How would the war of changed if Germany dropped a nuclear waste bomb on Britain in 1944?
>>32211674
Uhh, the aether would implode and John Wayne would ride in killing all the Nazis in that timeline.
>>32211674
yo wtf am i looking at here?
Then Britain and the US would have started using gas.
And the army with Jeeps is a lot better placed to win a gas war than an army that relies on horse drawn carts.
Will the prices be better before Christmas or after Trumps inauguration?
Also - gun show bingo thread please, I find them funny.
>>32211605
No, just like anything else they hike up the prices to meet the influx of show goers. You may find a deal or two on some obscure item, but on the whole no.
>Sporterized milsurp for more than an intact one is worth
>>32211605
Why does this pic look familiar?
Did you take this from one of the classic WW2 CoD or Medal of Honor games by any chance?
How do you disarm someone with a shield /k/?
My googlefu is weak, or its a useless tactic no one practices. Couldn't you pull the shield to the ground, use your foot as a fulcrum and pull the defend over with his shield using it as leverage?
What about weapons designed with chains that can wrap or strike behind, like a morning star or whip?
>>32211553
Zerg the fuck out of them and trap them under their shield. Pull the shield away from them with a hook or some shit. Or defeat the shield with a bullet.
>>32211553
You don't disarm people with shields, you stab then around their shield.
>>32211601
what if neither of you have weapons but they have a shield
Why are so many soldiers incompetent?
What is it about the military that you get all the worst kinds of people?
>>32211287
>dude free money lmao
>>32211287
It's extended childhood basically.
You don't have to worry about finding and holding a job, you don't have to worry about getting a house, you don't have to worry about anything since you are provided with everything and just following orders. It's also an easy way to boost your ego. Also free benefits.
Why do you think so many vets end up homeless on the streets? They're man-children unfit to take care of themselves.
Low requirements for entry
High risk
Moderately high pay for low intelligence people
So this isn't going to be straight to the point but bear with me, it is all important to the situation.
So I have to get a surgery in some months (nervous as fuck about that in and of itself lol)
For it I have to travel to Detroit and pay $3000 in either cash or money orders (the surgeon takes nothing else). Meaning I'm going to have shit to protect at least until the surgery happens. Also afterwards I'll be completely and utterly defenseless and likely in much pain/discomfort if not sitting or laying down. i.e. incapable of doing anything but standing my ground or sitting there helpless. (I'll have someone with me to wheel me around and grab me ice and all that fun shit)
Fuck, side question: are you even allowed to CC when on pain killers legally due to an operation? If not I can get my GF to get a CCL up here. In fact I'm probably going to have us both carrying anyway just like we do up here.
I live in Alaska, and by the time I go I'll have my CC permit (I don't have it yet because it isn't required here to CC. We only issue them so you can travel with your gun and get CC permit reciprocity from other states).
Here's the actual question part:
What are some things I should know about traveling with a pistol and CCing it in Michigan and possibly also Illinois and Indiana (might fly to Chicago)? Also anything I should know about crossing state lines with a pistol and an Alaska CCL? I know nothing right now.
Any help is greatly appreciated and I'm sorry for the long winded post. Pic related, how I feel about the whole situation.
Didn't read but your pic made me lol a lot of lols
Did Google just shut down recently or something?
>>32211338
Yeah actually.
Read this post if you're a huge faggot.
I have a very /noguns/ question. Caliber is supposed to be an unit of measurement but why are there rounds which are clearly completely different and still considered to be the same caliber?
Example pic related. .50 AE and .50 BMG.
They are both considered to be .50 cal, but the AE is like 2 times smaller, not just on height but on every possible dimension. it appears that neither the bullet nor the brass have the same diameter.
So what gives? What am I missing? Also whats up with confusing names like 45-70 govt and why is a .45 weaker than a .44 or .38 and a .40 on pretty much the same level as a .45?
>>32211148
Calibre is the diameter of the round.
>>32211148
There is no standard for naming cartridges. None. The 30-06, for instance, is named after its bore diameter and the year it was introduced. Sorry if it's confusing.
>>32211148
AE:12.7×33mm
BMG:12.7×99mm
See the similiarity? .50 calibers is the 0.5 inch diameter of the barrel before the rifling is cut into it. It is the bullet itself that is relevant here.
Whatever gets your dick hard
>>32240045
Do you guys have /k/ids?
Do you teach them about firearms?
I was loading some Tula and my son wanted to play with the box by moving the rounds from one side to the other. Dat /k/ognitive learning man.
My daughter wants a .22 for xmas and I'm very tempted to get her one. She's only four tho and I'm thinking its a bit early. Probably will end up getting her it anyways haha
Why can't grunts carry sidearms on base anymore?
it seems stupid that trained professionals can't open carry.
Do officers and MP's just not trust your average grunt? does it interfere with maintaining order?
Remember Full Metal Jacket? For that reason right there.
>>32210987
>Do officers and MP's just not trust your average grunt? does it interfere with maintaining order?
nothin to do with military brass I think, the result of pansy ass civillian politicians
>>32210987
It has nothing about being a grunt, or a non grunt. Or even an officer. You carry a weapon on base if you're on duty, training it, or its part of your job like an MP.
Even officers, or any enlisted cannot just carry Willy nilly. Unless Trump changes that.
a thousand or two rounds of .30-06 AP in enblocs, a thousand or two more regular .30-06 in enblocs, a bunch of boxes of .30-06 and .30 carbine, a dozen strips of pouches with some sort of .30, a couple of olde 40s nazi 9mm, 20-50 boxes of .45 ACP, a bunch of .221 fireball, a bunch of other oddball rounds, some unopened .30 spam cans and a dozen or so random pistol magazines including two luger mags
all for $250
did I do ok, /k/?
>>32210865
sounds like you scammed the fuck out of someone
although the primers might be dead by now in some of those rounds
>>32210865
How the fuck did you manage that?
>>32210906
hangin out with a bunch of guys with "cash 4 guns" signs and a guy in a pickup truck rolls by and he had a bed full of ammo
so I offered $250 for it all because I'm cheap and he said yes
I've never seen this discussed here -- like, ever -- and it seems worth discussing. Who here has it, and which of them have you gone with? Has anyone had to use it? I just got an email receipt for my second monthly payment this morning, and it got me wondering what you guys might think of it.
Image unrelated.

>Self-Defense Insurance
I hope you read the policy limitations and exemptions. The problem is that self defense isn't illegal in most states and where you find people being charged with a crime in relation to the shooting you'll find that the people were not acting in self defense and had no reasonable fear of death or imminent bodily injury. Somehow these people thought that a gun was a way to solve a verbal dispute they could have just walked away from, but, they decided to escalate a situation and used unjustified force.
>>32210804
It's bullshit. Just like all insurance.
I never felt it was necessary.
>tfw live in AZ
What are you expecting to get out of it?
I have a shitty 16" 5.56 1:7 PSA upper that I bought during one of the mass shooting goat rodeos a few years ago, but I want a *decent* one for accuracy and durability.
Complete uppers run a full spectrum of cheap crap to holy-fuck-you-want-how-much, and it's not clear from the ads which ones don't suck and which ones are just WAY overpriced.
I'm not afraid to get off my wallet, but I also don't want to pay stupid money for meh performance.
What says /k/ on this topic? What AR-15 5.56 16" uppers do you like, and why?
Thanks for the assist, /k/omerades.
-OSITG
>>32210623
I'd buy the shitty upper if you're willing to sell
>>32210623
Why do you want 16"?
>>32210623
>I have a shitty 16" 5.56 1:7 PSA upper
>but I want a *decent* one for accuracy and durability.
learn how to shoot. your upper is perfect, but YOU suck.
Go ahead and buy a new upper, you'll still suck just as much, but you'll have less money.
Spend $400 on 1,520 rounds of ammo instead and go shooting so you can get better. That shitty PSA upper will outperform you every day of the week
Anybody looking for a good deal on a problem solver?
>>32210472
Cheaper than dirt reps drumming up sales by posting on armslist again
>>32210472
>must have permit to carry
really?
http://www.armslist.com/posts/6178761/indianiapolis-indiana-handguns-for-sale--pistol-for-sale
is this a good deal?
t. never bought a gun online befre
>no reserve auction with 11 bids and over 2 days left
I can guarantee, that's not what it will sell for. Check back in 2 days and 5 hours.
>>32210147
Pretty much this. All the serious buyers will bid at the end with only seconds and crap left.
Yeah if it stayed around that price. I'd probably get the one that OaklandTactical is selling on there. Buy It Now for 550, comes with case, 2 holsters, 3 mags.
Anyone selling a used S&W 686? Ideally the 4" model, but also open to 6"
Also looking for a used Aimpoint T1 (or H1), a cheap 1911, threaded Glock 19 barrel, and a .308 magpul PRS stock.
Hit me up if you've got any of those things to sell
Kik: patdaddy30
>>32239803
.308 for which rifle?
G3, FAL, or AR?
>>32239811
AR, sorry for not specifying
