I have chosen a Bersa 380. Plus as Concealed Carry gun.
It has a 380, round, as the name says.
A magazine capacity of 15 shots plus one round in the chamber.
It weights about 680 grs.
Does anyone own this model, has anyone used it in a self defense situtation?
What does /k/ think of it?
>>31854345
Better than nothing, generally reliable enough to be useful, in a caliber that is at least useful.
You could have done a lot worse.
A friend of mine carries a Bersa Thunder in .380 and loves it, and as much as I talked shit about his decision, it's never hiccuped on him during a range session or concealed carry qual.
I personally would advocate for a 9mm, but a 380 is at least useful.
I've only read about the Bersa Thunder 380.'s, it seems pretty similar in appearance to one, but with a double stack mag. If that's so, it should be reliable based on the ammo you use. I hear it only likes certain kinds, with heavier loads.
I'm personally interested in acquiring a bersa thunder in 380. too and would like to know more. I've honestly considered just buying a makarov or Pa-63 and swapping out the trigger since the prices are so similar where I am though.
>>31854362
All the afordable 9mm they had where full service pistols, i want something more easy to conceal, also the mag capacity should be enough to deal with a threat.
How many megatons would it take to stop a Hurricane?
The National Weather Service actually put out a press release about this in the 90s.
The TL;DR was "hurricanes are bigger than nukes" and "radioactive hurricanes are worse than the regular kind"

Link, sounds fucking amazing, doomsday weapon even.
it makes it grow.
Can we have ourselves a /k/ stencil thread?

Nice.
Good news guys!
I found a unit where you will all be able to 'operate'
Unit 9900″, Israeli Defense Forces
This unit is an Intelligence unit that uses the skillsets of its very unusual soldiers: Army recruits who suffer from autism.
While normally no military service in the world would draft those people, the Israeli army makes use of their advanced perception and alternative thinking abilities which are linked to autism.
Unit 9900 is part of the Intelligence Corps and a lot of its mission parameters are therefore classified. However, it is known that the “persons in the autism spectrum” are mostly analyzing and interpreting aerial and satellite photographs.
The Israeli Army is very proud of this unit and considers their autistic soldiers as one of their “most valuable assets”.

Kinda clever i guess they also have downs sindrome folks fxing computers

Should you get a safe or just hide your stuff?

This had better not be another poorfag anti-safe thread
>>31853291
Honestly, the point is to try to educate people about the different types of keeping your stuff safe. If anything, i would like to know if cost is any real variable when you are considering the security of your property.
>>31853455
So you agree a safe is the best option.
I've never even held a gun.

That's ok, most of this board hasn't either.
The United States has been putting stealth bombers and fighters into production for the last 33 years.
Why are Russia and China still only in the prototype stages in 2016? Is it really that hard ?
And why aren't countries outside of those two not even close to just getting to the prototype stage?
>>31853217
The J-20 is pretty close to being approved for production, I believe.
>Is it really that hard ?
Yes. Yes it is. The process to develop engines, airframes, computers, software, etc is immense. Even building the equipment and facilities to make those components and train the people how to do it, the system for R&D to a successful aircraft is astronomical.
>>31853217
>How come poor countries don't have nice stuff
Gee, that's a doozy.
I just investigated my grandfather's bullet collection, what calibers are those?
Here's a cookie for size comparison
>>31853154
Look at the bottom of the cartridges idiot. Shove the cookie up your ass, and stop being underage.
>>31853211
That's not a helpful answer.

The bottom of the bullets tell you what they are you fucking dipshit
if Russia/China/whatever country you hate invaded the US mainland, would /k/ be able to form a effective resistance?
Possibly.
The Warsaw ghetto held out for a month.
>>31853089
/K/ would have to operate like the Taliban does. Lots of IEDs, long range snipping and blending in.
The main problem /K/ would have is we would make a new thread with the photo of the IED we just baked up.
>>31853089
Not unless masturbating to anime counts as resistance
All things Nato, I would also love for my country to join before Russia steamrolls our meagre defense.
On a similar note, how far would Russia go before Nato could mobilize ? It would take weeks for Murrica to get heavy equipment across the atlantic so I imagine Russia would be well into Germany by that point.
>It would take weeks for Murrica to get heavy equipment across the atlantic
You mean the mountains of equipment that's already sitting across Europe?
>>31853080
Same here. Sweden repping, BTW.
When it comes to mobilizing... I think that the Russians wouldn't actually invade a NATO country. They might gain some in the short term, but if they don't go nuclear, they wouldn't win an offensive war.
>>31853099
This too.
Alright /k/, here's a scenario for you.
> Be Britbong
> Suddenly, all the Kebab starts causing trouble, targeting non-Kebab
> All I've got to protect my home and family with is a Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22.
How buggered am I?
Better than not having a gun, and despite .22LR being meek from pistol barrels, from rifle barrels, it's not actually a terrible performer, it penetrates deep enough to be dangerous (not that a .22LR pistol isn't dangerous too), and with the light recoil and low noise, it can be pretty useful in an emergency. Especially if you have a silencer (or if you make your own, don't need anything advanced for .22LR)
It's also the fact that it looks like a "military assault rifle" to the average idiot, so that can really help just from a deterrent factor alone.
>>31852763
Do you have a magazine capacity limit in bongistan? If you don't, I'd say you're actually doing OK with that .22 semiauto. Make sure you have some quality ammo stockpiled.
dont britbongs get in trouble for defending themselves? especially with a gun?
Every small shop in my neighborhood got robbed in one night.
Company policy is noguns.

I chose the mace.

Next Gen Ultra Long Range SAM for the PLAN successfully tested.
Rumored to be the HHQ-8 500km SAM.
>>31851837
The booster-stage is gigantic.
Nearly as long as the missile is.
>>31851847
Cold launched as well.
It's said that this missile will only be equipped on China's Type 055 Cruisers, as only they have the 9m deep VLS cells to house those ultra long SAMs.

What do the police do with all the weapons they take from criminals?
How can I buy them?
>>31851695
Well that depends if the gun was stolen it goes to the owner. If the serial number was scratched off then they would melt it. If the gun is legal then they sell it off to gun stores for parts.
As with all other things hasfuns, it has to do with whether you live in a free state or a slave one:
http://www.moneytalksnews.com/11-states-where-police-sell-confiscated-guns-citizens/
>>31851695
Like the other guy said, if they can trace it back to the owner then they give it back to them. If they can't, what they do next depends on the police department and prevailing political winds:
1) They auction off the weapons to the public, or...
2) They destroy them because "muh children" and "one less gun on the streets".
Here in Houston they used to auction them off, then we got a dyke mayor and she changed things now they destroy them. They make exceptions for weapons with historical value, thank goodness, and try to find them homes in museums if they come across them.
