Planning on buying a SPAS 12 sometime off Gunbroker.com. Any tips, advice, comments, questions, anything?

why

Never owned one but from what I understand it has a buffer than needs to be swapped out after so many firings or else the recoil impulse can crack the receiver.
They're cool as fuck

Because maybe some people don't buy luxury items based solely on needs, cocksucker?

go find BOOF's write-up on it.
I was in your shoes once..... until I read up on just how much of a turd it is and how it literally falls apart by itself with use.
Do yourself a favor and get a Benelli Nova or M3 or M4
I don't know. SPAS 12 is pretty iconic and has the two firing modes.

It's iconic but there are other guns with dual modes. You can get a tristar tec12 if that is what you want for around $500, and it's just a benelli clone from roachland.
The spas 12 is super cool but I would want to make sure it has all the necessary updates for safety.
the hook ontop is suposed to act like a crowbar so legit af

There's a guy on youtube that has a video guide on what to look for when buying one. it's how to buy a spas 12 i think.

Are you using it to hunt clever grills

Stupid girl.

If you get one, its worth replacing the recoil buffer, and if its a folding stock, the polymer washer in that too, as they become brittle over time and will shatter, and then your gun will damage itself with recoil.
Theres a company that still makes these, Im sure you can find it on a SPAS enthusiast forum.
Also, make sure yours has the push-button safety, rather than the earlier lever type, as the lever type has a chance to fire the shotgun when switching from safe to fire, alternately, always use it with the safety off and double up your vigilance.

>luxury item
It's an expensive piece of shit, OP. Anybody that has ever owned one can tell you that much. Take that cash and buy a newer shotgun that isn't stuck in the 70's.
