Hey, guys, this might be the wrong place to post this, but I thought it might be appropriate so here it goes.
I am really really scared of merging onto the highway. I do not have a license and will be required to merge onto I-35 for my driving test, but it's quite daunting to me. Is there some kind of free or cheap driving tutorial software or something where I can virtually practice doing something like this?
grand theft auto 5 has pretty good traffic
But if you speed too much people get scared and crash in to you.
>>16038041
what part are you scared of ?
just check mirror ,blind angle then merge is no car
if car then wait and repeat
just adjust your speed when you want to merge between 2 cars
>>16038056
I'm scared that I'll run out of room on the acceleration ramp or somebody won't let me in and I'll crash into somebody
Never see anyone here discuss Suzuki Swifts.
what do you think of em? Would you own one?
>owning a 4 wheeled suzuki.
no thanks.
I had a Baleno (I think it's called Esteem in some other places).
Had a 1.6l engine producing 105hp but that thing was lightweight and went like stink.
I fucking loved it but the transmission was made of glass and one day mine had a failing transmission (at 180k km) like tons of other Balenos. The 1.8l engine fucks up the transmission even faster.
Swift looks cool but no idea about the quality of that car.
I've got a 2008 swift auto
It never knows when to change gears
Some days I floor it and it'll hit redline and it truly is swift
Some days I floor it and nothing will happen
Same fuel
What a weird car
What's the ~fastest~ comfortable, reliable wagon or crossover pre-2010 for under 10k (preferably 7k or less actually)? Hatchbacks excluded, looking for something built for men not manlets. looking at mercedes e500 (hard to find, repairs super expensive), subaru tribeca (08 plus is much more expensive that 06-07, better engine though), toyota rav4 v6 (terrible interior, meh exterior), CX-7, or the nissan murano.
pic related, tribeca interior.
i enjoy driving my huge truck to tiny wagon cuck homes and fucking their wives
>>16037955
Yeah, wouldn't expect anything less than some good old fashion incest from someone who has to overcompensate that bad
>Rolling coal doesn't change the fact it's only 2 inches
>>16037919
Crossovers are not built for men faggot.
Would you consider carburetion an art? and Electronic fuel injection a science?
would mechanical fuel injection be a black art?
pic related
ive always thought carb engines looked prettier. fuel injection makes them look like they are on life support.
look how clean and nice an engine looks with a carb
I'm a function over form kind of guy. Meaning I care more about how something performs rather than how it looks. I've never owned a carbed vehicle, and I think they're outdated technology.
That being said: I've always really liked the way they looked. Absolutely beautiful mechanisms. The individual throttles are what get me the most.
Found these fuckers laying around just now
lmao i have some old topgear top trumps laying around somewhere, haven't played that shit since middle school.
kinda wanna play now.
>>16037702
Ye I fuckin loved these. Had the Gumball 3000 one.
What are these? Never seen them before.
>rear wheel speed sensor faulty, replace
>cracked exaust manifold, replace
Dealer cost, P+L $792
My cost
$182
Thank god im mechanically inclined
>general "what chu workin on this weekend" thread.
Why the fuck are you lifting the car on the fenders?????
>>16037779
This. Please tell me that for some bizarre reason that's where the lift points are because if not you're gonna fucking kill yourself
>>16037779
Its so i can get the tires off easier, duh. Heres one of me working on a turbo hose
>you are the reason people troll on here so much
Hi /o/
I've bought pic related to learn driving rwd. They are dirt cheap in Europe, reliable and tons of repairs. It is the 2.6, I6 166hp.
How would you mod it?
Right now its stock with a momo wheel and stick shift, I'll put ta technik full suspension and probably slk mkI wheels as they are very light.
This and dirt cheap? Where?
>>16037588
Spain. Living in northern africa has its (few) good points.
I've bought this for 1k€.
It has ABS, ASD (that's sort of a slip diff), air con, central locking, electric mirror... not bad for being from 1987.
>>16037594
I wouldn't consider 1000€ dirt cheap but that's a very good deal for a 2.6 that's not held on the together by rust
Mysummmercar is going to be out on steam this monday.
Are you m/o/ngoloids ready?
>>16037453
>live opposite of flinlnald
>felling trees, logging and making firewood for money
>fixing broken vehicles
>driving across country roads avoiding drunk drivers and police
wow if I only had a beat up project car it'd be literally my early adulthood the game
Too bad it's going to be $14.99.
> $9.99 seems like a more reasonable price
The ideal engine configuration
>>16037443
its rare tho
Please don't post shots like that, I'm at work and I can't stand up for the next half hour now.
>>16037443
agreed

ITT: Pick a manufacturer you think is shit, explain why, then post a car they make that you actually like.
Mercedes makes overpriced unreliable slushbox shit for niggers and Indians, but the C63 AMG sounds and looks pretty fucking shit hot.
Chebby makes garbage vehicles for trailer trash, and the only reason they still exist, along with the rest of GM is because of "muh american manufacturing" but thier 50s era corvettes are my pre 80s car waifus.
>>16037295
Anyone that says Mercedes is overpriced is a literal fucking poorfag whos never sat in a Mercedes
end of story
>>16039391
>700 pounds of useless luxury bullshit constantly slowing you down
i guess you'd be used to that if you're an oil-money sand-nigger who can't row your own gears, hence the purchase of a merc in the first place.
How do Audi keep getting away with ripping off Lambo? Same engine pretty much, same gearbox, almost the same interior.
Audi is one of the biggest manufacturers in the business, it's not like Lambo couldn't know this is happening, do they just not care?
>>16037267
Audi owns Lamborghini you dunce.
1/10 TROLL
Daily reminder that AWD is always superior to RWD in handling provided the manufacturer lightens other components of the car to offset the additional weight of the AWD system.
>haldex
Yeah, no.
Even the Audis that utilize fulltime AWD (not A3 and not TT) are known for being understeering turds.
>>16037219
You've got it the wrong way round you stupid cunt, it's the VW based cars like the TT and A3 that use Shitdex (((AWD))).
lmao this shit is pathetic
that understeer lmaoo

How much would you guess it will cost to lease one of these things? And if you're in know on the matter, how much could I hope for the net cost to be if I'm writing it off as a business expense?
In burger land/dollars
>>16037181
Given Alpha's depreciate faster than a nice meal more than you can afford pal.
>>16037195
If it $75,000 on a 3 year lease it's $1,100 per month. If my business would be willing to write that off for me as a company car then it might cost somewhere around $600-700 if I use some real fuckery? I'd pull the trigger for that ~$25,000 in total and the car would depreciate more than that in 3 years
So both SoCal and NorCal are doing meets this weekend. I refuse to believe that we don't have enough /o/tists here to organize a cruise. Anybody want to pick a date to do Tortilla Flat or Mt. Lemmon with our Tucson bros?
>>16037112
Don't get me wrong, the s/o/cal meets are fun and all, but it would be nice not to have to drive 4 hours out.
>>16037112
520 reporting. I vote Mt. Lemmon, while snowbird/tourist season hasn't come into full swing. Tortilla tends to be crowded with squids on bikes with way more power than they'll ever be able to handle.
>>16037112
bump
Scotty Kilmer approaches you and offers a red button and a blue button (pic related).
Should you choose to press either, which do you press and why?
So the red button is Germany with concentration camps?
>light curb weight manuals aren't allowed
Emissions standards have never forced anyone to adopt turbocharging, it's simply been the easier solution to reach the goal.
Also naturally aspirated diesels are complete fucking garbage.
