BL-C2 is a ball powder that's fairly temperature stable and meters extremely well, is one of the cheaper and more readily available rifle powders due to being "old tech", and produces good accuracy.

I tired using ball powders like varget and 4895 for 54r and hated the way it metered. I'm running a progressive and it always locks up the press and resulted in unreliable powder drops because of the chopping.

I love h335 because it meters and shoots really well, but it's only suitable for lighter loads because it burns too fast.

I'll have to give bl a try.

You don't have a lot of options for a carbine, at least in the US market.
True carbines:
>Zastava's micro mausers, which are pure shit
>CZ 527 Carbine
>Remington model 7 (pre-2003 are okay, post-2003 are a gamble)
Carbine-esque variants of full rifles:

and that's about it.

IMO the CZ 527 is the best option.

A little more expensive than the 527, but Ruger made an m77 in .357 with an 18.5 inch barrel.

I've retired my Hi Power for a P2000. The v1 trigger is great, and it has a better stand-off capability.

OP, the P2ksk is a fair bit thinner than the P30sk in the grip. May be worth a look.

I dont wear glasses but ive always wondered, is it s good idea to wear regular glasses for eye pro at the range? It seems like it wouldnprotect ok but in the case of something pretty bad, wouldnt they shatter?

All I know is that my knight krb7 is a pretty good one.
No goofy methods of getting 209 primers ready to fire, and drop-out-in-seconds trigger/hammer group which gives extremely easy access to the breach plug and barrel for a quick boresnaking.

Shit.....I might have to pick one of those up. I had a RAR in .223 and liked it (sold it before I moved) and I really want another bolt gun because they are fucking fun as shit, but don't want to pay out the ass for ammo (.308 and .30-06)

It's a bolt action, so it will literally eat anything you put through it. At worst you might get a faulty steel casing that splits and gets stuck in the chamber.
