problem is too many people seem to gravitate towards GBx Midrange decks and URx "Control"™ and as a result the format feels very stale. When was the last time you played against fish? I haven't seen it in over a year, and that makes me sad.

Preordain is probably safe to unban. Without Git Probe, Storm is shit so unbanning it is hardly a controversial action... I think.

SFM would be an easy unban, after all 90% of decks run some kind of artifact hate in the SB

I wanna say Unban Wallet sculptor, because control in modern is a joke, but frankly I wasn't around to play during the cawblade era so I may be underestimating how powerful he is

Twin doesn't really deserve to be on the ban list, the only reason it made up 12% of the meta was because of all the Spikes from reddit who think that playing blue makes their penis bigger, and the lack of good spells to counter it. Now we have all sorts of stuff to make Twin eat dirt, no reason to keep it on the list. If you are really so scared of it, ban Exarch that way all the cards are bolt-able

GURPS I've found isn't great for super science space tech stuff, although I love it for others.
Savage Worlds could also work but you'd have to look into it yourself.

Depends on edition, Classic's Starter Traveller is roughly low-medium crunch, Mongoose is middling, maybe Savage Worlds-ish, and some of the other editions go to super mega crunchy, with T5 being autism on fire.

In most editions, man-to-man shootouts are lethal as hell, though, so if you want to do that kind of movie piracy where there's lots of shooting, then Traveller's not probably not the right system for you.

The seas get unruly once and your town is a bunch of finely mulched driftwood.

Further, with no land they will have no metal, which will limit them to rope rafts and dugout canoes.

1) Cut out equilateral or isosceles paper triangles (I use note cards for the added thickness)
2) Fold them symmetrically in half so that they can stand upright as a bunch of little arrows.
3) Draw in icon, letter, or name on both exposed faces. If available, use different colors for each player to make it easier.
4) Arrange then in turn order such that the first player's marker points to the 2nd, points the the 3rd, etc. Leave the neat little row of markers wgere everyone can see it. Because the folded paper stands somewhat upright, it is easier to see from a distance / low angle than just writing it down on a flat paper.

The short answer is "Better", because using true line of sight is a violently retarded idea and cover saves were always a dumb mechanic.

For a medium answer you only need to look to other editions of 40k or WHFB, where you assigned every piece of terrain a certain height, and every unit within a certain distance to it profited from cover, and cover often making a unit harder to hit by applying a negative modifier to hit rolls.

Isn't covering a core mechanic in infinity? From what I understand infinity maps need to be crowded to cover or else the game will be unpleyable.

I'm more a matter of LoS than cover.
Infinity has weapons that will wreck anyone's day from the other side of the map, so you need alternate pathways unless you want to turn the game into camper vs. camper.
