comptac minotaur vs beltman.jpg

So I just got a new gunbelt. Holeefuck is it a huge step up from that flaccid tapeworm dick of a Comp-Tac belt I had before. It's the Beltman 1.5" reinforced bullhide belt. Pic is comparing the Comp-Tac (left) to the Beltman.

I've been using this piece of shit comp-tac for two years and it made OWB so uncomfortable I only ever carried IWB. Very glad to finally have a belt that can hold its own weight, let alone the weight of a loaded G17.

What does /k/ use for gunbelts? Anyone else make the mistake of buying soft trash and not changing it for a long time because it's "good enough"?

What? This is a thing? Are you a cop or something?
>>

Most regular belts will sag under the weight of a gun
>>
>>32222307
If you carry, a belt that is designed for holding objects on the side of your body is typically more comfortable.

are you going to carry it? If so, have you carried other compact handguns?

I personally find that I don't get a lot of utility out of compact handguns. I love my LCP, 43, and 26. I've tried different holsters for my 19, and it just wasn't great for concealment. My 17, that I shoot better and find more comfortable is only marginally less concealable, at that point I prefer the actual shooing and capacity benefits over the concealable benefits.

For my 43, 26, and LCP I am ok with the more concealable benefits and less shooting utility.

The compact size is a compromise of both that just doesn't do it for me, so depending on situation I am more inclined to just go one way or the other.

Love my SP01, don't mind carrying it with a good belt-- as such weight isn't a bother. But P01 is nice and reasonably light.

What does /k/ think of the British army in regards to infantry. Would you say the British has the best quality of soldiers when it comes to marksmanship and fitness. Leave military spending and politics out. Just the quality of infantry.

I've always thought the bongs had the best, most disciplined infantry overall, though I don't exactly have any firsthand knowledge or experience about it. IIRC they do have one of the longest training cycles in NATO though so that's got to count for something.

Given the choice between a HK45 and USP 45, which one would you pick?
34 posts and 11 images submitted.
>>
>>32221397
For what purpose?
USPc is shorter and thinner than HK45C so i'd rather cc that.

If you wanna into solid snakeper8ing USP is the official gun for that.

I remember hearing about some sort of issue with the HK45 with SOCOM, I think it was the HK45CT (compact with suppressor sights, threaded barrel and extended mag).

USP is older so there's more used market available and it's more refined, Last I checked on armslist they were going for about the same.
>>
>>32221551
Edit: 45 is SAO and USP can be SA/DA, and the reset on the 45 is fuckhueg

Can /k/ help me out?

Im trying to get a gun but my BG check has been "delayed" it has been like that for 4 days and apparently acadomy does not follow the three day rule... I dont get it, i have never even gotten a a speeding ticket what the hell is taking so long? I have anither gun being shipped to an another ffl, so it worries me knowing that i might get delayed again. I know there is no way around it, but am i just unlucky, or is there a possibility they made a typo which is causing the delay?

Someone with a similar name in your rough area is raging fuckbag.

Happens to my father all the time.
>>
>>32221360
If you have a somewhat common name, there are probably 3 shitbags who share it who have serious criminal records. If you chose not to put your SSN on your 4473 (and I don't blame you if you didn't) then they could be making sure you are who you say you are.

>>32221404
I live in the greater mexican reich that is deep south texas, i wouldent be surprised if 30 people had my damn name with serious records. Thing was i did put my ssn down on the ap, the reason im saying what about a typo, is because i felt the seller may have felt a 4 was a 9 or some shit. Not much to do other han wait it out it seems.

What matters more when it comes to military aircraft:

Quantity or Quality
15 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Quality.

A single F-22 can shoot down 5 F-15s, no problem. A single B-2 can slip past a major IADS network and deliver munitions.
>>
>>32221028

It's always been about quality.

But who knows what the future holds, when it comes to things like spamming relatively cheap drones.
>>
>>32221108
It will probably only matter if they can make more cheap drones than expensive aircraft can carry munitions, and still have those drones able to destroy the aircraft.

Is it practical to tape 2 mags together to speed up a single reload?

War survival protips, as found on a forum, somewhere far far away...

Feedback welcome, .webm is BMPT advertising, displaying "well designed" propellant gas directing.

>War in general is uncomfortable but the worst thing in it is clearing urban areas from the enemy
>1. In clearing operations you must act like the joke: Always enter the room together - first the grenade, then you.
>2. Don't even enter an open office door. If your gut feels like there might be an enemy, don't spare your grenades.
>Pull out the pin and roll the first one in. 5 seconds after the explosion, roll in a second one, with the pin attached and immediately afterwards enter yourself.
>Who survived the first explosion took a cover position seeing the second. Capture him alive.
>3. When standing at a door, waiting for your friends preparing to enter: Hold the door shut so it can't be opened. Or else you will see a grenade or gunbarrel in the hallway.
>4. Roll the grenade along the room floor, don't throw it.
>5. Don't run in front of your friends gun barrel, you prevent him from shooting.
>6. Every closed door is UNTOUCHABLE, because it may be mined.
>7. Don't open crates, don't switch electronic devices. Don't touch anything, everything may be mined. This is important. Don't open the fridge door, even if you are starving.
>Don't open the toilet seat. Don't adjust a titled picture on the wall.
>8. Don't move dead bodies, tables or other items. Everything can be mined.
>9. After hearing the first shot - get down and do not fumble around.
>10. Keep your finger off the trigger. This often kills friends.
>11. Don't use ammo from captured supplies, instead of gunpowder they may contain explosive.
>12. Wear grenades in special bags, not open. There have been cases of the pin getting hooked behind something.
>13. It is pointless to waste RPGs on people. It's for armor.
>14. Don't tape your magazines. It will fuck up the feed and you will throw away both.
14 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
>15. There are three positions to the AK safety switch - Safe, Auto and Semi.
>When releasing it in panic, you will likely set it to semi. This is a design feature, so that a scared soldier would not spend his ammo in a second. Remember this.
>16. AK safety clicks loudly. If you need to release it quietly, pull it away from the receiver and smoothly set to the desired position (which is almost always semi).
>17. When moving to a combat zone, jump on the spot and confirm that nothing rattles. Loose belts and buckles can be attached with tape. Round in the chamber and safety on.
>18. Memorize the ballistic tables of your weapon. A bullet DOES NOT FLY STRAIGHT. Knowing how to estimate distance and knowing the ballistic characteristics allows to hit targets faster.
>This means you will be under fire less.
>19. Wind affects your firing. Learn the effects of wind on your weapon before and not on the go, by guessing.
>20. If you can choose a weapon, take the same caliber as most of your friends. You can't carry along a lot of ammo but it will end fast, especially in urban combat.
>If you can share ammo, it is a big plus. If your friend has fallen, don't be ashamed to take his equipment (after asking permission from the commander).
>21. If you are going to act on your own, take 360 bullets or 12 magazines. The same amount in your backpack in cartons. This saves weight.
>22. Remember that magazines on the chest and stomach are additional armor.
>23. Most deaths and wounds are caused by fragments. A thick jacket will cover you quite well from small fragments.
>If ontop is a combat vest with magazines, you can consider yourself quite well protected. Don't forget to raise your collar.
>24. An armored vest is good. Any kind of vest. Even a heavily used one.
>>
>25. If your body armor stopped a bullet, it does not mean the end. Energy from the impact can create horrible damage behind the armor.
>Ribs are broken almost always but ripping of internal organs is also common. Thus, when there is no hole, it is early to cheer.
>In fact, some times a hole is preferrable.
>26. Don't touch grenade launchers, they are complicated to operate, leave it to experienced friends.
>27. If you have spent some time in clean air, you will discover a smoker from 70 to 100 meters. Stop smoking.
>28. If you heard something, stop the group and stay quiet. Listen carefully. Even if you stop the group every 5 minutes, only exceptional retards will complain.
>29. When stopping, never stand. Crouch or go prone. It is tiring, but survival is in question. If anyone does not want to, force him.
>30. You don't hold a finger on the trigger even if the safety is on.
>31. On march, hold the gun on crossed arms. It is easy to bear and you can go into action fast.
>32. A gun sling should be around the neck. Or else, when ambushed - After a mine explosion ou will fly in one direction and the gun in the other direction, making you from an easy WIA to a KIA.
>33. Don't sleep on watch. If you fall asleep, not only the enemy will want to kill you. For that, in addition to losing your weapon used to result in death by official firing squad. Nowadays, by nonofficial.
>34. You can piss while crouching, to be a smaller target. It is a serious matter. On a prepared perimeter, there is no issue but on the march, you go to relieve yourself in groups of three.
>One man shits, the other two cover the perimeter in 180 degree slices. Many have been found dead with a bare ass and in their own shit.
>35. Sneeze only on yourself.
>>
>36. Who runs slow, dies fast.
>37. The effectiveness of grenades is overrated. There have been crases where a grenade explosion in a small room caused only minor injuries.
>38. Don't pull the grenade pin with teeth. Only fingers.
>39. Walls may have covered passages. With them, the enemy can quickly move between stairways. Remeber that.
>If you are in one apartment it does not mean that it is impossible to enter from the neighbouring apartment, for example through the wall.
>40. Wire fences and nets can be set to cover windows. They stop rifle grenades well.
>41. You can hear sad meowing from a cupboard. Very sad feeling about the animal, but it is probably locked in there with a grenade. You can't open the door. This is a very complicated moment - you want to stay a kind person but...
>42. If you need to shoot outside, don't stand next to the window. Go into the depths of the room, stand on a stool or hide behind a wall. Don't turn on the lights.
>43. Pieces of bricks or concrete have a tendency to fly directly into your eyes.
>44. Shooting long from the same position is a bad idea.
>45. Stay hunched.

Calling all the enlisted personnel in this board, past or present.

So how do I contract marry a stripper? I got shit from my chain back then when I brought different girls for different hails and farewells, and to the ball. I really don't have the desire to be married because of romantic love or societal pressure, I'd much rather be a sugar daddy when I need that blue pill, but for now imma just do me.

I reckon you don't overtly ask? My Change of Command is in a few months and the ball afterwards, so I need to make this happen.

I am also tired of having to be rear d Commander so that the married folks can have time for family.
