What's the coolest military rank?
>>32207978
Lance Corporal USMC
>>32207978
i like the colonel. the insignia has always looked cool to me
O6 is objectively the best rank
The Governments of the World want pic related dead in 24 hours, with as little collateral damage as possible.
Making it look like an accident would be nice, too.
How do you pull it off?
>>32207891
>orchestrate plane crash over Metropolis, the city he always seems to be in
>get selfie with the guy afterwards because he tryna be a man of the people
>fucking xeno with his hearts and minds bullshit
>make obvious discovery of identity and job
>red sun-lamps discreetly placed at work and home
>flash bangs when he walks into office
>50 bmg to the head and chest until gib
>everything scooped up and served at UN luncheon
Kyrptonite bullets exist and have fucked him up in the past. I don't know why the heck Batman didn't make one in BVS. Was he really THAT anti gun?
>>32207925
he's shot Supes with stuff like that before. BVS is just poorly written bullshit.
Anyone here know how to make a firearm using a staple gun?
Apparently some staple guns already have a striking mechanism and just need a firing pin or something (and a barrel obviously.)
Are there any guides out there for doing it successfully?
>>32207843
Just buy some and experiment.
>>32207843
Why bother? Real guns are cheap and much better.
>>32207843
I wonder what my range would do if I showed up with this.
This is your WSO for tonight.

>>32207774
Playstation exclusive?
If so, go right ahead and fuck off.
>>32207818
Belka, please.
I don't actually know though.
>>32207774
>virtually entire trailer is cutscenes
>tiny <1 second bit that might be actual gameplay
Too early to give any fucks, entirely possible it sucks balls but just has pretty bits between missions
>>32207818
Of course PS exclusive, for at least 6 months and probably more like a year. Although see above, until there's some evidence it's actually a good game there's no reason to care if it ever comes to PC or not.
Also pic related just came up when I tried to post, wtf 4chan fix yo shit
90% of people from ex-ussr countries hate russia
how would the warsaw pact had performed if they had attacked west germany in the 1980s?
wouldnt the conscript soldiers just deserted ?
>>32207734
>wouldn't the conscript soldiers just deserted?
Generally speaking, people tend not to run away when the consequence is death. Otherwise, the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan would have had more deserters.
back then it was much different. if it did happen there would be three maybe four days for the USSR to get as far as possible until either side used a tac nuke. Then everything would have stopped and the talking hopefully would start. The idea was USSR would drive through the Folda Gap, if they got through it was all but a nuke option for NATO. Most tankers on the NATO side had a time of living if it did happen between one to ten minutes depending on where they were stationed.
>>32207824
The other Warsaw pact countries may have been a bit more lax in dealing with people not wanting to fight for the USSR than the USSR itself. In a few years they'll give up entirely, and that without any military push for it.
A Russian deserting in Afghanistan would also have been pretty short on having somewhere to go. Locals probably won't be too keen on him. A DDR soldier in West Germany on the other hand would have a much easier time defecting to the west.
Simply surrendering to the enemy here would also be a much more appealing idea, and make it hard for the USSR to have you executed, short term at least. I don't think anyone expected Saddam to be kind to deserters, but that didn't keep the Iraqi army fighting in '91.
On the other hand, NATO would probably bring a bit more fire-power to bear than the Mujahedin could, meaning that the likelihood of death if you do not desert is a lot higher here.
So there are some things suggesting that the two scenarios would play out somewhat differently.
>Wow that's a very cool cabinet you there, Anon. Why is there a sander in it, though?

The ones you can shoot well.

Just pop a few satellites and everything in orbit gets rekted.
This is to be expected, right?
>>32207388
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutual_assured_destruction
>>32207388
Nope, both Russia and US consider their orbital assets as a part of nuclear forces and attack on them will lead to nuclear response. GPS and GLONASS may be jammed on your theatre of war (hypothetically), but no physical attack on satellites.
>>32207479
But does that include blowing up your own satellites so that the tiny pieces fly about orbit on there own?
Bitter sweet really just can't get over it. go on R&R to see my daughter. she's been staying with my ma since Mary passed, fucking rebel suicide bomber took her from us just after Janes 6th birthday. Only one from the whole company to make it. All my friends, comrades, brothers gone just like that. Then before I knew it…happened all over again. Rebel scum.
nah, it's ok! Papa Lucas retconned it all and it was mostly just clones! See, that way, it'd be more black and white/good and evil. No need to murky grey area.

I own AR's and AK's but I always feel like if someone breaks in my house I'd use my 45-70 ?
Does anyone else have this fantasy of making the gunfight tough? I would win easily with my AR15 but if i only had a few shots that sounds so much more fun, assuming I don't lose the gunfight.
I think it's because of movies where the person in trouble grabs an old hunting rifle in the nick of time to shoot their attacker.
For SHTF I beleive my AR or AK would be best but I would probably pick up my SKS just because of style.
Has anyone else ever thought of using old primitive classics for self defense or shtf just because?
The one upside of gun control is that I would probably go to my low capacity guns anyways.
Because you only need a few shot in the end?
So, it doesn't really matter, except in fights against organized opposition.
>>32206966
a single shot shotgun with a bayonet and a few shells in my pocket would be a fun home defense weapon
>>32206944
if you cant defend yourself in your house with 7 shots of 45-70, an ar15 with a 30rd mag wouldnt have helped anyway
Say you're in a total war against a country of similar stature to yours.
If you cause enough casualties to make the enemy retreat, do you shoot them in the back as they run?
>>32206806
And ruin the commissars fun?
They're not surrendering; they're trying to get in a better situation so that they can kill you. Seems self explanatory to me.
>>32206806
>"Fighting is the central military act. . . . Engagements mean fighting. The object of fighting is the destruction or defeat of the enemy."

I was gonna mail my target glock grips but Idk if explosive components are regulated in the mail.
Why bother with a striker fire when you can just carry a SA/DA cocked?
>>32206704
its called a DA
not SA/DA
There's SA, DA, and DAO
and because a cocked DA has a really short and light trigger and can go off easily
If you have a safety it's obviously not an issue
Your picture is DAO which is garbage and shouldn't exist.
Firearms in single-action mode need to be kept with the manual safety on (cocked and locked).

>this guy

why do you thing the Only distinction is made in Double Action Only
It's from a documentary on 90s' Russia, saw a very compact looking helmet. Not sure what it's called.
