If the Mosin Nagant is so special how come no modern 1st world armies use it anymore? Are you saying if the SHTF the Mosin Nagant would be the rifle you choose?

>Are you saying if the SHTF the Mosin Nagant would be the rifle you choose?
Considering the average price and availability of 7.62x54R, there are certainly worse choices.
It's a good cheap shooter as long as you can find one that the lans in the bore weren't fucking cleaned out with a metal brush also the 762/54 is a man stopper
So, /k/. I've got a little conundrum for you.
I heard a story recently about a dude who tried to sue pepsico in 1996 over false advertising -- a promo commercial reported that you could redeem an AV-8 Harrier jump jet for 7 million pepsi points. Pepsi didn't expect someone to 1. actually gain that many, and 2. push the issue to court.
This sounds awesome, doesn't it? Unfortunately, I heard the dude lost the case because it was established a civilian couldn't actually own one legally. That brings me to my question.
Is that shit true? Can I really not own a fucking jump jet? You can buy govt decommissioned apaches and old tanks if parts of them are registered as DDs; why can't you do the same with a fighter jet? What the fuck, /k/?
Fighter jets as clear back as the 60's and 70's still have classified parts in them.
Old tanks and Apaches don't.
The end.

This guy owns 3 last I heard.

>>31503954
The decision was a bit more complicated than that.
Basically, the court didn't say it was ILLEGAL to own a Harrier. They just said that Pepsi's commercial did not constitute a legal offer to give away a Harrier, and also pointed out that a reasonable (ie: not utterly retarded or autistic) person would realize that the Harrier part was a joke.
The White House also declared that in order for any civilian to own a Harrier, it had to have its VTOL capability removed, which completely defeats the point of having a Harrier in the first place.

They don't do anything
>>31503923
Yea, and now they are just profiting by holding this raffle for guns that are going to be banned.
Why the fuck do the dems want to ban the RPR in 6.5, the Hi Power, and 1911s??
Anybody know anything about these? I'm thinking about getting one, because I'm on a budget. Also, they come in a variety of calibers and I have no idea which one is best.

I've got one in .22lr
It's a decent rifle. I haven't had any glaring issues. It shoots well and works reliably.

They're good.
.308 or nuffin
You could also get a R700 in .308 drop that bitch in a wooden stock and remove gook
Why was a smaller and 5.56 version of the MG42 and MG3 never made?

What was the worst standard rifle cartridge of WWII and why was it .303 British?
>>31503388
Soviet .54R by far.
.303 was and still is good quality, you can cap a rhino or elephant with the paper HP .303
>>31503388
.303 is great. Excellent velocity, perfect 174 grain bullet.
Id say any of the italian calibers are shit.
>>31503388
OP, why are you hating .303 British?
So i recently coughed up the money to get an H&K USP9 (Full sized) used and it's a 2003 V1 model. When i got it home i noticed that when i shake it some internals are wobbly but not the slide
>Dafuq.jpg
I take it apart to find that the disconnector is a little wobbly. I hear reports that this is normal, and some that it isn't, then i hear reports it's just the nylon brush up against the bushing or something like that.
Can you help a brother out /k/? I go on google and type in "H&K USP disconnector problem" and it only has a result to a forum and talks about the compact.
Is this normal for USP's? Thanks.
I thought HK USP's are supposed to be top of the line?
have you shot it
does it dryfire?
if so, all is well
>>31503520
Well i found this USP and it looked like it needed a little TLC. The internals were all dusty so i disassembled it and cleaned the dust off with Hoppes #9 and everything seems ok, but that wobbling bothers me. I just hope that my investment didn't go to waste.
How did Israel become America's ally? How exactly do we fund them? What will happen to our relationship if America begins demilitarization?

i dont know why the US would want a country filled with militant white people in the middle east to be an ally either

The second presidential debate is going to have questions in it that were voted on by the internet. If you sort by votes towards the top there's a question that asks how the candidates will protect the second amendment. Vote it up and spread it around so they can't weasel out of asking it.
They will just lie, like with all the other debated matters.

Is it really that hard to take not even five seconds to click the link and vote? Yeah, they'll probably both lie their asses off about everything, but a question like that would throw Hillary and give Trump an opening to attack.
The end of days is coming /k
If you had to choose between a WASR 10
And WASR 10/63, what would it be?
>>31503143
It's not coming in your lifetime.
Get a vepr, convert it.
>>31503166
I dont really like the looks of them that much.
Id rather just have a classic AK from the start and not even worry about spending more on it.
I saw an ak for 420$ that needs a 30round conversion that Im considering though.
I just want a sweet beater rifle that will last a lifetime, pack a punch, and have a world of history behind it.
>>31503406
AMD 63 or AMD 65. They're good for a beater gun at $500 bucks with alot of aftermarket
What is the proper way to fortify any given area with sandbags and other such constructs? I know it's going to be heavily dictated by terrains and what you have, but let's just say conditions are perfect and textbook, I'm assuming there is some sort of doctrine or general idea that is taught.
Gun emplacements are determined by likely avenues of enemy approach.
You mean how do you stack sandbags? Cause, that's too stupid to answer.
If you actually want to learn this stuff for real, google the relevant US army field manuals and look for videos on youtube about this subject. Then go build your own in your backyard.
>>31503126
>conditions are perfect
You dig a WW1-style trench network and use the sandbags as a double-thick rampart.
Even your overhead cover is literally dirt piled several feet deep on cut logs.
Never shot a gun in my life, but I'm curious about the difference of these two calibers. Which one would be suited for what? and how is the range effectiveness when comparing these two?
Just google it you lazy fuck.

>all these recent SHTF events got me thinking I should have gotten something bigger, sometimes I worry if im under armed
>it has a safety, not my first choice but the store only had those and I was tired of waiting
Dont get me wrong, I still like it but sometimes I think I should have gotten something else

Accidentally slammed the toggle shut on an empty chamber on a guys artillery luger at a gun show. Felt awful.
Bought a M44 for $325 and a HiPoint
I bought a Kel Tec KSG
> Thought it was cool because Keanu Reeves used one in John Wick
> Saw one at Gun Show. Live in NY and it's the coolest "legal" shotgun I can buy.
> Pay more than it's worth $1k on it
> Go out like an hour later
> Immediately malfunctions. Shell caught in chamber and won't eject. I have to beat the pump against trees and table lips to get the shells to eject.
> Call Kel Tec
> Call Kel Tec
> Call Kel Tec for tenth time and finally talk to someone. They say I need proof of being the original owner before they'll take it back for service or I'll pay.
> I lost the fucking receipt in the week I had the gun.
> Fuck it I'll do it myself.
> Go home and research it. Chamber is parkerized so badly every shell becomes jammed. Polish and hone it.
> Discover that forcing the shells out caused the pump arms to bend snapping a piece of the plastic loading ramps off
> Order expensive replacement part from Kel Tec
> Chamber issue is fixed but now the shells are catching on the lip of the chamber every other fucking round.
> Go home. Cannot figure out WHY
> Let it sit for a week or two because work. Kept tubes loaded because I was delusional enough to want this thing for home defense.
> Go to fuck with it again. Shells are stuck halfway in the tube, the spring is bound up.
> Complete disassembly shows me the followers are cracked and springs are weak as fuck.
> Order new followers and springs
> Wait more. Finally get them. Replace them. Things seem okay but don't keep the tubes loaded anymore, it's purely a range toy now I've come to grips with this.
> Spend upwards of 9 months on and off trying different things to stop shells from catching on the chamber lip and jamming.
> Figure it out. Bend the lifter-arms.
> That works, I go out to shoot it. Now the shells are jammed so hard between the shell stop and tube I can't get them out without completely disassembling the gun and ramming them out with a hammer.
> Buy new shell stop.
> Wait. Wait. Wait.
