I know there's a bunch of you reloaders here, I have a question and I couldn't seem to find anything on it.
I'm reloading 9x19 I've never reloaded befor.
While tumbling the brass in Walnut media for 4 hours I noticed the outside of the brass is super clean, but the inside especially near the primer is still dark or has a shade to it, it's not shiny like the outside, it the brass just burned, or should I tumble it more? How do I get these little fuckers clean?
Deprime before wet tumbling in stainless steel pin media... Walnut is ok for cleaning the outside but does a shit job inside and in the primer pocket. For 9mm it makes about 0 difference so just put it on for an hour and then towel off the dust.

It's not a problem if you got all the shit out. Of your autism is very bad maybe get a brass brush.
>>32216269
I just use a sonic cleaner. It ain't perfect but does a good enough job.
Just realized that bullets can become unsafe or unreliable if you chamber and unchamber the same bullets too much
How do I know which ones are worn out? I have some in mags but the top ones might have been chambered like 10 times each
Calm down, it's fine. Unless there's a horrendous gouge mark or marring to the rim they'll be alright.
>>32216075
look at the back of the bullet for little indents. or alternatively just go out and shoot the fuckers.
You are afraid of bullet setback... Just measure them or line them up next to fresh rounds to make sure the old ones aren't a lot shorter.
Hey /k/ommandos
I am looking to get a budget Ar-15. My price range is between $500-$650. I don't really know anything about the current Ar market and what brands overprice or sell junk. I am also not looking for a scope. I will be using iron sights.
I would be fine buying it in parts if that helps, but I would prefer to just order it in one piece. I have been looking at a few on Gunbroker but like I said, I have no idea what to look for in an Ar.
Any tips would be very much appreciated

Here OP, just get this shipped to an FFL near to you that doesn't charge too much for the transfer and you are good to go.
>>32216065
Actually a pretty good deal there.
Pic related. These faggots won't even let me own a baseball bat and pepper spray in my own home to defend myself from rat tailed druggo cunts stealing my shit. It's still statistically unlikely but I don't want to have absolutely NOTHING to defend myself with in case it happens, just seems wrong on principle to be defenseless. Do I just buy them anyway and hope to hell I never need them?
Also, where should I move to? Are there any down under states that aren't run by morons? Would a court be reasonable enough to not fuck me if I defended myself with those items if I did encounter a home invader?
I don't feel the need to have a pistol on my hip when I go out, but not even being able to own such basic items to defend yourself at home is just way too much.
>Melbourne
You deserve it.

Very helpful

Melbourne is the driving force behind the decline of Australia.
If you live there, you're part of the problem.
So I have a garand and my next purchase is a bolt action, my first, but I kind of want to share ammo with the garand so 30-06 is what I'm looking at.
While a modern bolt action makes more sense with easier optics options, I am really really in love with the 1903/1903a3
Is $800~ what they're going for these days?
I know the best is if I can find a local place and look at it in person, but what are the things to look out for with the 1903A3?
I know for sure Criterion makes new barrels if the old one is in shit condition, but outside of that, what am I in for?
Your money, your call OP.
Personally, I would recommend a 1917 Enfield chambered in 30-06. Higher mag capacity, faster bolt, more unique.
>>32217187
how much does a 1917 Einfield in 30-06 usually go for?
If you really want to go old school, get a 1903, but you CAN go wrong with milsurp. You need to know exactly what you're looking for. You CAN'T go wrong with a Tikka T3.
Choice is yours
>big city protection
How do you protect yourself when you live in or you travel to cities where you can't carry a gun?
>live in
There is zero reason to live in a big city anymore, other than to brag to dipshits that think living in a big city is praiseworthy.
>>32215515
From someone who's lived in Britain all their life it's easier to just take the long unpopulated route.
Trust me, it's far easier to explain to police what you are doing walking along the M25 then explaining a knife or gun.
>>32215541
How is the sperglord life treating you? There's plenty of reasons to live in big cities. From work to social and cultural life, there's plenty of poison to pick.
/ak/ combat Giantesses Part Two: The Electric Bongaloo
>>32242093
I think it's coming together in a sense, the techniques/uses, the conflict she's in, in this scenario giantesses would be bretty effective in battle
by the way art-anon how'd you want to do this?
You draw a few images that go with specific scenes from my writefagging?
Or do you draw it like a manga?
I'm fine either way just tell me what you prefer
>>32242190
Set up a email and communicate over that. I'm sure the artist would prefer it that way as well.
What is the most /k/ band out there?

Sabaton.
What is /k/ opion on SCAR 17s? I already own a an all Armalite 20in barrel AR-10. But, I m thinking about adding the SCAR 17s to my arsenal. My bud needs money and will sell me his for $2,500. Plus, includes 2 mags. Is the SCAR 17s worth it /k/?
>>32215333
>$2,500
Great gun. Beats any slavshit AK or AR platform.
Only bad thing is its pricey but its definitely worth it
>>32215349
He's still low, but they'll definitely be $2650 again in 2017.
>dying in a stupid war when said war is not to protect your country from being invaded
Why do people do this? And do not say that is for love of your country or to protect your freedom, do they have a desire to kill and die in battle? Are livea worth that little?
I want to die in general so I think it would be slightly better to die for your country than in a rust belt suburb overdosing on painkillers.
>>32215269
Because its fun.
>>32215421
Fair enough.
>>32215441
War is over glorified and then you end up with 18 year old kids crying for their family while bleeding out.
Alright /k/, I plan on getting armed certified for the security firm I work at. They'll pay for the class, but I need a weapon first. Glocks only, 9mm, .45, or .40, full size or compact. What do you recommend?
>>32215196
Glock 17 or 19, whichever fits your hands better
>>32215196
>glock in duck hunt gun colors
HOT and WANT
>>32215196
So you can paint your gun whatever you want, right? Is painting an orange tip on a real gun against the law though? Like if you remove an orange tip from a non-firearm?
Anybody know of some decent sights that don't cost as much as a fucking rifle?
I want to get an AR and maybe throw a red dot or an ACOG on it but everything I'' seeing is either 400+ or $50 garbage.
>>32214979
Irons.
>>32214979
Vortex SPARC 2 or Spitfire 2.
>>32214979
There are some quality optics in the ~$90 range. I personally have a Primary Arms Micro Dot.
Could this be made into an artillery sized full auto asskicker?
The rings that keep the shells in place could be made like clips and after the last round fires the clip breaks off and another stack of ammo rises, I guess.
Why no full auto tenks or artillery?

I have never used an aftermarket magazine and know very little about them. It seems a lot of people buy them for AR's but I've always been advised, especially for pistols, to only use factory magazines. There is a lot of conflicting information and I'd like to hear what kind of experience everyone has had with them.
I am thinking about getting Mec Gar magazines for a new .380 to have something to use at the range (it only ships with one). $19 vs $38 is pretty tempting but the reviews on them are either blatant advertising or morons that probably put the bullets in backwards.
mecgars are good
never buy promag or nat mag they are what gave aftermaket mags such a shit reputation
Had good luck with 33rd korean mags in my 9mm AR. No malfunctions at all.
Yeah I like mecgars too and they make factory mags for some pistols anyway. The cz mags are good for sure.
