Who /military/ here?
Is 25 too old to join the Army as an officer and hope to one day become a General? Most Generals I can find joined at 22 years old right out of College
>>32059654
And how many of those generals are academy and war college graduates? How many of them have a PhD from a top twenty university?
>>32059654
30 is what I would call the end of days.
25 is older, but as an officer, it may play to your advantage with maturity and clear thinking as opposed to a 22 year old
>>32059712
The fuck if I know. The majority aren't from the Academy I do know that. The majority of them do have Masters degrees and maybe like 2 I've seen have PhD's at all. Talked to two Colonels and both said you need a Masters degree if you are even dreaming of reaching 0-6
If you're looking for a cheap gun, there are much better options out there than buying an ugly HiPoint. Two months ago I picked up an EAA Witness Polymer 9 to use as a junk gun. It turned out that this gun is one hell of a bargain at $250
I've put a total of 1200 rounds of ammo through this gun, from WBB to Federal, to S&B and reloaded stuff. It has functioned flawlessly. For $250 it's a well built and solid feeling and performing gun. The gun is built on the classic CZ75 design.
In double action, the trigger is like 13lbs+, it's heavy. In single action the trigger is 5.5lbs with a short smooth and crisp breaking trigger.
The magazines drop free and smooth when releases, and they are metal mags. The polymer frame is well finished with no molding lines or rough spots that aren't finished smooth. The gun includes a picatinny rail.
At $250 these things really a bargain and and will compete will a gun costing nearly twice as much.
no /ktg/? let's get to it.
this thread is about knives. what do you like? what's your edc, what do you take inna woods, what do you throw at intruders, what hangs from pupper's collar.
get sharp.
>leek
>kukri
>redhead
in that order.
>>32057999
shrade machete didn't stand up to a few thick branches. lost the grip, negro rigged it with some free t-shirt and grip tape. serrations were useless until i filed them down, still some work to do...
i kill trees for fun (and bird watching)
>trump wins
>prices still the same
why the fuck isn't it dropping?
it hasn't even been two weeks
the only way the prices would drop fast is if owning guns was proven to give you aids
>>32057350
He isn't even president yet bb
>>32057350
ahahahaha you thought prices would drop hard and fast?
anon cmon man, its going to be a year or so before they start to drop.
although i have seen a decline in price on ammo and ar-15 and glock stuff.
Would /k/ want to serve alongside women in the military?
We already do,
We even have some femanon /k/ommandos on here, shit even a few traps.
What else would you like to know, curious one?
I'd rather not.
only if they pass the exact same physical standard as the men
Might not be strictly /k/ related, but seeing as the most basic form of combat is hand to hand, I thought I'd ask here.
For modern warfare uses as well as self defense, are there any martial arts that are worth it?
I personally think convention ones like Karate and Kung Fu seem flowery and outdated and I hear much fanfare about modern styles like Krav Maga and Systema.
>>32052523
Krav Maga
>convention ones
Instead of learning meme arts, why don't you figure out how to speak English? That way you can simply talk your way out of a situation.
>>32052534
Mate it was one typo, the a and the l didn't quite hit, I know. Could you stop being pedantic though and just stay on point? I came here for advice on martial arts, not on my English.
>put a PTR up on Armslist with a PA 1-6x scope, chest rig, a bunch of mags, and a few hundred rounds of .308
>say I would prefer to outright sell it but I'm open to trades
>make sure to emphasize that I DO NOT want an AR since I already have three of the fucking things
>get eight offers in 24 hours
>each and every one of them is trying to offer me an AR
>they're not even close to the value of what I'm selling
>one of them was very offended that I responded with "No." and went on telling me how great his spikes tactical AR with a hogue grip and blackhawk stock and bushnell red dot is
>mfw
>>32050338
>X for sale or trade, no ARs!
>Hey will you take an AR?
This shit is why I don't sell guns online any more, or in general if I can help it.. If I'm not 100% sure I want it forever then I don't buy it. On occasion I might sell one to a buddy or a friend of a friend type deal.
I will say forum sales (arfcom/gunboards/etc are usually alright because people are a little more dialed in than when surfing on their phone..
>>32050338
>PTR regret
well your learning at least
