Sup /k/. I got my conformation that I am going to be a paratrooper in the kraut military at the beginning of february. Since I do not want to sit on my fatass until then (I also have a real interest in learning a language) I though about learning an other language. There are alot of courses available in town and especially farsi and arabic peak my interest and have a practical application. French is also available and very useful considering our joint operations with the french troops in Mali but I am not too hot for it.
Tell me your thoughts /k/omrades. Also tell me about the languages you have learned.

bbc and bac is the most important
I speak English and German, both with native fluency. Advice on a third language to learn if I want to:
>go into finance
>go into intelligence
I'm thinking Chinese or Russian? Chinese is almost like a meme to learn though.
>Japanese because I want to fuck Jap bitties

Official /k/ PNW day meet thread #3: SSSSMOKINNNNN edition
Talk to us on Discord:
https://discord.gg/Q6nzbsu
>Who's coordinating the meet:
We have set up numerous 4+8 Chan meets over the last few years. A lot of the people coming are regulars at these PNW meets and are well vetted. This is the first "OPEN" and advertised meet we've scheduled in awhile, but we enjoy as much company as we can get.
>What am I supposed to bring:
This is a day meet, bring with you what you normally would for a fun afternoon with the dudes in comfort. So far we have a 100 square foot canopy, some gongs, tables, targets, etc. But obviously bring anything you think would be useful. Easy ups are a God send. A discover pass is technically required but if you want to chance bumping into a forest service member without one is up to you.
http://discoverpass.wa.gov
>When is this meet happening:
September 16 2017, and yes we are cutting it that close. Main meet up will start at 1PM but don't be afraid to be late, I myself won't be showing up until 5PM. No the date is not negotiable.
>Where is this meet happening:
Olympia pit just outside Olympia Washington. Coordinates are 46.956212,-123.178187
Just plug them into Google maps and it will plot a route strait there. Yes, the roads are 2WD safe.
>Why are we doing this:
Because being autistic is a lot more fun with other people. Meeting other /k/tards is always a good experience and a nice way to make battle buddies in your area.
>How am I supposed to get there, I don't have a car:
I don't know nigga I'm not your mom. We have tried to accommodate poorfags in the past, you can always catch a ride with another person headed the same direction or just expose your power level by loading all your gats into your local bus line and riding all the way there.
-FAQs FROM OLD MEETS-
>Can I being my normie friends?
Yes you absolutely can, the more is always the merrier.
>Can I come if I am a nogunz loser?
Yes you can, people are generally happy to let you shoot as long as you aren't a cunt and pay for the ammo you use.
>Can I gearqueer out or will I look like a faggot?
You will in fact look like a faggot but you won't be alone, I have seen everything from STALKER cosplays to tactical kilts. We're there to be nerds and have fun.
>Should I brin-
BRING WATER
>I can't make it because it's too far
That's not a question but don't you fret, we schedule meets every few months when we can and all over the region. If you want to try to help set one up near you in the future, hit us up on discord and we'll see what we can do.
Ask any questions you have I will answer to the best of my ability, further questions can also be posted to the Discord and will be answered when the thread gets 404'd.

Question for those of you with glocks, specifically the gen4 19. Now for the record, I've never had a ftf or issue with my handgun, but every time I disassemble the handgun for cleaning I always notice the spring for the extractor rod always has a tiny gap in it, like it's not seated all the way. Now after I clean the gun and re-assemble it I always seat the spring all the way on the specific part, but every time without fail when I take it apart it always has a tiny gap and not seated all the way.
I hope some of you know what I'm talking about. This is my first gun and I dunno if this is normal or not. Now like I said, I've never had a problem with the gun, but I don't want this to cause future malfunctions.
Pic related, is the part I'm talking about. In the pic the spring is seated all the way, but like I said when I take He gin apart after firing rounds there's always a tiny gap between the full seated position of he spring
>>35104414
Bump. Hold on anon, let me check...
>>35104414
I didn't see any gap. Mine seems to be fitted on pretty tightly.
>>35104414
Why don't you show us your actual Extractor plunger spring so we know what you are talking about
>>35104346
it looks like a brazilian mp5 made to fire some weird esoteric round that one PD mysteriously had shitloads of for no clear reason
>>35104373
Is it worth buying?

Hello /k/, first time poster, i am currently thinking about buying either a Glock 21 .45 ACP or a Beretta 92FS 9mm. I am currently 18 never owned or shot a gun before but have been visiting my local gun shop once in a while. I have done some research on both guns and i'm leaning toward the beretta because it's cheap. I do plan on taking firearm safety courses and learning about the mechanicals of the gun. I am buying it through a private party and my budget is $500-$700. Any suggestions? I want a gun for practice shooting and personal protection.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
>>35104311
Also anything i should look out for when inspecting the gun? Is there any issues that i should be aware of when looking at it?
Neither. Get a glock 19. You won't regret it. Big enough to learn small enough to carry.
-berettas are heavy and dumb, and double/single action is dumb and old
-45 acp is around .30 a shell, you need to shoot more than that for a first gun
-get a new glock 19 gen 3 and spend the rest on practice and ammo
>>35104311
Berettas are great quality, extremely skft shooters, and it was also my first handhun.
Starting out with a Glock 21 is inadvisable, if you insist on a Glock go with a 19 or 17. 9mm is the most well-rounded handgun caliber, very mild recoil, easy to shoot even +P+ defensive loads out of, good mag capacities. .45 ACP out of a relatively light handgun as your first gun could create some bad habits.
Depending on where you live you probably can't even buy either of these guns because you're not 21. For a first rifle I say you should get a CZ 455/452/512, Ruger 10/22, or Savage A22. .22 is cheap, (now) plentiful, no recoil, and the important thing is you can develop and nearly perfect your marksmanship skills on a .22 rifle.
Pic related is mine
>>35104264
i cant read the caliber, shit pic OP
How'd I do?
>>35104297

Should I buy Wolf Polyformance 55gr for ~22cpr or M193 for ~29cpr?
Bump.
Poly war begins
>>35104227
Depends on your application. If you're not concerned with precision, go with steel case. You can afford more ammo doing it and Wolf is generally reliable.
>b-b-but it will wear your gun faster!!!1
People who say this don't even shoot an upwards of 10,000 rounds through a given gun so it doesn't even warrant such a concern. Shoot steel case and you will be fine.
>>35105757
Steel case is more accurate due to the steel jacket.
Say a company started building guns around slide-fire stocks to simulate full auto rifles, machine guns, etc.
What gun would you like to see them make/simulate?
Personally, I'd love to see a belt fed HK21 with the stock.
> stocks
I would love for a big ass gun company to make bump fire grips like JT and Bair Arms did, then get sued by slide fire only for big gun company to win with more lawyers than slide fire.
Anyway, I want bump fire cz scorpions and Thompson.
>>35105126
>ends up 20 feet back from where firing commenced
I want to believe it's a good gun.
>>35104015
It is.
It's a legitimately good gun.
It's just not the legendary stuff it full of mud reliability that, let's face it, is physically impossible to do and still has a functioning firearm.
Kinda like the ARs accuracy.
You can get an AK to do damn near anything an AR will do until you start spending four times the value of your car on it.
It's more accurate than an AK, yeah, but it ain't the absurd legendary accuracy you hear about (not for something most peons can afford anyways)
It's outdated. It's 1940s (arguably older) tech. The design is antiquated and it is unfair to compare it to newer, better engendered designs.

What exactly is the BEST 5.56 round for killing unarmored threats in an urban environment? Hollow point? Some type of soft point? How does this round do when presented with simple barriers like interior walls, vehicle doors and windshields?
77 GRAIN
OPEN TIP
MATCH
>>35103858
Softpoints of medium weight (64-70 grain) seem to be the best "all around" 5.56 round. Good terminal ballistics, good barrier penetration. I prefer speer gold dot 64 grain.

I'm in Austin and I wanna see if any /k/omrades want to have a giant meetup where we dress up in our gear and walk around with swords,. I thought of going as an arab guy since I have a scimitar. That or Yojimbo. Kind of thought it'd be hilarious. Anyone else game for it? Figure we'd have a giant class photo in front of the capitol.
Court sword. That's what it's meant for.
