so, a long while back my father got a revolver in a trade. the revolver had a squib load and the owner tried to drill it out, and in doing so he broke the drill bit. i was wanting to get it repaired before christmas and surprise him with it. do you guys even think its doable? or is this a too far gone kind of situation.

use a few drops of penetrating oil and try and press (with a drill press, shouldn't need much more) the bit out the way it came.

if it binds, just forget about it. perhaps get a new barrel if that's cost effective
>>
Take it to a shop with an EDM.
Pound it back down the barrel with a close fitting brass rod.
Pour a bunch of mercury into the barrel and let it dissolve the lead.

this is probably a horrible idea but just fire it again using a blank.

Will we never again see cheap, beautiful Karabiner 98ks? I have a new found love of the 98k but I don't want to spend $1500+ on one in great condition and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of stocks to replace the lesser quality ones, is restoration a lengthy and expensive process for the 98k?

The only reason they """supplimented""" the M249 with the M27 was an excuse to replace the M4. Clever girls.

sup /k/,

Thinking about starting an online shop for firearms accessories and possibly guns in the future.

What makes you keep going back to your favorite online shop? Price is an obvious one- but I wouldn't be able to beat out large vendors. What is the best way for a small shop with limited inventory to provide value?

Also as an aside, how the fuck do physical store fronts stay in business?

For the love of god have a decent website that's easy to browse. Invest in a good website and everything else will follow I promise you, I've bought guns from both impact and buds in the past but refuse to order accessories or ammo from them because the layout simply doesn't work for them in my opinion and it may seem petty but I won't support a company that doesn't seem to care about ease of shopping. Give me filters so I can shop accessories and parts by the gun/brand. Let me shop ammo by round count or type, or both or round count, type, brand, cost per round and mlp character themed casings all at the same time without reloading the page 6 times. When someone buys a gun your website should offer extra mags and holsters/accs on the same screen. I know it's a lot to ask and I'm sperging a little bit here but this has bothered me for years.

Sup guys. What do you all do for work? Do you like your jobs?

Left one ar manufacturer to go work for another. Realized I just need to run my own business. The ar market is the current hk snob market. I'm 35, when I was growing up varmint shooting was a past time...now people just like to take their expensive bullcrap to a range and shoot paper, dirt, and steel.

Any of guys still like to partake in the slaughter of pest?

I work in a group home, supporting developmentally challenged teenagers. You guys joke about autism, but I work with people who have legit autism, it's different than you guys probably think.

I love the job though: the residents love ya, you chill with them, take them places, great company, awesome benefits.

>With the deck fouled from the cable break, the third MiG – which was on approach closely behind the second fighter – was told to circle back into a holding pattern while the crew of Admiral Kuznetsov cleared the deck for the next landing.

Hey /k/ommandos,

What are the practical applications for roller skates/blades in an urban combat situation?

I am much more mobile on roller blades due to the extensive amount of time playing amateur roller hockey in high school. Assuming that the skater can maintain a stable shooting platform, would this be a viable method of infantry movement?

you faceplant IRL and thats it for you.

also combat terrain isn't predictable, and the inability to transition to vehicle easily is a major setback to functionality.

they would only be combat feasible if they could be quickly transitioned to normal footwear mode.

could be kind of neat for airsoft, and civi rollerbading is sick fun.

but you would be really sticking your neck out ever trying this IRL
>>
>>32077012
>they would only be combat feasible if they could be quickly transitioned to normal footwear mode.

and there couldn't be any pause for the transition, combat erupts unpredictably, and crouching for cover isn't as easy in blades, nor is getting up from prone position.

Is the reason the sand niggers are always have ak's because of the Soviets being there back in the day?

Either that or arms dealers selling off stockpiles after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Or the Soviets or Chinese sold them.
>>
>>32076390

Sold them to the governments and were stolen I mean.
>>

Also it's so fucking easy to use and maintain, you can even teach a 12 year old everything he needs to know about it to use it in less than 10 minutes. Some people even do that.

It's almost impossible to loose an AK part when cleaning it, even if you're in the fucking jungle and it's night. Loosing an AR part in a similiar situation is easy.

That's the reason there's so many manufacturing countries all over the world, and they all sell them since 60 years. So the 3rd world is fucking full of them. But the G3 and FAL are getting closer and closer in terms of 3rd world use.
