>tfw you the battle of Berlin happened 69 years before you were eligible to serve
what battles or campaigns do you wish you could've seen first hand?
>>31861701
Would have loved to see the battle of Waterloo from a safe distance away.
Could you imagine witnessing a key battle in the last great forceful expansion of an empire? Gets me hard just thinking about it.
>>31861701
I missed Vietnam by 13 years. In perspective, the GWOT has been going on for 15 years.
>>31861701
Why would you want to fight in a battle you know you're going to lose?
Neighbor across the streets house got broken into this morning, I saw the truck pass by and one of them was pointing at my house. Should I set up in my window and wait out Halloween so niggers don't bust in here?
>asking this type of question on /k/
what the fuck do you think idiot ? of course you prepare yourself
>>31861705
I'm just thinking about the legal issues if I blew a hole in a shitskin who was at my front door on Halloween.
>>31861723
Just don't "bait" them. If IRC, some guy went to prison for a little no time because he made it look like he wasn't home and basically set up an ambush for the people who kept breaking into his house. Granted, he also audio recorded himself finished off a wounded chick begging for her life, but still.
fuck
the college security just took my prop gun because fake guns are against school rules. does this mean i should bring a real one instead?
>>31861109
Yes and make sure to phone the school to let them know you're going to bring them, so it's not a surprise and it will save you time when you register with the front desk
>>31861142
they also said i cant wear my gp5 the fuk!??!!
i feel like such a fucking cuck
You find out an local terrorist cell meets in the room of an ex-Nazi that lives quietly next door to your beloved grandmother in her retirement home. You go undercover as a nurse to begin the operation. What weapons do you choose for the dank smelling hallways adorned with antique paintings?
>>31861016
Why would I want to fight the ex-Nazis? I mean if they where Muslims I would bring a CZ 75 SP-01 with a s suppressor but if not then I would bring a cake to give them.
>>31861016

What color shooting glasses are best and why?
>>31860506
Clear
Why decrease your ability to discern color and variation in brightness?
>>31860506
I like clear, orange and dark depending on light levels.
>>31860531
Because enhanced contrast, darling.
>>31860506
Depends on light level and what I am shooting
Indoors or partly cloudy day - I use clear
Outdoors and overcast - I usually use amber
Shooting clays - I usually use amber
Outdoors and bright - I usually use smoke
This can vary depending if I forget the correct or misjudge what the weather will be like when I pack up.
Greetings, /k/...
I find myself in need of some offset sights for my 308 SPR. Are there really any fairly decent sets that don't cost 200 bucks?
What I want:
A good, quality set of sights that will see moderate to heavy usage on a .308 SPR
All metal construction
Hopefully low profile (on the mount - to have enough room under the scope - the sights themselves should be regular height)
What I don't want:
Airsoft sights that will break the 3rd time I use them.
To have to spend 200 bucks to get a decent set.
Inexpensive is great. Cheap is not. : (
I like the Duecks, but damn, they seem expensive for what you get. I know Magpul makes some, but not too enamored with plastic sights.
Don't have a preference as far as flip-up vs. non, but it seems to me the non-flip sights would be more robust for long term medium to hard usage.
>>31860309
Magpul pro?
>>31860322
175 bucks - Might as well buy the Duecks at that price point.
Was hoping to find another alternative that are sub-100 that aren't complete crap.
>>31860346
Sub 100 may be unrealistic for non airsoft-tier sights. I would really recommend you save for the Duecks; the fiber optic front post they offer is great

Prototype is out. Concept looks like it will be a wide-area distributed surveillance UAV swarm, controled by a cluster AI and armed with explosives.
Could be used for SEAD as well.

Do you give up and surrender to the Chinese power?
Alright, I want this. Anyone know where to get one in the USA
>Australian International Arms no4 Mk 10A2
>No 4 Enfield

>Less than 1000 imported into USA

Checked
I saw one a couple months ago at a gunshow in Colorado springs
They tried to peddle these about a decade ago inna Eurolandia.
I don't know if the issues still exist, but this is what european shooters ran into:
- They say it's "Australian International Arms" but it's actually made in Vietnam.
- The supplied magazines didn't feed for shit.
- The stocks cracked like twigs.
- Accuracy was meh.
>>31860339
From what I have read and been told only the stocks were made in Vietnam, and the mags they came with were the only ones that work good. Kinda shitty desu I'm pretty sure the same company made M1s under the Lithgow name
It seems like CA-legal means being limited to a capacity of 10+1. What handgun would you choose if you were limited to this capacity? Would you pick a 1911, or would you go for those extra two rounds?
Also,
I plan on moving to CA from PA next summer. I currently own zero guns. Would I be better off buying a handgun in PA before moving? The wording on this website makes it seem like I can own anything in CA as long as I don't sell it: http://certguns.doj.ca.gov/
TLDR: What handgun would you pick if stranded in CA and limited to 10+1
>>31859986
Going full Mexican with .38 super barreled 1911 with 9mm cap mags.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSevk49yokc
If I'm going to be limited in capacity, P239 all the wag. All around excellent shooter with a grip that works incredibly well for smaller hands. It's basically a 1911 in DA/SA format
>slim grip
>outstanding trigger
>very easy to shoot
>hilariously low capacity
>heavy
I really should sell my shitty P226 I have no practical need for and get a P239 to replace it.
Can I buy a Beretta 92 in PA and take it to CA or can I not bring in any higher-than-10 capacity guns?
What does /k/ think, how would WW2 era Anti-tank rifles, such as the Boys, the Pzb 39 and the PTRD/PTRS work against modern armored vehicles?
Of course, i'm not saying that they could compete against an abrams or Leopard IIs, but i think they could be a real threat against APCs, such as the BTRs, and against HMMWVs.
And yes, i know we have .50cals and ATGMS. The question is about their ancestors.
>>31859962
Good luck finding ammunition for any of them.
>>31859962
PTRDs and PTRSs are pretty popular in Syria and Ukraine. They take out trucks and stuff nicely.
Sure they're still effective against thin armor, but why fire on shot at a time when you can fire a burst, or fire a rocket-propelled grenade that can do more then punch a small hole in that light armor?
Does anyone on /k/ own one? I'm thinking of getting one because it seems like it's damn well worth the cost. I'm nearing my 4th pistol and I want to put fiber optics on all of them and getting individual adjustment tools for them will be more expensive.
Plus, I can charge people a fair price to use it at the range to get some of that money back along with lending it out to friends.
>>31859654
Vise + Brass punch + Hammer = Universal Sight tool.
>>31859656
I'm having some trouble removing my stock Shield's front sight with a set of punches and a craftsman hobby vise. The thing won't budge and I'm suspecting if it's either the front sight according to the internet comes very tight from the factory or that my vise isn't up for the task.
I'll get some PB blaster on it in a few days and try again. That along with hooking a few of my buddies I got into shooting up with a convinient way to get their sights in is why I'm looking hard to getting the tool. Along with the fact that I can carry it to the range and make adjustments as I go to getting a good zero.
>>31859675
I've no experience with those universal tool, and don't know how "universal" they are.
Most aftermarket sights come with brass punches, so you know how these manufacturers feel about sight tools being that important.
Get a caliper. There's no reason to "zero" a pistol sight. It should be in the center. Don't zero it to fix your bad shooting habits.
>installation video
>jump cuts through the difficult part you need help getting done
>no information online on how to do it
Every fucking time.
>>31859409
that was me when I was first putting together an AR upper and trying to find all the info possible. I needed a rundown on everything like how to use a torque wrench and how much grease should I use on the threads for the upper and there isn't really "explain it like I'm a kindergartener" level stuff out there. No, I never used a torque wrench before I put together an AR.
And then you learn some mechanical aptitude and figure it out for yourself, proceeding to never put the very information you were searching for online damning others to the same exact fate.
Been there OP, it's a vicious cycle but we gain strength through adversity.

>proceeding to never put the very information you were searching for online damning others to the same exact fate.
I'm actually planning on making a video on how to do certain things for this exact reason.

Hi /k/!
I've recently bought STALKER Call of Pripyat on steam while it's on sale and it's given me a push to finally look into actually doing a STALKER challenge. My plan is to bring a friend and go trekking and cheeki breeki up abandoned structures but I would like some tips or general information.
For one, I live in New York State, sister state to Commiefornia, so I'm not entirely sure on the open carry laws regarding rifles. My friend and I have discussed that we'd both like to bring mosins since most other things are classed as assault weapons or are open to interpretation by courts.
By my reading, I /think/ we can carry them openly so long as they aren't loaded, but the information is sketchy at best because laws are kind of vague. Has any anon had experience/have knowledge of this?
Another problem is trying to find abandoned places that aren't inhabited or actively cordoned/blocked. We aren't really looking to get spooked, so most of the abandoned hospitals and whatnot are unreasonable, but I want to hear if we have any fellow New York prisoners with any experience.
so tl;dr NY State gun laws for open carry of bolt actions and abandoned places to go.
If you've ever done a STALKER challenge, I welcome you to post your pictures!
