I Ordered some guns online last Saturday.
One from classicfirearms and another from sportsman's guide. Neither has shipped yet.
Talked to a rep from sportsmans who said they are still waiting on their FFL dept and it should ship in the next couple days. But that's what they told me monday.
she didn't say anything else.
Is this normal?
pic unrelated
>>31492976
>is this normal
yes.
>>31492991
the background checks and stuff don't happen until the FFL gets it correct?
I just bought a gun a few weeks ago so I'm fairly sure that's not the issue.
>>31493247
correct. the ffl holder you pick up the firearm from will conduct the check.
some places take a few days to ship firearms out.
Why did the Air Force take the B-1 Lancer, envisioned as a Mach 2.0 supersonic bomber, and limit it to Mach 1.25?
because range and speed and payload are all mutually exclusive
>>31492907
Because the B1A was killed by Carter. When the Regan admin brought it back in the 80's as the B1B, the viability of high-speed high-altitude attack profiles had been significantly degraded by the threat of SAMs. The B1B was reworked as a bomber focused on low-level penetration.
>>31493080
To Carter's credit, he only cancelled the B1A after knowing that the B2 was in development.
You wake up in the middle of the night upon hearing glass break. You step out of your room and see this.
How do you greet your uninvited guests?
>crowbar next to hand
Shoot them.
Also, does anybody have that video where a bunch of guys are sitting in a living room, one of their girlfriends tells them someone is breaking in, and they all rejoice and kit up to start clearing rooms?

Given the autonomy to do what they need to do, can a 50 strong sf team clean the criminality from a 1M pop city?
No.
>>31492630
No.
SF going in is the 1% of a operation.
99% is intel gathering.
They dont just *go in* and *clean shit*.
>>31492630
Organized gangs?
Yes.
Every single criminal out there?
No.
It would come down to them initiating intra and inter gang conflict and sweeping up the remains.
Whats /k/'s opinion on the HK417? Never fired one but thinking about getting. Also price range?
Import neuter baby with downs.
>>31492618
Por que
>>31492609
If it's just a scaled up 416 it should be good. May as well take a serious look at the SCAR 17s if you're in the $3500 price range
I'm in the market for a new gun, and I was looking at 3 different styles of gun to buy.
I want some form of milsurp but ammunition for the K31 is fairly expensive and only comes in batches. I absolutely loathe the Mosin, and I'd be hard-pressed to find a Mauser that isn't obscenely overpriced.
With a PCC I'd either buy a Cx4 storm or a CZ Scorpion Carbine, and I have plenty of 9mm laying around.
The lever gun would be more of a range toy, but I was considering a .45-70 rifle of soem sort.
I'm pretty indecisive, and while I love the history or having a Milsurp rifle, not being able to shoot it often is a crutch. I'd honestly like to keep as few calibers as possible.
Between those choices I'd say go for the CZ Scorpion and SBR it if you can in your state.
>>31492683
I'm not old enough to SBR IIRC.
>>31492743
I may be wrong and by all means correct me if I am but I think if your old enough for the gun your old enough to have it. Again I may be wrong but that's what I heard.
Give me some good cheap, effective, and portable homemade weapons. Does not matter if projectile or melee.
Homemade pepper sprays and stun guns/tasers also apply. As long as I can legally carry them around town/other gunfree places.
Build a four winds shotgun, maybe even make a stock for it.

anon i seriously hope that's not your picture.
What are some of the best 'classic' /k/ movies? Talking pre break up of the Soviet Union, including old west+ US civil war to late cold war.
Things like:
Dr Strangelove
Threads
Gettysburg (1993)
The Bridge on the River Kwai
etc
>>31492205
why not the dollars trilogy?
>>31492308
shits gay as fuck, way too artistic and foreign, young clint eastwood is a twink homo too
try the wild bunch or the treasure of the sierra madre instead
>>31492495

You kin just git the fuck outta mah town, shitheel.
What do you think of prospective Senator Jason Kander's campaign ad?

>using your military service to push gun control
Sounds like my dad. Just because he had some trigger time on handguns and machineguns every so often doesn't make him an expert. Assembling an AR-15 blindfolded is fairly easy if you own ir have experience with one.
>muh UBC
Now ruralfags like me won't be able to buy guns since I'd have to drive an insane amount of time to get to a gun store that probably won't be open because it's just some dude's glorified collection.
He's still an antigun faggot who put in the BCG and charging handle on an AR. Big whoop. He can go fuck himself.

Traitors die first.
Hey /k/ so id like to hear your thoughts. I graduated hs last june and want to join the marines. Either as infantry or going to marksman training and joining MARSOC, im not sure of the process to get in as recon (yes i will do plenty of research) but im curious what you guys have to say. I was also thinking of doing a quick stint in college with a military scholarship to get my bachelor's but im wondering if this will have any effect on my training/ability to choose my position.
>>31492026
A bachelor's degree with mean you likely attend OCS and become an officer when you join.
You can also do it in reverse - get NROTC scholarships and join as an officer immediately.
>>31492070
Yeah but you need an extremely high GPA to get one of those and spending another two years in a community college to get out of the two point o's is gonna be a pain in the ass aint it?
>>31492026
Don't choose recon.
If you fuck up in the training you might end up in food services or supply.
Instead do infantry and prove yourself able to take on recon school.
Then if you fail you'll get recycled back to infantry.
is the hunga munga a good weapon, /k/?
>>31491968
Axe are just as good
>>31491968
Pretty much as good as a throwing knife gets.
Which, in the grand scheme of things, isn't saying particularly much.
>>31491968
HAHAHA, He asks is this a good weapon?
Son, this is the only weapon.
#HungaMunga
So the happening has happened, and the fecal matter has impacted the rotary impeller. You come upon a seemingly well-defended settlement that seems worth setting down in. The only problem is they have more men with guns on the wall than people with primitive skills to make a small village worth living in. What skills are Anon's meal ticket in?
I was a lead cook at 2 different college dining halls before I became a truck driver. I still know how to feed 1000+ heads per day.
I have a lot of hobby experience making beer, wine, and mead, while having an academic understanding of still construction and operation.
I intend to have my first bee hive in operation by the end of the year.
>>31491838
A SHTF thread that is not about gear or being tactical?
Well, I can build things ranging from a simple rabbit hutch to a cabin capable of housing 3-5 people. I also, have some decent farming skills have about 5 acres where I grow peppers, tomatoes, squash, and corn.
>>31491838
10 years working plumbing and electrical.
Pretty sure I'm MVP status for those skills alone since I can easily set up running water and sewage systems. Electrical is easy enough for most anybody to figure out though.
But yeah, I feel most people dramatically undervalue how much of a life improver it is to have a toilet that flushes and a sink that runs, and doesn't mix the two.
>>31491921
This. some reason people here think that it would go all Stalker and they would be all happy go lucky. Let me tell you the first time you take a shit and don't have any TP or go without a shower for a month they will likely be willing to suck your dick to get those things.
>Good afternoon sir, I'm here to investigate your boating accident and the firearms that went with it.
What do you say /k/?
Ah yes, those must be at the very bottom of Lake Gofuckyourself at this very moment.
>>31491822
Say nothing, shove dragon dildo down ATF fiends mouth while simultaneously protecting doggo.
>>31491822
Funny, the last 12 houses we went to said the same thing
So many people here hate cotton for SHTF situations. Why? It's comfortable, quiet, washable, and warm when dry. The only downside is that they're wet and cold when wet. What are some cotton alternatives that aren't shit?
Heavy and cold when wet**** (OP here)
>>31491821
This only downside can kill you
Wool/synthetic wools are pretty good. Wool socks (at least high quality ones) are breathable, stay warm when wet, and will last for a long time.
