How does this law work? Say you hear somebody breaking into your car outside during the middle of the night, so you grab your pistol to investigate and approach the suspect but keep it pointed at the ground. Is that illegal?
>>31871679
What state do you live in?
>>31872665
Come on Op, we can't tell you the answer unless you tell us what state this hypothetical is in?
>>31871679
i live in nj and you cant legally go outside with a gun unless you are hunting or going to the gun range
What would be the best gun to keep on person nearly at all times when in public in a country that doesn't have a gun culture and might not be friendly to people who carry guns?
Ignore that technically it's illegal to own handguns designed after 1945; the law is volatile, so I'm hoping MAYBE it'll stop being autistic at some time in the future.
Changing post a little because I accidentally posted in a thread...
>designed afer 1945 limitation
1911.
>>31871658
Doesn't matter, just wear it so you don't print/expose or don't wear it at all.
I live in Euroland and carry when I can conceal a G19. That means being uncomfortable 1-2 months in a year, or not carrying at that time.
Of course you can just pick a super compact gun like an LCP or Kevin (Micro Eagle) for when it's really hot, but I'm not a fan of these.
>>31871758
Hi-power would be another. Or he could go old-school with a ruby of some type.
Minding your own business then

SAGE
I WHISTLE BACK AND ASSERT MY DOMINANCE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9QuO09z-SI
Is this a meme? I've only been in a few fights in my life, but none of them have been fair or honorable. They were all totally senseless. Twice I got sucker punched, once I got jumped by 4 dindus.
My dad told me that back in his day you could actually challenge somebody to a fight and they would walk outside together and nobody would hit below the belt or pull a knife on you.
Is a fair fight a Whites only concept? Will we ever have a fair fight again?
>>31871571
>fair fights
>read this just as the song says "fair fights don't exist"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zPF_aroodw
I guess this is now the thread theme
>>31871571
>Is a fair fight a Whites only concept?
Pretty much.
>Will we ever have a fair fight again?
After the Day of the Rope.
>>31871625
The single motherhood epidemic probably had something to do with it too. Fair fights is the embodiment of a lot of European masculine virtues than can only be learned from a strong father.
First gun, what do yens think? Carcano thread
Hi Mr. Oswald.
>>31871545
>Sporterizing a Carcano
Disgusting.
>>31871545
This kills the Kennedy
so i never handeled anny non-air guns before but i kind of like the idea of learning to handle a weapon that behaves and is handeled simmilar to pic related.
(probably only gamers can help me out on this one)
I play extensive vidya and ttg and I have no clue what the shit that thing is
Looks like some kind of energy weapon, if so you are shit out of luck you fucking dweeb
>>31871449
it is a rifle from Warframe. it shoots bullets and not energy. the name is LATRON PRIME maybe that helps.
A few things OP
1. Don't base your first gun purchase on vidya, especially not warframe
2.the closest thing you'll get to a latron prime is a 5.56 carbine.
Anyone else have range anxiety because of their weapons? I own my great grandfather's old 1911 army pistol and his father's Krag Jorgensen rifle, but I'm sort of intimidated to go practice with them at the range because of all the people using modern weaponry. I see people with their tricked out tactically advanced ARs and I can't help but think that they're silently judging me or laughing at me for bringing out these century-old outdated guns to the range.
Should I trade them in for a modernized AR?
>>31871312
>1911
>outdated
have some damn pride anon
>>31871329
I see people at the range who can hold 20+ rounds in their handguns and it makes me feel a little intimidated
What have you anons bought recently?
Got this 1911 Gevär m/96 in a trade for my old SMLE. I originally intended to flip this...but I'm getting kind of attached to it. I named it Carl.
Anyone know a good place to get 6.5x55 ammo?
>>31871356
That sure looks like one fine rifle!
bought a ccp yesterday to go with the ptr i bought last weekish.
also 40 ptr mags cause they're like 3 bucks a pop.
I almost just died
>go outside trailer to piss cause water is off
>hear crack above head
>look up to see pic related falling right towards my face
>only have enough time to put away junk
>bounces off right side of head and smashes shoulder
All in all better than expected, I totally thought it ripped my ear off and it could've easily snapped my neck. But what can you do to protect your neck? Some sort of juggernaut helmet? Helmet with suspension to the shoulders?
>>31871224
Paying your water bill should help
>>31871241
Trimming your trees works also.
>>31871224
The struggle is real
Does it look legitimate? It's in wonderful condition and I was considering buying it from someone
>>31871180
Check the blade for markings but I don't think so.
>>31871180
modern garbage
Can anyone help me identify what model of Mosin this is? Only thing i know is that the caliber is "7,62x53R" or atleast according to the previous owner.
>>31871155
Heavily sporterized Mosin. Worth about $25.
>>31871160
Sporterized?
>>31871155
It's a normal 91/30 that Bubba got ahold of and swapped the stock.
Still would make a decent durr rifle, but it's not worth anything.
Can someone explain to me why the blowback mechanism of a modern semi-automatic pistol only starts after the bullet has exited the barrel.
>>31871035
The pressure behind the bullet that forces it out of the barrel pushes the slide back, ejecting the spent casing and chambering a new round from the magazine.
It doesn't. As soon as the round goes off, the gases push the slide backwards (I'm really over-simplifying this) which ejects the spent cartridge and allows a new round to slide into the chamber.
>>31871035
The bullet travels so fast, it leave before the cartridge has time to move back
What's your opinion of the Beretta 92FS?
>>31870889
11b-tier
>>31870889
Love mine, over 1500 round though it in 3 years, have the base model and the brigadier. I keep it on my bed for HD or if i suffer a deep existential crisis and have to end myself.
>>31870889
I've had one for a while. Can't hit dick with it. I got the stock plastic trigger replaced with a metal one but I think I need some more work.
Anyone know of a light trigger I can have installed? I can shoot fine with my buddy's M&P
Is there a need for an improved method of locomotion for infantrymen?
Like the ability to move in a fully three dimensional manner (up a floor, down a floor). More and more wars will be conducted in urban environments, meaning tons of blocked off alleyways and chokepoints set up by the enemy.
Has anyone actually thought about addressing this with technological means or is everyone waiting for the first disaster to occur in a urban warzone?
It's almost like infantry have these things called "explosives" and "ladders" that they can use to move around walls and buildings......woah
>>31870900
>ladders
Slow and archaic
>Its almost like cavalry has these things called horses and cutlasses......whoa
That's you. That's what you sound like.
>>31870878
>Like the ability to move in a fully three dimensional manner (up a floor, down a floor)
Yes, we called them stairs. In 3D even!
How could the M202 or a similar system work as a tripod mounted emplacement weapon? Given that there would actually be a frontline, could it work in a similar role in trenches etc like machine guns?
>>31870794
>Given that there would actually be a frontline
You must be 18 to post here.
>>31870794
it could be you need 2 man to operate it, meanwhile the russian got a disposable launcher that does the same job ( RPO varients ) and the chinese got a 2 tube launcher that don't need a tripod
beside the US already have thermobaric ammo for SMAW, so no need to spend more
No
It's a short-ranged, lightweight assault munition
