Memes aside, what is the point of .40? If you want accuracy, get a 9mm. If you want stopping power, get a .45.

Would it be possible to create a functional bolter?
Next question?
>>31860305
Yeah, it wouldn't exactly be a bolter but yeah.
>>31860651
Why? Gas op guns aren't exactly fucking rocket science. The real problem is getting the actual bolter shells working like they do in world.
So just had a 3rd shooting at work 2 hours ago. I've been looking at getting a 1911 but am for sure getting one this week.
There is a gun show this weekend and was wondering if any one could tell me what to look for when buying one. I also wouldn't care to buy a brand new one from colt or Springfield. Please help.
>>31859808
Well, if you hate Colt and Springfield for whatever reason, another brand in that price range is Remington.
I've had and carried a Remington R1 Enhanced for about 3 years, and I have never had a single issue with it whatsoever.
Though that specific model was set up as more of a target gun, so I replaced the target sights with night sights.
They make specifically built carry guns though.
Pretty much any 1911 around the $700 mark will be a good buy.
Except Kimber. Avoid them at all costs.
>>31859832
I don't hate colt or Springfield I was trying to say I'm OK with buying brand new direct if I needed too. I really want springfield model.
>>31859832
What's wrong with Kimber?

Faggot with the waifu patch from late last thread.
What can you do about shoulder straps that are wanting to come undone a lot? my left strap is being a bastard, but the right one is pretty solid. It wasn't doing that until I started fussing with it, because it was tighter than the right strap.
Do I have too much weight on the vest? Is it too loose/tight? Is it just shit quality? these buckles don't seem to help keep too much in place, either.
>>31859521
Is your strap only attached via that tri-bar slider?
>>31859546
No, it velcros to the inside of the vet at both the front and back side. The strap just kinda sorta holds things together maybe?
Every time the velcro comes undone the strap just undoes itself, so I don't really know what it does DESU.

Does the chairforce really hate junior enlisted that much?
Hey, got back from MEPS and the only thing temporarily holding me up from joining the navy is my eyesight and I have an appointment with their ophthalmologist to get my eyes cleared.
My question is in the navy, what MOS is the best if I want to do gunsmithing after my contract is up. I'm eyeing the GM position. Is there a better position to go for however?

I haven't told anyone this story. I told my father that I went out for a hike at night and decided to sleep in a tree. I still have nightmares about this.

how are you holding up /k/? are you happy?
>>31856550
Not particularly
I'm going to take a zero on an essay, and I'm not getting paid as much as I'd like, but that's retail. Things are decent. Really need to get done with school and find a girl to wife.
I've loaded myself onto my goals, and am living happy by assuming I'll reach them, which is bad because if/when i fail reaching one it will be all the more crushing.
How about them guns, huh?
Do you carry with a +1 round. Please don't misunderstand me. I am not asking if you carry with a round chambered. I am asking if you chamber a round, then remove the mag, then add one more round to the mag to top it off before reinserting it into the gun.

Do non U.S. persons still use berdan primers? All that free 308 brass; into the scrap bucket it goes...
Get a Lee decapper. The pin pops out instead of bending or breaking. I use a Lee universal decapper for everything. Their sizing dies work the same way, though.
>>31855239
yes, most places around the world do, in fact use berdan because it's thought to be more reliable and durable for ignition and powder burn, and they never cared about reloading ammunition to begin with. berdan is perfectly reloadable using a depriming tool or just water and a press.
boxer is unique to the US, and some sporting cartridges.
That is a Lee pin from a universal decapping die.

What does /k/ think of Skallagrim?
He's a Canadian who's got the mental outlook on martial arts and martial tools of a 17 year old, though he is slightly more articulate than the average 17 year old.
It's likely that his lack of elaboration on martial arts for actual martial use is a product of a fear that in the event he has to defend himself or Kara that his videos would be used to make him look like a psycho to his fudd and cuck neighbors. That doesn't make his way of beating around the bush any less annoying, though.
He's a bit autistic (not even kidding - dude just screams Asperger's), and he tends to ramble on about shit I don't care about, but for the most part he seems pretty knowledgeable. I wouldn't take him too seriously, but he's not spouting bullshit or anything.
>>31853767
Doesn't pretend to know more than he actually does, I can respect that.
Most of his opinions are reasonable, some are dumb.
Is a furry, is vegeterian.
6+/10 would shoot with.
