I know you guys hate hi-point but what'/ /k/'s opinion of their carbines? I'm thinking about getting a trunk gun and a pistol carbine soubds like what I'm looking for
>>32209840
Not enough cheaper compared to a sub2k to be worth the expensive single stack mags.
Also PCCs are dumb in general. All the weight and bulk of a rifle caliber carbine with none of the capability.
>>32209851
First part agree. Last part fuck you but you are possibly right
>>32209840
Most people on /k/ don't hate Hi-Point, we begrudgingly accept that they work well enough despite being ugly, cheap as shit, and with the ergonomics of a dumpster. Carbines included. They're functional weapons, but you shouldn't be proud of owning one.
Do you consider combating religious extremists by exploiting their beliefs unethical? Bacon-grease coated bullets, for example.
>>32209821
In war, nothing is unethical.
>>32209826
Postmodernist?
>>32209821
>Bacon-grease coated bullets, for example.
stupid example. But if they stop shooting to pray to mecca or whatever the fuck, light 'em up. Nothing wrong with smoking some hajji towelhead fucksticks.
Why is it so hard to find AK guns with rail system on them, /k/?
Why most AKs have shitty surfaces that make it hard to add gadgets? Its almost like they don't want you to put anything on the gun.
>>32209594
rifle is fine
WHY YOU WANT RAIL FOR KALASHNIKOV? IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH AS PROCURED FROM IZHEVSK MECHANICAL WORKS? YOU THINK NEEDS IMPROVEMENT? THEN MAYBE YOU FIND JOB WITH ARMY OF RUSSIA! YOU HAVE DRINKS WITH MIKHAIL KALASHNIKOV, TRADE STORY OF MANY WEAPONS DESIGNED AND DETAILS OF SCHOOL FOR ENGINEERING!
OR MAYBE YOU NOT DO THIS. PROBABLY IS BECAUSE YOU NEVER DESIGN WEAPON IN WHOLE LIFE. YOU LOOK AT FINE RUSSIAN RIFLE, THINK IT NEED CRAZY SHIT STICK ON ALL SIDES OF WEAPON. YOU HAVE DISEASE OF AMERICAN CAPITALIST, CHANGE THING THAT IS FINE FOR NO REASON EXCEPT TO LOOK DIFFERENT FROM COMRADE. YOU PUT CHEAP FLASHLIGHT OF CHINESE SLAVE FACTORY ON ONE SIDE, YOU PUT BAD SCOPE OF AMERICAN MIDDLE WEST ON OTHER SIDE, YOU PUT FRONT PISTOL GRIP ON BOTTOM SO YOU ARE LIKE AMERICAN MOVIE GUY JOHN RAMBO. MAYBE YOU PUT SEX DILDO ON TOP TO FUCK YOURSELF IN ASSHOLE FOR MAKING SHAMEFUL TRAVESTY OF RIFLE OF MIKHAIL KALASHNIKOV, NO?
RIFLE IS FINE. YOU FUCK IT, IT ONLY GET HEAVY AND YOU STILL NO HIT LARGEST SIDE OF BARN. GO TO FIRING RANGE, PRACTICE WITH MANY MAGAZINE OF CARTRIDGE. THEN YOU NOT NEED DUMB SHIT PUT ON SIDE OF RIFLE.
>>32209616
>>32209635
Faggots.
Probably because it isn't worth putting a $400 optic on a gun that is only worth $200 ASSUMING IT WORKS
AK's can't group for shit so why would you want any sort of optical attachment on them?
A flashlight might be useful though, but you are better off duct taping a maglight to it
/k/ has been tasked with opening the most operator Bar in the world. What drinks do we serve, what decorates the walls, how are our servers dressed?
>>32209553
Something like this but no Airshit
http://www.shootingbar-ea.jp/
>>32209553
Shots served in cut-down 20mm shells.
Rename popular drinks and give them fun names like the "Cheeki Breeki" or the "Mike Vining" while marking them up 20% over a regular bar.
Milsurp on waiters.
Militaria onnawalls.
This pretty well writes itself.
>>32209553
Anthony Bourdain visited a bar/shooting range in Cambodia where drinks are free but you pay to shoot.
What's up with 40 S&W?
It works fine but it's pretty redundant.
Unless you're competing in a USPSA major/minor power factor competition, just do 9mm. If you want more oomph, do 10mm.
>>32209504
It was made as an attempt to save face on multiple fronts, one that the FBI lost a shootout due to poore training/ shooting skills, and the other that the round developed to avoid actually admitting and addressing those deficiencies ended up exposing them again. (inb4 it was just female agents, it was both male and female)
Also this the two above me are right as well.
Anyone seen a can like this before?
Local surp store has a pallet full of them for about $20/ea. I can't find them online except certain fleabay listings for 70+ dollaridoos
These are probably the best cans ive found that satisfy my ocd/autsismo sorting habits.
>>32209384
Well then, I'm thinking you're a dumbass if you don't buy them all and sell them one by on on ebay. No?
>>32209384
just buy them and then sell them on ebay
then give us the link of course
>>32209834
>>32210033
That was a thought. I usually get the terrible end of the jew stick when i try and jew like that though. They're nice cans though. Just one average box high and about 4-5 wide
what is the benefit of striker fired vs hammer fired?
>>32209163
>Hammer
Second strike capability
Lighter trigger in SA
>Striker
Doesn't have a hammer to get caught on shit
>>32209163
>Hammer fired
Better trigger
>Striker fired
0.00000001% less chance of accidental discharge
Good for homosexuals who dislike tradition
>watching "Chappie"
>guy pulls out a Glock
>moves his thumb like he was pulling back a hammer
>sound of a shotgun racking
Just...why?
>>32209086
Because you watched a European film.
>>32209086
Because they don't fucking care and the main audience isn't gonna fuck notice. The only time these sort of things are done half decently is when the director of a film actually has an interest in firearms or an insane level of attention to detail.
>>32209086
Because everything has to be exaggerated these days. I remember seeing a commercial in which a family baked a loaf of bread. In the oven the bread sizzled like bacon and when they bit into it, it crunched like a hard apple.
Winter sucks overall.
>cold
>snow on your car
>snow on your driveway
>ice on your stairs
and so on. But it usually gives a lot of material for free, ecological targets in every shape, that you don't even have to clean up.
Did you shoot a snowman today, /k/?
yep, the neighbor kids were horrified though.
So much work to build a snow man, might was well shoot a child
>>32209002
>bears asleep
>big game seasons all closed
>no casuals to be seen or encountered
>tracking is at its best
>hare season runs till the end of April
>grab snowshoes and scoped .22
Winter sucks if you're a sadcunt I guess
Who was the best sniper of all time?
What they should be graded on
1. Kills
2. Tactics
3. Discipline
4. Leadership
My vote is to Carlos Hathcock, USMC in Vietnam. He had 93 confirmed kills but hundreds of unconfirmed.
>inb4 unconfirmed doesn't count.
Lets look at his weaponry, he primarily used a Winchester mod. 70 in 30-06. This cartridge even with a non lethal kill would more than likely result in death after a day or so simply because of the VC and NVA's lack of modern medical ability and the environment being full of bacteria's that would fuck you over with much more than a scrape. His other main preferred weapon was the M2 browning 50bmg with a scope. Not much needs to be said about the stopping power of the 50 bmg.
His tactics and discipline were superb, he was able to crawl hundred of yards over the period of a few days with foot patrols coming within spitting distance of him, successfully taking out a Vietnamese general and doing a successful exit afterward. What other instances can you give me of a sniper taking out a general surrounded by soldiers with only 1 shot.
He really started the age of the sniper in the US military as a force multiplier.
When it comes to leadership he was really second to none, He trained dozens of US sniper that turned out to be highly successful, the only other one that died in combat was John R. Burke who did not die as a sniper but was taken out while his compound was being shelled.
Other accomplishments-
Holding down hundreds of Vietnamese soldiers for hours with the use of overhead flares to illuminate the valley.
Taking out multiple HVT's such as that squad of girls with machine guns, that cunt that tortured US soldiers, skinned em, cut their balls off, etc. And a handful of other accomplishments.
His career was ended by a troop transport he was on being shelled, he got out but jumped back into the fire to save other marines who were still in the truck, this caused him to sustain multiple serious burns all over him.
>>32208908
Love Carlos, but gonna have to give the best sniper award to Simo Hayha.

>>32208908
The troop transport was not shelled, it hit an IED. I'm sorry about my autism.

If you cant CC a fill size pistol, you're using the wrong belt and holster.
>Implying the M&P isn't a good gun and the P85 isn't a tank.
Magpul stock is comfy.
Why does the military change their acronymns so freaking often?
>>32208572
They don't, they come up with new ones for new shit.
Seriously
Oh yeah?

Mil-Dot or BDC reticle for Trijicon Accupower 1-4?
Would it be better to buy it now or wait till Shot Show in January to see if anything better comes out?
Why not just use light .223
What's there to say?
.223 does all it can and gives you a little more velocity; it also has cheap plinking ammo.
No real point in going for .222 unless you've already got a rifle (say, given to you).
It's a good cartridge, of course, but it's kinda like .22 Long compared to .22LR. Similar thing, with the latter offering a little more options.
That was the round that supposedly took out Kennedy from the grassy knoll from a Fireball Remington XP-100.
What handgun would you buy if you wanted something because it was cool, not because it was practical?
pic definitely not related.

after watching a guy lose his fingertip, well... its a pretty ornament
Desert eagle or a magnum research BFR in 45-70
