Is there any merit to the claim that Trump could unite the US with Russia militarily in the near future (in a joint operation against threats in the Middle East for example) or is that all just hearsay bullshit? What do you think would happen realistically if the United States and Russia become allies?
>>32069527
Russia would become another dirt fucking poor welfare military taking every training exercise to "accidently" lose more joint operation equipment and demanding we pay for more and more of their shit if we wanna stay on their good side
In the Middle East, it will be business as usual. The Russian Federation will continue its indiscriminate bombing throughout Syria in attempts to prop up a failing regime while unenthusiastically continuing to root out the true insurgent forces when it pleases their agenda or when it makes them look good. Russia will likely be able to ramp up its bombing campaign even further, as Trump seems to have already favored capitulating to Russia and letting the former Soviet Union do "whatever it takes" to destroy ISIS, an entity which according to him, "was created by Obama".
The European theatre is a much larger question mark. Trump has certainly voiced his opinion in regards to the United States participating in NATO -- his remarks have often been less than warm in regards to our allies not "paying their fair share", proof that a man of his temprament with a lack of international relationary knowledge should not be in office in the first place. Those not interested in politics or international relations often claim that the Obama administration has dealt with Russia by simply cowering in fear. Those whom are interested often note a flailing nation acting out due to extremely constricting sanctions and a massive buildup of NATO troops throughout Eastern Europe. I firmly believe that if the legislation allowed for Obama to run for a third term, we would see a cornered Russia lash out in ways that would lead to war, and perhaps even its own collapse.
American foreign policy in a future with Trump is dismal regardless, because no one knows whether he will stay true to his word as a wild card and throttle back American involvement in both theatres, or whether he will simply serve as a puppet to a Congress who would gleefully welcome a second Cold War.
Regardless, there will not likely be any military alliance between the United States and the Russian Federation. If Trump remains defiant against pressuring Russia, then we will likely see the United States capitulating to Russia in several ways (think armed interventions, forced annexations, human rights violations en masse with no sanctions). Regardless, Trump alone will not be able to draw down the buildup of NATO forces, especially as he works with an all Republican congress that is already set on increasing the defense budget by a minimum of $500 billion.
Hey /k/, I've been wanting to purchase a Winchester lever action for a while now but I've seen people mentioning that they're made in Japan. Does this imply that they're poorly made? Should I go ahead and get one or look elsewhere?
>>32067261
Don't even bother with lever actions unless you are looking for a nice wallhanger. No one can make them worth a damn under $2,500. And yes American made and Japanese lever actions are absolute shit.
>>32067341
Hm, thanks for the tip. That's a little disappointing though. I really like lever actions but have never owned one so this is news to me. Any specifics what makes them poorly made? I thought brands like Marlin and Henry were generally good at quality control.

Calling on all AZfsgs on /k/.
My friends and I are planning on camping soon and we wanna bring our gins and gear and do some shooting as well. Anyone know any good places up north? Also general az shooting discussion thread.
>>32065070
Go up to one of the reservations and hunt pie people.
I don't know what you're hunting so I can't say for sure. That said the hunting areas around Flagstaff is supposed to be good for a hunt but since I personally never been there I can't speak for sure. However, stay away from the areas from the south of Phoenix there isn't anything much down here. To many ATV'ers making noise and if it isn't them it's either the Border Patrol or illegals.
>>32065267
Not trying to hunt. Just wanna go out somewhere up north and camp for a fee days. Bring some guns with us and do some target shooting. Apparently Prescott national Forrest is good to go in terms of shooting innawoods. Just need to hike out a little ways from campsites.
>soldiers in basic are able to zero their rifles in under 10 rounds and at a reasonable time without much training
How the fuck is this possible. I dryfire my rifles constantly, practice getting into a prone position with my rifle tucked unto me and line up my sights perfectly yet I cannot fucking get a decent enough group at 50 or even 25 yards. What in the fuck am I fundamentally doing wrong. This isn't shooting bullseyes at 25 with your weak hand but it seems like it no matter what.
I don't like to complain but this is so frustrating and I need to vent because no amount of practice seems to do anything.
It requires talent

Because you're trying to be John Wayne, some poor private is just trying to not get yelled at.

I have a pair of boots. What do you mean by this?
it allowed the French to economize on troops across most of the line, and concentrate them in the North and in the Low Countries, where they could win a decisive victory
Which didn't happen
Because it meant the invaders could do the same thing
And yet they lost. Horribly.

Raven Arms MP-25. Thoughts?
Please don't bludgeon me too hard. I was given one in new unfired condition.

That's because if they'd fired it it would have blown up, sell that gun online for $100-$250 and buy a Hi Point.
DO NOT SHOOT THIS GUN
As a guy, would I be ridiculed for using this as my cc? I'm really slim at the waist and I don't like appendix or 6 o clock carry, so anything but the slimmest would bulge quite noticeably. It is a tad bit small in my hands, but I can get the whole mag on target just fine.
3913 ladysmith in case you fags don't know. I don't have the money for a "man" gun, and this was given to me by my mother.

When exoskeletons become mass produced, will they be protected by the second amendment?
desu they'd probably be closer to cars and forklifts as far as legislation is concerned desu
>>32076376
Nope, same case as bullet resistant body armor.
If it meets rating similar to the Military models it would be illegal. I can see a civilian version being made, but i doubt it could carry enough wait to use bullet resistant plates.
>>32076429
Body armor is not illegal unless you live in a cuck state like Connecticut that requires face to face sales.
