An F-4E Phantom II crashed behind my house when I was 6 months old. Ask me anything.

>In the longest range surface-to-air intercept of its kind in naval history, a Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) Standard Missile-6 successfully destroyed an over-the-horizon, threat target.
>The mission also demonstrated the combat capabilities that SM-6 brings to Naval Integrated Fire Control-Counter Air, an effort designed to link U.S. Navy ships and airborne sensors into a single network via Cooperative Engagement Capability. The SM-6 was fired from the USS Princeton (CG59), a U.S. Navy Cruiser equipped with the latest Aegis baseline 9 combat system.
>"The multi-mission SM-6 is in a class of its own as it demonstrates its ability to go further, faster and counter more threats to offer maximum mission flexibility," said Mike Campisi, Standard Missile-6 senior program director. "The missile's ability to defend against so many different threats makes it the go-to solution to meet modern fleet defense needs across the globe."

Hello /k/omrades, I am recently of purchase new rifle. It is of glorious reason Russian avtomat kalashnikov type.
Anyways, new AK, picked it up for a little over 7 benjamins, has real nice wood I don't know if the picture will do it justice. It was a bit of a impulse buy mainly due to the fact that the manufacturer (I.O) inter ordinance, is local, about 10 minutes from my house in Florida. Can anyone tell me anything about her? I did some research before purchase but I'm curious what you all think. Put 200 rounds through her the other day, red army bulkpack steel case shit, since I'm poor. Shot fine, not really any nice grouping to speak of but it's minute of man at 100 yards.
Feel free to tell me if I'm retarded or not in various ways.
Ha ha oh wow.
>people are STILL buying io rifles
I mean I know there are people that just don't do research, period, but I still can't believe it.

That's a quality post there friend
Was the Churchill really ever any good past 1944?
>>31515611
It was an excellent infantry support tank. And when it did encounter a tank it had the armour and gun to deal with it.
>>31515611
Do you not mean it only really got good in 1944?
Crocodile (probably slightly before 1944 but whatever), better turrets, a slightly competitive 75mm gun... earlier ones with the 2/6 pounders could climb hills but that's about it
at least a crocodile could climb a hill then incinerate everyone at the top of it
What can /k/ tell me about gun laws in Uruguay?
I searched and all i can see is about handguns, etc. I couldn't find the law on hunting rifles.
I intend to move there and i'd like to go hunting once in a while.
>>31515595
You can own pretty much all that is standard in USA, but prices are crazy, like over a 1k dollarinos for a Glock.
They recently approved a retarded law that limits the capacity of shotguns to 4 rounds.
>>31516138
What about bolt action rifles? There is any caliber restriction?
>>31515595
Why would you want to move to a 3rd world shithole?
What is the reason for compact or god forbid, micro compact when a full-size handgun conceals this easily?
>>31515573
>>31515573
>conceals easily
Because sometimes even more easily is better than easily
Because i'd rather have a gun i barely feel than a brick in my pants.
Ruger American Compact is out.

Uber driver here. What should I carry to protect myself during my trips? The company says that drivers shouldn't carry a gun but I ain't putting my life in the line. I was thinking about a .38 special subnose, since semiautos will go out of battery if I press the muzzle against someone in the confined space of a car.
Really, any pocket gun should be fine if you're comfortable shooting it.
Also, can Uber drivers just not pick up black customers?
>>31515141
>.38 special subnose
Nice. Should go all Taxi Driver on them
>>31515154
I'm black myself kek. A lot of hispanics steal, so some asians. Don't go all on one race.

ha, I know. Thinking about picking a S&W Model 686 with a 2" barrel
Hey, /k/
I made a thread earlier today about buying an SKS from a gun show. Well, I'm back and I made my purchase.
It's a "Romanian" SKS and I got it for $450 cash. The stock is kind of fucked up and the firing pin may have some issues (it moved back and forth as I tilted it but didn't "click clack" around in the bolt as other anons said it should). I'm also not 100% sure it's ROmanian, and the seller couldn't exactly verify it either. The blade-style bayonet would lead me to believe it's one, though. And it lacked any Chinese markings so I wouldn't say it's a Type-56/Sino-soviet.
Paying $450 for the rifle alone kinda sucked and I wish I could have gotten some ammo or a sling, but the other vendors were trying to sell me Yugos for $525+ and someone else thought their beat to shit Yugo was worth $600
I think I did alright, I overpaid a little but it seems like a solid rifle. The rifling was mostly intact although overall it seems kind of dirty and the stock is really beat up.
How'd I do, /k/?
The front sight is also misaligned but I was told I can just tap it into place by lightly tapping it with a hammer/rag from the pin on the side.
You won't feel you overpaid when someone offers you $700 for it in a few years.
>>31515138
dont adjust anything until youve shot it
that might be the actual zero
so /k/ i came across a handful of very large capacitors (350V 13,000uF) and although i didn't count id put it at about 20 or so in parallel they will add up to be (ballpark) about 16000 Joules worth fully charged...
My question is which would be a more efficient use of these, making a rail gun or a coil gun(pic related)
I havn't really done any sort of math as to the efficiency of either at the same joule-age so id be interested in getting /k/'s opinion as to which would get me the biggest bang for my capacitors
Make a coilgun. You would need megajoules worth of storage for a railgun.
>>31515048
have fun charging them
Anon, just to be clear have you tried putting the caps in your butt? I just want to rule this out as a possible avenue, as you have a built in flesh barrel.
