Literally why

maybe they wanted to get the last evo x model
>had 2008 Lancer GTS
>great condition, bought it for 8000 CAD
>guy I know from basic training buys a 2016 Lancer for 18000 CAD
>literally the EXACT SAME as my old Lancer except it has the weaker 2.0L making 150hp, no foglights, no spoiler, no sound system, no sunroof, uglier fascia
How fucking stupid can you be? I mean, he IS an Armyfag so I don't expect him to be smart. But still, heavy price for a decade-old shitbox.
>car freshly vacuumed and cleaned inside, fresh vacuum drive-marks on the carpets, everything smells fresh
>washed, waxed, polished
>your old shitbox standing in front of you like a brand new car
>buy "new" shitbox
>drives like a wet noodle but you know the potential
>change everything you suspect being responsible for the wet noodle
>suddenly, car drives like a sharp dagger
>/o/
>ever feeling good
>buy 240k lexus
>replace everything that makes it drive like a piece of shit
>give it a paint job
Looks okay and rides good its still a shitbox but for once i own a car wherein there's a point/result of washing it and detailing
Has there ever been an automobile that has gone back to a previous design it use to have? Im not talking about retro bullshit like the mustang and camaro of recent years, but more or less gone in complete reverse and fellback on an older design after a new one failed?
>>16047758
no
>>16047758
No, they're not gonna make the FD ever again, you nostalgic fuck
>>16047758
Challenger is the closest that's done it. Literally went back to the exterior design but with modern improvements.
Are these things really all that unreliable?
>>16047741
Yes.
No.
>>16047741
Maybe
My car is nearly worth what I make in a year, and though I love it to death, I'm afraid to push its limits or track it.
I once passed up a mint-condition 2001 ZX2 S/R for 1500 dollarydoos because I cared about what other people thought of me (and I didn't like the interior). I feel like if I had bought it, I would be vastly richer AND be having more fun since I could beat the snot out of it and not care. Sadly, I got nowhere to put a 2nd car, so I guess I'll continue enjoying my non-poorfag car.
Anyone else wish they had a crapclunker?
>>16047715
Ive had a second beater car or truck for a few years now. Wouldn't call it a beater cause i keep it in good mechanical shape though. 89 chevy 1500. Just ugly. Its nice to fall back on it incase my DD fucks up.
>>16047715
I have a precious shitbox that I'm pampering but no other shitbox at thbe moment.
Im afraid of wrecking said shitbox because its rare and in good condition and ive poured a ton of money into it.
Im afraid of even driving it in the rain due to more rust forming under but that will change once I pull out my rear end and scrub all the surface rust on it and under the car and spray some rust primer and undercoat under and inside the car.
And get a new tank since this one is rusty af.
>>16047850
>rare
What is it mister?
has anyone ever thrown up in your car?
how did you clean it up?
>>16047587
Yes my cat on the fucking driver seat while I went out to buy some curry.
Yelled at it. It sat quietly head turned down. Felt bad later man :(
Okay so how did I clean up. Since the puke was small compared to human sized, I sprayed a whole can of chink deodorant at the puke spot. What else I could do?
>>16047633
Why was your cat in the car?
>>16047633
I've got a hell of a lot of questions regarding this post
>Buying a vert corvette
>Tell me why I shouldn't
>Inb4 ppl look at you, well no shit i have driven a convertible b4

The covertable is looked down on some because it loses the rigidity of the body vs. a hard top.
Other than that i dont know.
Are 125cc sport bikes the most redpilled form of transportation?
what's in there ?
>>16047503
Only if you fancy dying
>>16047510
125cc engine.
What is this /o/ ?
My grand father died and gave me this. He was a mechanic and made it as his masterpiece.

I believe it is for fixing chain like timing chain, bike chain, chainsaw chain etc.
>>16047501
this, i think.
it looks like a tool you use to remove or add links to a motorcycle chain to me.
sorry for ur lost
Looking at ls 430s
Found the perfect version about 3 hours away.
After doing some vin checks i found it had reported frame damage.
The car has 45 service records from the Lexus dealership including the 90k service with timing belt
Currently has about 135k miles. But last recorded lex service was done in 2012
I'm attaching what I THINK were the frame damage repair info from lexus.
Please offer some advise on wether you think this car is safe or not.
Thank you
Car had 113k miles at last lexus service 4 years ago. Since it's only got 135k at the moment, i figure not a lot has happened. This version is oerfecy and i want it badly. Just would like some non biased opinions
I read that frame damage os a huge issue.
Title is not salvage and i think lexus repaired it. If that's the case, my assumption is there's no need to worry

why do people get so mad at tailgaters? we aren't going to crash into you.
give me a legitimate reason to be upset for me driving behind you too close
you're going to crash into me
>>16047281
Because it is not safe you numb nuts
>>16047281
>we aren't going to crash into you.
Yes you fucking are. And I'll put the rear foglights on until you back off. That doesn't work? Whoops, my foot lifted off the gas.
Keep doing it after slowing right down? My suspension's better than yours, so I'll run over shit and kick it up into your car.
>Driver's seat has "normal" wear
That is very normal for a 21 year old car though
Same as normal rust...wich if its a Chevy luv might mean it's totaled
>>16047265
Atleast there aren't brown stains
Let's say you wanted to start a racing team, sponsored by your own company, and do well enough that the company breaks even on it (post-tax), how would you start, or what car would you pick?
>I personally was thinking an RX-7 to start
Picture is unrelated, but it's the first company car I'd by myself if I could
Ford EF Fairmont
>>16047159
R32 no doubt
Rover SD1 of course.
Which cars do you consider to be a "girls" car and what makes a car "girly"?
I often hear people say Lancers are a chicks car but never understood why
>>16047010
Any mustang that is not a V8
Any small city cars like Smart, Mini, Polo, etc
And of course the obligatory MX-5
>what makes a car "girly"?
Just look at it
>>16047211
Get the convertible one and you are he ultimate fag
I realise this is like comparing Apples to Oranges but I'm torn between these two cars.
The Lotus Elise and the BMW M6/M5 V10.
I'm from the UK and they're both around £12k for a used example.
Which should I get and why?
>>16046984
Lotus Elise, it looks more exotic, simpler engine setup means it's easier to work on. Manual transmission is good.
BMW M6 looks like any old 6 series. Road rules means you probably wont enjoy it much on UK roads. SMG box is known to have issues.
The Lotus Elise is the better choice.
The V10 has 500HP
The 1.8 4cyl offers 134HP.
The M6.
Captcha relevant.
>>16046984
I second the Elise
