My car is nearly worth what I make in a year, and though I love it to death, I'm afraid to push its limits or track it.
I once passed up a mint-condition 2001 ZX2 S/R for 1500 dollarydoos because I cared about what other people thought of me (and I didn't like the interior). I feel like if I had bought it, I would be vastly richer AND be having more fun since I could beat the snot out of it and not care. Sadly, I got nowhere to put a 2nd car, so I guess I'll continue enjoying my non-poorfag car.
Anyone else wish they had a crapclunker?

Ive had a second beater car or truck for a few years now. Wouldn't call it a beater cause i keep it in good mechanical shape though. 89 chevy 1500. Just ugly. Its nice to fall back on it incase my DD fucks up.

I have a precious shitbox that I'm pampering but no other shitbox at thbe moment.
Im afraid of wrecking said shitbox because its rare and in good condition and ive poured a ton of money into it.
Im afraid of even driving it in the rain due to more rust forming under but that will change once I pull out my rear end and scrub all the surface rust on it and under the car and spray some rust primer and undercoat under and inside the car.
And get a new tank since this one is rusty af.

Looking at ls 430s
Found the perfect version about 3 hours away.
After doing some vin checks i found it had reported frame damage.
The car has 45 service records from the Lexus dealership including the 90k service with timing belt
Currently has about 135k miles. But last recorded lex service was done in 2012
I'm attaching what I THINK were the frame damage repair info from lexus.
Please offer some advise on wether you think this car is safe or not.

Car had 113k miles at last lexus service 4 years ago. Since it's only got 135k at the moment, i figure not a lot has happened. This version is oerfecy and i want it badly. Just would like some non biased opinions
I read that frame damage os a huge issue.
Title is not salvage and i think lexus repaired it. If that's the case, my assumption is there's no need to worry

I realise this is like comparing Apples to Oranges but I'm torn between these two cars.
The Lotus Elise and the BMW M6/M5 V10.
I'm from the UK and they're both around £12k for a used example.
Which should I get and why?

Lotus Elise, it looks more exotic, simpler engine setup means it's easier to work on. Manual transmission is good.
BMW M6 looks like any old 6 series. Road rules means you probably wont enjoy it much on UK roads. SMG box is known to have issues.
The Lotus Elise is the better choice.
