Hahaha. Ohio here. I paid $38 for each of my 5 vehicle's plates this year.
OTOH I pay over $7800 in property and school district taxes. Kill me.

Get a Chevy for ease of maintenance and plentiful parts. Buy the best condition body you can find.
Fords suck to change plugs on and the 4.2 six is an underpowered hydro-locking grenade. I like my two F150s but hate those engines in a van. Chevy V8s are love. No six bangers, ever from either brand in those years.
Forget Dodge. Lesser salvage and aftermarket support.
Vans are tools to me. I can work on anything. I'd buy the Chevrolet.

I was already leaning towards chevy just cause of past experiences. And youre right about the V8, I dont know why youd have a V6 in those things if people apparently have trouble going uphill in them and shit.

get a delphi ds150e clone. you can get it for £50 over here so I imagine a bit cheaper for you. all you need is a laptop or a tablet to link it to, does literally everything the genuine one does, just remember not to hit the update button as it'll stop working when it tries to install new genuine updates. it will do everything you could possibly need.

I have a question to you /o/.
Who do you think would drive a car like pic related.
I am in the market for a comfy and reliable car just for myself or maybe the occasional girl and something that is a bit on the unique side. I need to daily it in the winter aswell, that's why i even consider buying one of these, but i fear the stigma surrounding those cars could give me buyers remorse (because being called a flaming faggot ain't the nicest things to happen to a mostly straight man).
Also what do i have to check when buying such a car, especially one with the F4R NA engine? I need it to last me atleast the next two years until i finish university.
And if you can't help me out, at least post some Twingos!

You'd be better off with a Saab 9-3 convertible. It's a 2+2, it's well kitted out (leather, PAS, decent audio, many buttons that do many things, electric windows etc). Power roof as well, plus you get a good choice in engines.
Mine's a 2.3 naturally aspirated automatic, it still goes quick enough but is definately a boulevard cruiser, not a sports car. Fair amount of scuttle shake on my MK1 and it's nose heavy, but the 2.3 pulls it easily. It even came with a diesel option. And they look really nice, and have aged well.
The roof doesn't even leak on mine. Happy days.
Also, those meganes are awful, hateful piles of crap. Please avoid.

Cars from the 80s and 90s can easily be stolen, and certain models from those eras (like the Honda CRX) are thief magnets today.
Installing proper security systems in those cars are mostly too impractical or expensive
How effective are these car clubs exactly? Many sources online say that they can be easily defeated and will not deter a determined car thief. They will only discourage an opportunistic thief
But how common are these determined/expert car thieves?
Will using multiple (and different) locking clubs make it more or less impossible to steal a 80s or 90s shitbox?
What's your experience with them?

Hi /o/. I don't come here too often but I've got a problem. My car won't start, and it's not because of the battery being dead or the engine being dead, they're both fine. All the lights on my dashboard work and so do my headlights. Even the radio works fine. When I try to start it I hear some soft clicking noise. What's the problem?
