No nukes. who wins and why?
The USA
>>32195075
China simply because they would use similar tactics but China has more man power, and maybe even better kit and equipment.
>>32195075
I think China has a vastly superior armed forces to Russia. Russians are all fetal acohol syndrome drunks and have nothing smart but potato. Chinese military is growing to be strongest in world with missiles capable of destroying entire carrier group.
Now before you start typing, know that I am fully aware that guns beat bows in practically everything. This is not a 'which is better?' thread.
Guns are better.
This is a 'just how does a bow match up to a gun' or rephrased, 'how much better is a gun?'.
So, yeah. If you are in a combat situation, and all you have is a bow. Do you got a chance to loot a gun from a fallen enemy or are you basically instantly dead?
>>32195025
Bows have a certain stealth to them I guess. They'll kill the shit out of anything if you've got a good shot.
>>32195308
The only way you're killing anything with a bow with stealth is if you score a headshot, like dead center of the brain.
Otherwise you'll have a guy screaming his lungs out because an arrow got embedded on them. I don't know if you've ever hunted with bows, but its usually a pain in the ass if you dont get the headshot because you'll end up tracking the prey for hours

found the guy who never bowhunted in his life
Is my DMR Shitty?? i bought low end parts where it did not count. All i can get is Sub-MOA, i want to key-hole the kiester everytime tho. How can i get better.
>>32194741
Honestly at that point it comes down to practice time and ammo.
-Consider upgrading to a better bipod if you're not resting it on a sandbag. An Atlas is probably the best out there, but a Harris Bipod works if you're trying to cut costs.
-Next, Ammo. If you really want to punch dime sized groups you either have to start handloading or pay out the ass for Match Ammo. Federal Gold Medal Match, Hornady Match, or Black Hills are all commercially available that will definitely do the job. Stick to 62/69/77gr bullets if you want to push it out past 300 yards with repeated accuracy.
-If you really want to splurge you can send it in to a barrel company like Krieger and upgrade it to a heavy stainless 20" or something similar for extra rigidity and better velocity. Don't go past 22-24" honestly, a .223 won't really benefit from any additional length beyond that and will simply make it a pure bench queen and nothing else.
>>32194741
If it's made with low-end parts and you consistently score sub-MOA I'd say that you've done a pretty good job, especially considering it looks pretty cool, never thought about fitting a DMR with that kind of 'perforated barrel-shroud' looking free-floating fore-end.
What is more deadly: land mine or grenade? Assume both are less than 1 meter from you and both are modern variants.
EODFag
Grenade at 1m will hit you with both blast and frag sufficient to kill.
AntiPersonnel mine is commonly about 50g HE and primarily blast. Most don't have much frag as modern practice is to use a plastic body to aviod metal detectors. Possibly survivable at 1m as burying the mine will only give blast effects in a cone upwards
Anti-tank Mine. Usually 1-2kg HE and some frag from metal body = you're fucked.
>>32194573
a land mine wont explode if your 1 meter away from it. ergo a grenade is more dangerous

I've heard good about that one, added to the list
If you don't mind kind of dated 90s military Sci Fi, SAAB is a good choice. Last I checked it was all up for free on youtube.
Today my chl came in, and I graduated from nogunz to a UTS-15.
Anyone have one of these? What's fun and cheap to shoot that plays nice with this space marine shit? It's a Gen 4 so I won't shoot my hand off.
>>32194144
>Uts-15
Zip gun tier shit doesn't make you has guns

Between the years of 1952 and 1953 many NATO powers put their heads together to develop what was classified as the "curly Q" rifle barrel. The idea being that making the barrel in the shape of a loop before the end of the muzzle would put an enormous amount of rotary force on the bullet, thus hyper-stabilizing it in flight increasing its effective range by over 40% and accuracy by well over 65%. The idea was abandoned when the project wasn't taken seriously by the Joint Chiefs of Staff who thought it was a joke.
pic in OP is Captain John "Curly Q" Sylvester, the creator of the Curly Q rifle idea, examining one of the few prototypes produced during the short testing period.

That's a fine shop friend.
Are there any aftermarket curly q barrels for the ar15 platform?
So I have an issue /k/. I'm a 26 year old professional trying to buy my first handgun through a FFL just to go shooting at the range. Only problem is that I was denied during the background check (NICS). My understanding is that they aren't even processing appeals since the start of last year and when I gave them a call, I only get an automated recording the ate still processing appeals from summer of last year. So what do I even do in this situation? I live in Maine so I can't get around it using a CDW license. I wasn't born in the US but have been naturalized for 3 years and this state has been my primary state of residence for over 8 years. No outstanding tickets or whatever. No domestic abuse cases, felonies, etc. I did put in the request for them to notify why the hell I was denied but was wondering if anyone else is going through this process. I would just buy privately but the gun is one that I picked out and had to be ordered. Have a picture of my pup in exchange.
>denied in Maine
Literally how? do you have a felony or are you a Muzzie?
>>32193224
Most likely scenario is that your name is similar to someone who is on the NICS list.
Do you know if it was a true denial or just a delay and tour FFL mixed up the response?
Did you list you SSN on the 4473?
I had the same thing happen. I didn't even know what to do after I was denied.
I still haven't figured out how to fix it and this was in may. Apparently it's illegal for you to have a gun after being denied unless you can fix it so I wouldn't try a private sale.
At least that's to the best of my knowledge. Had a lawyer look into it but he was only interested because potential lawsuit could be had.
School me on snubbys
I need one for a back up in .357 for my ankle
Any opinions you post would be appreciated
>>32192952
For all your .treefiddyseven needs.
Break action snubb? I need this.
>>32192984
Dude i know.
I just pulled that off google but its sweet.
I like your style
Thoughts on the EAA Windicator? I finger-fucked one the other day and was impressed
>Made in Germany
>decent SA trigger
>heavy as fuck so manageable recoil with .357
Oh and Revolver General Threed, I guess
>>32192533
Bumping with interest. I'm planning to buy one as soon as taxes come in.
Do you think a small person could effectively CC it? I prefer a small of the back carry, about 7:00
Right now my only gun is a shitty Jennings .380, it was all I could afford.
>>32192699
Literally anything is going to be better than that, but I'd look at used autoloaders over a revolver.
>>32192753
I'm specifically looking for a revolver. I like them, and I love .357. Besides, all the reviews I've read have said it's quite good for the price.
And the Jennings I have isn't quite as bad as their reputation. It's the T380-ca, which is kind of their extra bulky model. It looks like a 9mm at a quick glance--it has the height and width of a midsize 9, but it's as thin as a pocket .380. Perfect for the kind of CC I like.
Talk to me on Springfield armory 1911s, I think the mil-spec 1911 A-1 is pretty sexy, plus my pop had one and I loved it growing up. Anything I should know before buying one?
>>32192421
>>32192433
/thread
Get a Colt or a Ruger, or an RIA if you want one of the 10mm doublestack monsters.
>>32192421
They're great.
Springfield is probably the equilibrium point of cost/quality as far as 1911s go.
>tfw you want a PS90
>cant justify the price of ammo
>no bulk ammo in 5.7
Any PS90 fags in here?
Is it worth?
I want one too. But I wouldn't buy one. If I was going to get a PDW i'd get one on an easy to find caliber because if I threw down the money, i'd shoot the ever loving fuck out of it. I'd carry it in my car. I'd crap with it slung around my neck. I'd play with my kids at the park and clear those creepy public park bathrooms for them. Every. Single. Time. Every time they even looked like they needed to piss, daddy's kicking in stall doors. I'd take it hunting. I'd get close enough to a deer to use it even if I had to soak in a hot tub of doe piss and lay ass up in some tall grass.
My point is. Buy a gun you can use.
>>32192312
I rented one, t thought the trigger was shit and I hate this whole trend in guns, speaking generally, of the sights being a foot above the bore.
It's neat gun but it needs a better trigger and round.
I would have bought one when they were down to 1k, but I didn't know that was a thing.
1400+ is more than I think it's worth, plus the SBR stamp and parts I would want to get.
Gonna cop one of these. Bidding on GunBorker, any chance I could see one for $500 at a gat show?
>>32192176
You could have had one on black friday for less than $500
